surely. While when I said it, it had an air of unctuous hypocrisy, special pleading and devastating lack of self-knowledge.

Perhaps you lady bloggers could find work ghost-writing that sort of quaint quip for serious writers? I bet you could get "assistant" credits, in exchange for saving him the effort of searching out clever things to re-contextualize in a less morally vacuous context.

I didn't think it was. That Anne is "a contributing editor" to a city-centered Texas blog with no kids, at least according to her blog bio. We kind of assume that Anne has some Texas chauvinism issues, but as we can't get most of the pages on her site to load we can't be sure.
