Enjoy the weekend
Well, Got paid and attending the Breaking dawn party tonight so I will be out a little late tonight. Course, I have to work the next day but afterwards I'm heading to Hoosier Park for a round or two with the one arm bandits. Just taking in $20 and not spend my winnings ( If I can get any...) Hope I come out a little bit richer. Nah... I'm not aiming for some big numbers. I would be lucky if I won enough to pay bills for the month. Photos and winning totals later...

Breaking Dawn
Well, with about a week away, I have managed to get caught up in the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer and with the final book coming out Aug. 2, I will be attending the release party. I have my outfit being clean. ( I can't dress up as one of the characters cause... for some odd reason, I'm having a hard time visualizing them.) My father has already reserved a copy for me cause he work at a books a million and got me a discount but I will be attending the waldenbook party. I promise pictures and such for those who are interested.

The tents are going up.
Yes, it is that time again when good little christians come from all over the place and flock to Anderson. This year, a good chunck of them are opting for the internet in lieu of paying $4.20 a gallon. It's amazing how technology has come full circle to allow people and their beliefs to be allowed access to this convention this year. If it works for students who can't make it to classrooms, it should be able to work for whole congregations. I have a feeling within the next decade or so, we may see whole weddings and even funerals being performed via the web.

ps. for those who likes a bit of "spirits" with the good book, please note that the costs of alcohol will be high here. So B.Y.O.B.

Home at last.
Whenever the question, " What is the american dream?" ( Or replace "american" with your country of origin) come up. I think the answer is universal. To own my own home. The comfort and security of having a shelter to call your very own without the headaches of rent or mortgage coming in letter form each month is very freeing. Yes, I am a part owner of my home with my mom and I am enjoying it. Sure, you have property taxes every year not to mention insurance ( which I must stress to anyone who own a home to stop right now and get some insurance now if you don't have any. Don't be fooled with the notion that just because some poor family house was burning, robbed, or flooding on the six o'clock news doesn't mean that won't happen to you!) Our trailer ( yes, I did say trailer.) is free to be done in anyway we want it to be. And we have decided to trick it out into a style forward, eco friendly rockstar! We are faced with the idea that somethings will need to be replaced and repainted. Isn't that the whole fun of it? The pouring over paint samples and the debate of tile vs hard wood flooring. ( Easy to assemble bamboo flooring, baby!) Your home is your canvas and it will be you living in it so choose wisely because nothing says tacky when your best friends and family come over and start to snicker behind your back. And most of all, all that money you spent in rent or mortgage payments will come in handy for some new items ( *cough* flat screen tv in every room!) Got to run. Later.

Vacation is all I ever wanted!
Well summer is here and it's cold still. I'm looking for temp work before the conventions gets into full swing and I hope to purchase a few things. I made myself promise that I read some classic literature this summer.

Titles that I will be reading:

Beowulf

The Canterbury Tales

Great Expectations

Journey To The West

Maybe this will work for me... Hopefully.

This is summer
With summer coming ( what happen to spring?!) I will be out of work until the conventions start. My mom's car got repossessed when we were sleeping and my aunt had to put the down payment on a new one under the condition my mom handed her the checkbook and all so she can get her caught up with bills and such. My mom and I been talking about doing minor remodeling jobs to the house in our effort to go green. I asked mom why she wanted to go "green" and she just shrugged. We're going to put in a new vegetable garden in. I'm looking for a summer job to tide me over and keep money rolling in. However, with our landlord we having a feeling that she been padding the books on the debt on the house. We yet have to call her on it. I been thinking about getting Comcast installed but Anderson has been saying that they have been experiencing really crappy service so it either this or a dish. Who knows. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Safari for Windows?
As I was updating Itunes, I noticed that Safari ( an apple web browser ) now has a windows edition. Has anyone tried it? What your take on it? I'm a firefox user myself and I think it would be pointless if i had yet another browser on my laptop.

Mostly well under the blue sky
March has been a tough month for me but if you don't go through the bad things in life, you never really learn anything. Mom got a nursing job in Arcadia helping with the Mentally challenged so she will be working nights. We're moving back into the house on Tuesday and yet we still have to pay deposits for Electric and gas. The landlord has been on our case about the back rent and well, between having spring break and easter weekend, I didn't make as much as I would in a normal month. I have about a month til graduation in May. The anime club is having a Miyazaki/Ghibli and Kurosawa festival hopefully in April. More later

Ps. Utada Hikaru's " Heart Station is out! My favorite is " Take 5"

Stuff
Well, Spring break is over and I get back to work. I finished the Kare Kano series and I cried towards the end. That series was dark! Now I'm reading Boys Over Flower ( Huge shojo fan!) I rented the anime from the library and it seems so... 80's anime. It's pretty cool and I am awaiting for Gurren Lagann to come out ( Why ADV? Why must you push it back!?) I'm really busy with work and the current project of ripping out the carpet in my room. The floor needs to be repaired along with the drywall in the closet. More later...

Up and down
I been sick lately and it been a bad month for me. Besides using my tax refund to pay part of the house payment off, I found out that I will be off from work for a week when the University has spring break. We do have catering events going on but Management have been hinting they will be selecting a few people to work. We have a lot of catching up on bills then this happens. The water filter which was in my closet decided to break and explode all this water in my room and into the living room. We can't do anything about because we had no renter insurance. It's frozen into the carpet and we may have to replace it all. Mom talking about get people from her church to come out and help. She want to replace the wood in the floor with Marine plywood. The whole living with my aunt is just crap since every night is a screaming match with my cousins and my grandma. I just want to go home. more later.

Oh you know you did wrong.
we were being sued by our park manager to take possession of the house only to have a note posted to come see her. Turns out, the owner of the park got wind of it and asked her.

You're suing a widow who just lost her husband? Seriously?!

So we have to come up with about $2000 in about four weeks to catch up. More later.

Stuck
So our trip has taken a turn for the worst, the estate is a mess, we have no money to get back to Indiana until the first of the month, and I had to ask my boss if he could give me time off til that time. He said yes. Like I have said before, Listen to your gut... It knows what it talking about. My mother want to move back to Venice to be close to my sister and her family. I told her I would move back if she would give me until the end of the school year to save up for a place. I want to do it right this time. I hate the idea of moving away since I have great friends in Indiana but it not possible to get on my own yet. Tommorrow is the service and it gonna be hell...

? what now?
Yesterday I was getting off work and I turn my phone on. My mom calls me to tell me while I was at work, the sheriff department received a 911 call from my home phone number and responded to it. The kicker was that no was there at my house. The door were locked and the phone was on the charger. I didn't call 911. What bothers me is that the sheriff actually had to jimmy the door with a screwdriver to investigate. I'm kinda of worried that police can actually do that. more later...
