| | Saving Silverman on TV | ] | I love my room. If I had a camera, I'd show it to all of you. Very A's-centric. I have my flag with a few signatures (Crosby, Swish, Harden, Buckley!) hanging over my bed. A Matt Stairs poster, a Huston poster, and Vote Chavvy/Swish signs. And mini A's helmets. And signed baseballs. And... you get the point. And my mom might ship my bobbleheads, and I'm having a friend get me a Frank Thomas bobblehead!
So... moving in was very, very chaotic. I lost my beloved iPod in the San Diego airport. I was VERY distraught over that! And then my mom hated the house I moved into, and we couldn't get my student loan money, so I couldn't get books or anything immediately. Ugh, it was rough then, but it has definitely calmed down significantly. More like... it got better as soon as my mom left! :-). But in all seriousness, I love her.
I typed those last two paragraphs, like, a couple days ago. I like the autosave thing.
So, I went to the SDSU/UTEP game on Thursday and then the Padres/Reds game last night. I felt conflicted. I mean... HATTE!!! was there, but then, I'm slowly becoming a Padres fan (2nd favorite, naturally!). I cheered for Hatte when he hit his RBI double, and then felt bad. I really wanted to see a Hoffman save, but the Reds kept scoring. They eventually won 6-2. Hoffman is like 7 or 8 saves (I've lost count) from breaking Lee Smith's all-time saves record, and I really want to see that save. He better not do it on the road. Bochy should bring in like Linebrink or Meredith if he's going to tie or break it on the road.
The Aztecs game was pretty fun too. I was totally not myself. I was walking to the game, and at the 55th/Remington stop light, met up with some cute girls. I started talking to them, and went to the game with them. Smart decision! We hung out with, I believe, the players' parents (I think these are the girls who date/fuck the football players), and they gave us alcohol. Yum. This one stupid freshman chick was already wasted before we left campus, then she had some more before the game and was like tripping over herself. Stupid freshmen...
So anyway, being drunk at a game is so cool. It's like, sensory overload. I held back on starting a "FUCK UTEP!" chant. I wanted to though. And then in the third quarter, when we were losing by like 3 touchdowns, we left. Well, they said they were leaving and I was like, hell, so am I. Then the drunk freshman chick told me (on the way to the trolley) that they were going to a party, and I apparantly can't come. Great, thanks for telling me AFTER I left the game. I figured I pressed my luck enough. The Aztecs almost came back to win, as I saw on the news when I got home. Oh well.
I got home and told my roommate (well, he's not really a "roommate", but he has the room next door to mine and we share the bathroom and fridge) about the night, and he thought I was some sort of ladies man. Which I am not. Not in the slightest.
Speaking of ladies (smooooth), I met a girl in my Spanish class who also came from the same town and graduated from the same JC as me! She's cute, I look forward to getting to know her better.
What else has been going on? OH! I believe my Poli Sci teacher is an insane cat lady. She's crazy. I believe that all college political science instructors are liberal nutjobs. This lady really has it in for Bush. I think if I just say something about Bush sucking in every paper I write, I'll get an A.
I also almost lost my cell phone yesterday, that was scary.
I think I'm done. I love college. I love San Diego! |
