A&H kindly brought it back for me from Ottawa :) I like the little pinwheel accessory (they each ship with a different random accessory) and I'd like to incorporate that into the project. I think I'll paint it, I might sew a garment, and I'd like to make it a wig... Got a few sewing projects to finish first (top-secret gift for A, a turtle for Jordan because that's his nickname for me, and probably a doll for Jordan's sister) so this looks like a good B-project for the winter.
4 inches isn't very tall! I thought a mini would be a better first Munny project because there's less surface area, but it actually looks pretty challenging to work in this scale...

I'm lazy; first initial, last name. It seemed a good catch-all username. I have diverse online activities. It seemed stupid for me to be ukulele_jess on uke forums, spinning_jess for spinning, any number of silly names I could come up with for more fandom-oriented activities... and so on.
That said, I think it's time to move on and develop a less stalker-friendly online identity. Still brainstorming ideas for the new online 'me'. |

Have I told you guys about the Neanderthal head?
KC, the staff member at YAT who helped to start the costume group with me at the hall gave me a very thoughtful (but slightly impractical to pack) parting gift. The story is as such: my last costume night, we had to go to DIG, because the hall had a wedding in. On the way out, Dorothea and I browsed the DIG gift shop, and I made a comment about this item. I said that if I were a kid, I would love that. The next day, my last day at the hall, Kevin shows up with one from me! I was quite surprised by it. I knew immediately what needed to be done, and have acted in this yesterday when I saw my girl RO!
This has to be Ro and my's project. We are also considering getting the hair kit which is mentioned in the instruction manual (but I can't find it on the website- we might just do this with awesome FUN FUR). AND THEN.
We are taking our new friend out for a night on the town drinking! We will tell pretty girls that we will buy them a drink if they pose for a picture with our neanderthal friend. I will then send these pictures to KC one at a time :D :D :D
Today I went to the mall to get phone service arranged ("how's wednesday afternoon for the technician to go out?" "That'sfine." "OK, anytime between 12 and 6!" It's ridiculous the way these people work but nevermind!), took a scenic walking route past some places that were both familiar and not familiar anymore (the Connaught pharmacy is now an abandoned salon, without pro-life propaganda in the window!). Did some housework and some yoga today too. I forgot how awesome stuff sounds on my Altec Lansing speakers, my Yoga DS software sounded great! I feel loosey-goosey now. Tomorrow, I visit with Jordan's family :) |
