It's done.  I ordered one of the Sleep Number beds.  A queen-size 4000 series.  With delivery, it was about $1850, and it should be here in a couple of weeks.  I had to call the credit union this morning to increase the daily spending limit on my check card so I could get it.  I'm actually excited about this.

School

Classes are going okay. I have the same professor for both classes. He has trouble with preparation. For one assignment, I started it in class and asked him if I was on the right track. He said he didn’t know because he hadn’t worked it yet.

A lot of my classmates are having trouble, especially in economics. I think over half the class is having trouble in there, and I think it is 30% Dr. Byron’s fault and the rest is their’s. When we started getting to the math and Dr. Byron used the C-word (calculus), I could almost hear the impact when the other students hit the wall that prevents them from understanding the material, even though we are only scraping the bottom end of calculus. They have made an agreement with themselves that this is going to be hard, that they can’t understand. Until they make a different agreement with themselves, it won’t matter what Dr. Byron, I, or anyone else says.

Now all I have to do is keep myself from feeling badly that I'm doing well.

I’ve already done advising for next quarter. I’m going to be taking Financial Management on Wednesdays and Human Resource Management on Thursdays.

Why is it so hard for me to go to bed?  I know I need to, but I don't.  Is it not wanting to go to be alone?  Then why do I have trouble when I am sleeping with Demariana?  Is it that I know I'm not really going to rest?  Maybe.

I'm going to try.

If only I could stay focused and organized enough to get done what needs getting done.

You scored as Babylon 5 (Babylon 5)

The universe is erupting into war and your government picks the wrong side. How much worse could things get? It doesn’t matter, because no matter what you have your friends and you'll do the right thing. In the end that will be all that matters. Now if only the Psi Cops would leave you alone.

I asked a fellow student to dinner tonight.  She agreed, but said it would have to be in a couple of weeks due to scheduling, which is fine.  I don't know if it will be a date or not, but either way, at least I am trying to find the courage to ask.

Inspired by "Babylon 5" and brought to mind by a recent conversation, here are the four most important questions you have to answer in your life.

  1. Who are you?
  2. What do you want?
  3. Why are you here?
  4. Where are you going?

These questions are deceptively simple. The answers to these four questions shape your life experience.

You don't have to answer them here. You don't have to answer them in your own journal. You don't have to answer them in any public manner. But at some point, you will have to answer these questions. In fact, it's not a bad idea to stop every once in a while and reassess yourself. You've probalby answered these numerous times without articulating them in this fashion.

On October 23, I'm going to have a consult with an E-N-T specialist. We're going to talk about maybe permanent solutions to my apnea and maybe causes of my chronic congestion. I'm not so sure that is all from allergies since allergy meds don't usually do anything, unless there is a decongestant ingredient, and even then it is hit and miss.
