Incase you are going to Vegas, here is a link to the Palms website (well this is a link to the pool, and from there you can navigate to the Ghost Bar and the hotel itself. Skin Pool @ The Palms

Didn't do much today except work stuff and then tonite I saw "Minority Report." It was good and I guess my only question is, if they can build these super crazy cars that can drive up buildings, why can't they invent a better umbrella? People were still using the same dangerous old school umbrellas that we have now, yet other things were incredibly advanced. I would create an umbrella that just automatically jumped over your head when rain was detected, and you wouldn't have to hold the silly thing and it wouldn't blow away and it wouldn't poke you in the eye and you wouldn't still get soaked.

I'm working on the first batch of Hawaii photos right now and they should be up in an hour or so. woooohooooo.

I'm back and all the cams are on now, and I just updated the members show/chat schedule. On Sunday we stayed at the new (well it opened in November) Palms resort in Vegas. It's off the strip - just past the Rio - and I wanted to stay there cause I had heard of Ghost Bar, and that the hotel is for 20/30somethings. woo hoo. It was nice and the beds were super comfy and the pool was great! It's a nice mediumish shade of blue, and according to the matchbooks, it is actually lilac tinted. It's big and there are a few other small pools to sit in while drinking your fruity drinks. It was 105 of 110 or something while we were there and it was exciting to lounge on the hot pink floaty rafts in that kind of weather. The hotel also has a club called "Rain" which wasn't open on Sunday, but it sounds realllly cool. I'll have to go back. And Ghost Bar was really cool - it's on the 55th floor (not that the hotel actually has that many floors) and it has a silver/blacklight/futuristic interior and a great view of the strip from the outdoor patio.

John played roulette for a while and I played the lovely slot machines and I complained a lot about the smoke. I hate the smell of smoke so much, and now that I'm not used to being around it as much anymore my allergies go crazy when I am near it and I have a sore throat and a scratchy voice and more wrinkles than ever. hehe. Yuck - I wish smoking was outlawed.

Besides that we went to the MGM and hung out and then stayed at Whiskey Pete's last nite cause we were too tired to drive home and it was only $19. It's kind of a nasty hotel but they have a nice big pool and they have Hello Kitty stuff in the gift shop!!

And now we're back and I like how much less dry it is here and how there's fresh air! Scary how the valley's air seems so fresh suddenly:) Go check out the Palms!!!

We went to Formosa Cafe just now for my friend's birthday and now I'm thinking of what I need to do next. I talked to some guy in French - well he talked and I responded. I like getting emails from people in French cause I can understand what they're saying, but I am too bad at french now to respond in french. I was excited cause they had a fresh batch of the Humuhumunukunukuapuapua'a postcards there at the bar. I have quite a little postcard collection and now I have 3 new fishy cards. I have a huge stack of ocean/water/pool/Hawaii related cards to turn into a wall collage but I'm not sure where to put them yet.

Anyways, I'm trying to decide if I should bring the laptop with me to Vegas - even though we're only gonna be there for like 24 hours. I guess I will bring it since the room has dataports or whatever they are and I don't like to be away from my stuff for that long in case bad things happen. I just don't like leaving the computer in the car if we have to check out and don't head straight home.

Gonna be a HOT one tomorrow!!!

Oh the other day I finally figured out my next dream job - to be a hotel inspector - or a hotel mystery shopper - so to speak. I just wanna get paid to check out different (expensive) hotels all around the world and ideally I would want to be a mystery guest, or I have no idea what it's called, but it's where I could stay for free and report back to someone if the hotel lived up to certain standards. Hmmm, so is there such a thing? I wonder what I need to get started in this business. Even if I didn't get paid I would do it. Even if I had to pay $10 I would do it. hehe.

Okay I have my bag packed and I don't wanna come back. I just wanna read magazines and drive around and stay in hotels and swim in hotel pools and drink mai tais by the pool, and read magazines while drinking mai tais at the pool.

I think I'm drunk cause I just had a mai tai. In case you don't know, I realllly like reading magazines too. Currently I subscribe to or receive for free:

Vogue (snooty but good pics)
Bazaar (sorta snooty but good pics)
Details (Used to love it pre-Maxim, etc. but now it sucks)
Allure (love it)
Jane (love it)
Fitness (it's informative)
Shape (not renewing it)
Conde Nast Traveler (just got my first issue)
Islands (just got my first issue)
Detour (fuck them - they never send them)
Nylon (fuck them too cause they never send them)
Playboy (hehe. they just had a cool photo"spread" this month)

Magazines are great cause they are like $10-15 a year and provide hours of entertainment. And for my 50 other favorites I just go to the magazine store and read 'em there.

So what do you think of Kelly Osbourne's video? I don't know what to think. She has some interesting dance moves.

Another boring day over here...I wanted to see Minority Report and kept thinking about it the whole day and about getting tickets in advance and going early, etc. Well we ended up getting to the theater at 11pm and the last show was of course sold out so I dragged John to Scooby Doo. I didn't want to pay full price for it (usually I only do matinees). It was...entertaining. I think it would have been cool if they used the cartoon Scooby and Scrappy and just super-imposed them onto the film, instead of using that silly looking faux scooby. Wasn't Jessica Rabbit a cartoon/real people movie? Scooby Doo reminded me of the Brady Bunch movie for some reason.

Anyways, I'm answering emailssssss right now - I can never keep up - and then will add some new pics and more new thingies to the site tomorrow. Then we decided that we're going to Vegas on Sunday and coming back Monday. I'm not sure why we're going, but we got a super cheap rate at this swanky ass new hotel and I am excited that we won't have to sleep in the car like last time when we didn't have any money. I hope the room is cool so I can take picturesss and I will see about taking some pics at the fab looking pool if it's not too crowded. I really want to go to the Mandalay Bay poolio too but I'm not sure if we can get into that one or not without staying there. They have the wave pooool there.

So let me go update the schedule again right now...

Been another boring day of work stuff. I have been doing more tests all day and debating about the future of my cams and if I should add more, and what to do about the shows, etc. Whatever I come up with, I think it will be even better than what I have now. Oh and I'm definitely adding more cams - just trying to figure it all out. Just tired of all the testing and deliberating and realizing that I will probably have to spend more $ to make everything happen, but it seems doubtful I will see much financial return on the investment. Been working on the new cam interface and it looks cool so far I think...

I'm tired of sleeping cause I always wake up with a stiff neck and I can never fall asleep til super late and John always yells at me all night for being awake.

I love this Avril girl that's on MTV. I think she's like 17 or something.

So I think I may have said a few months back that I was sad that Scooby is just a CGI in the new movie. Now I am extremely sad that the movie is supposed to really suck. I guess I forgot that Scooby Doo is for kids, but it's always been my favorite cartoon, but now I think I feel too stupid going to see it in the theaters since it's supposed to be terrible, but Matthew "Casey" Lillard looks like he would make the whole movie worthwile... What should I do? I am definitely seeing Minority Report tomorrow or soon.

I've been working on boring technical stuff for the site all day and nite for the cams and getting everything ready to add the new cams. So this week is going to be a transition of sorts while I figure out the new cams, different audio, probably different show cams, etc... Things are complicated and I am trying to work with my slow computers for now and make things as fast as I can. Lots of testing.

Tomorrow I'm going to add 5 new streaming cams to the site of another girl and I bet you guys are gonna love it!! woo hoo!!!

It's hot. My roommate is going out right now and me and John are thinking of going out too but who knows.

Hey, do any of you have an extra computer laying around? hehe. My poor 24/7 streaming cam is dying on the slow ass computer I've had to put it on and as you know it's way slow now:( According to the faq for the software I use, a Pentium 4 will supposedly make the cam 30x faster. I briefly spotted some nice Pentium 4, 1+ Ghz, 20+ gig harddrives on ebay for $400-500 but I'm sure they would actually go up from there. Anyways, if anyone has computers or knows how to make them, maybe I can pay you or trade you or give you something to make an equal trade.

Otherwise I am not sure what to do about the streaming cam fiasco anymore :( Or maybe you guys don't notice it's slow and I don't even need to worry about it.... :)

ps. Oprah has the teacher on re: her cheating students. yippee!

Exhausted again. I did all the things today I said I was gonna do, so I guess I don't need to recap. hehe. We drove all the way out to Kaena Point, and for some reason I don't think I've actually ever been there. Crazy to think on such a small island I haven't done "everything." "The Bourne Identity" was pretty good and of the Matt/Ben duo, I think I have decided I like Matt better, but maybe it's just cause I saw him in person with Winona.

I am just packing and finishing up some stuff and then I'm leaving tomorrow so I should be home in LA late tomorrrow nite. If all goes well, the 24/7 streaming will be back on when I get back late tomorrow. I still have lots more site updates left for you and I will update the schedule asap. Probably I will plan a chat on Sunday and then resume the shows early in the week, so keep your eye on the schedule page. Ugh. I have tons of work stuff to catch up on, and I am behind on my emails, which is rare for me. Oh welll.

I need a vacation! Just kidding.

Boy I'm tired. My whole body aches from actually walking around a lot this past week and being busy most of the time. A big change from my LA lifestyle:) Can you hear those tradewinds blowing? Amazingly I've resisted an allergy attack this whole time I've been here - an all time record I believe.

Today my mom and I saw this movie "The Debut" which is sorta a Filipino coming of age story. The theatre was pretty deserted and they forgot to start the movie til I went out and asked when they were gonna start it. hehe.

Then an old high school friend came over and we went near paradise cove to take pretty pictures on the beach. I can't remember if I've ever actually been out to that exact area - except when I crashed the Ihilani pool with my ex and we actually got kicked out! The one and only time I've been kicked out of a hotel pool. Oops. So pretty pretty pics are on their way. U like ukuleles?

Tomorrow I'm meeting another old friend at his house out in the Ewa area and we're gonna drive along the coast out there I think. I also will inspect his pool. I am making a mental note of all attractive swimming pools in the world. There are some parts of the island to which I rarely venture, and it's about time I see these places again. Then I have to meet my parents for dinner and I hope we see "The Bourne Identity." Then I leave on Saturday at some time to head back to LA:(

I haven't actually been swimming in any pools since I've been here, but I enjoy viewing them and rating them on size, shape, color, proximity to the ocean, and whether or not they have hot tubs nearby. Yes I think I have problems.

My LiveJournal is Cool!

Awesome! You're not one of the teeny bopper kids new to LJ

who think people actually care about them and which smurf

they are! In fact, it possibly pisses you off! You try to keep
to yourself on LJ so that random newbies won't add you to their

list. Don't be afraid to tell them to fuck the hell off, even if
they are your friends.

I took the LJ rating test by Atomic Blue and Cracker Face!

I just killed this funky looking big brown flying bug I've never seen in my life. Flying roaches, centipedes, and weird ass bugs. Lucky you live Hawaii.

Got the special postcards back today. They are cute. I think I have one extra one, so if you're a member of my site and want one, read the details on the New page and the first person to email me gets it. woo hoo.

Besides that and going back to Ala Moana today I didn't do too much else. Sushi and iced coffee for breakfast at Ala Moana, sushi and poi for lunch, pretzel for dinner. Yum. Oh and I saw "Sum of all Fears" cause I wanted to check out some of the new theaters here.

See ya at the members chat at 1pm Pacific tommorrow!

Busy day hanging out by myself. I went to Ala Moana and did my ritual of investigating the entire mall, all 4 or so floors and sides of it. Surprisingly Hot Topic there has plush big afro kens, which is what I always wanted, but they are super ugly and their wigs don't come off, so I guess I don't want one after all. I saw all the stores, bought myself some small presents at Sanrio, and then drove to Waikiki. I got the special postcards taken and saw my best friends the parrots. Yay, they are still alive and as cute as always, and their beaks and claws are just as dangerous as I remember:) Then I hung out at my favorite pool - the super pool at the Hilton, investigated some more pools, drove around Waikiki and saw that the death of Esprit has finally happened, and then went to Ward Centre to look at all the new stuffs and to get a frappuccino. Now I'm home, added a bunch of new pics to the members site and am contemplating seeing a dumb movie by myself at 10something tonight. Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow but the rest of my week is already planned...Oh guess I'll update the schedule right now and add a Thursday morning/afternoon chat.

The other strange thing - no matter how much sunscreen I use, no matter how high the spf, and no matter that I apply it 10 times a day, I am still getting super tan, and my face is turning into a tan freckly mess. Ugh. I hate sun damage but my skin just soaks up the rays like crazy. Bad bad wrinkles. I need to get myself a dermatologist or never leave the house.

Finally went to Starbucks today for the first time - White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccinos - yum - they don't have those yet in LA. And sushi sushi sushi for lunch. Yum. Then we went to Sandy's Beach and I wasn't brave enough today to go in the water - for those of you that don't know, it has strong undertow and I almost died getting out of the water last time, so now I just stick to the sand.

I threw out my stereo, finished cleaning my room, and am bored now. Need to call some people tomorrow and then I'm gonna try to get the postcards made for you guys if I can. I'll add the next set of member updates when I get home tomorrow nite.

I am here in Hawaii for my high school reunion and most of the festivities are over now. woo hoo. It was quite quite quite overwhelming seeing all of these people that I haven't seen in soooo long. I still keep in touch with the few people that I'm still friends with, so it was kind of strange to go back and see all these old acquaintances. Pretty much everyone looked sorta the same as they had before - almost no radical changes. People are still sorta conservative and super smart and of course successful. It was funny because I talked to a ton of people I never ever once talked to in high school. The cliques were in most ways gone and everyone just "mingled"...

Not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the week but I might take some pics and go to the beach and of course Ala Moana and who knows what else. I have been cleaning my room again, and I think I am going to have a funeral for my poor deceased stereo tomorrow. I am going to ask around to see if any of my two friends here know how to fix stereos, and otherwise I will have to say goodbye to him and his 15 years of excellent service. One day in the future I will just get a record player and transport my records to the mainland. Guess I am in no hurry.

It's been hot and sunny here and just as you'd picture Hawaii to look - tres lush and tres blue. There is a staircase that you can climb that goes from the ground to the top of the Koolau mountains, and at the top you get a view of the Windard side and the Honolulu side. I had no idea this existed, but it sounds very exciting and daunting.

I went on a shopping spree at Longs tonight (I realized finally that Longs in Hawaii is fab; Longs on the mainland sucks). I got this super duper fancy Japanese blue steel tiny tripod, a bunch of postcards for myself, mochi, and other stuffs. There are tons of Hawaiian knick knacks and foods and asian thingies and of course slippers.

My parents think I should stop paying rent in CA and buy a condo in Hawaii. They are thinking 50k, which would be a super cheap mortgage and way less than my rent, but I think my low standards aren't that low. You'd be lucky to get a shack for that price, not that I've really looked and I have no idea about these things - yet. We'll see. I still don't think I can live here anymore but where I want to live is still undetermined. I just know it has to have a pool and hot tub and an ocean view. So I may be 80 before this happens, or I will have to move to Mexico.
