TOKIO HOTEL'S MONSOON IS PLAYING ON KIIS FM RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND

Also: I got a new laptop [I haven't set it up yet, though] and some hissing cockroaches.

'Bane's favorite things to do in life is eat, scare the shit out of me, and make me spend money. Today, he managed to do the last two things on that list.
I went up to the barn like I always do, and chucked 'Bane out into the arena. Also like I always do. I clean his stall, feed the barn cat, all the fun stuff. Then, I hear my mom asking 'Bane what was wrong. So, I wander out of the barn to see what he's doing now.
I have no idea what happened, but he was eating grass under the arena rail, and did something. I assume he managed to snag a rock. I don't know. But he's got his head down, and looking like he's attempting to spit something out. He's rolling his tongue around in his mouth, and is just unhappy. He also won't close his mouth. So I haul him out of the arena, and try to see if I can see anything in his mouth. Obviously, I can't. I hose the inside of his mouth, since he's still doing the tongue thing. That doesn't help. I offer him some cookies, and he takes them. But, he, for some reason, won't chew with his back teeth. Instead, he's chewing up his cookies with his front teeth.
Now, we're sort of worried. We were pretty sure he wasn't choking, but had no idea what was wrong. He starts acting all lethargic and uninterested in everything, so we call the vet. 
The vet tech gets out here [since the vet had gone home already], and couldn't figure out what was wrong. She scoped out his mouth and didn't see anything.
I'm extremely proud of him, though, because he didn't need to be sedated at all to have his mouth scoped. Heather put on one of those dental speculums that crank their mouths open [this] and he was perfect. Haha, she says he definitely gets best patient of the year. I'm kind of amazed that he didn't fuss at all about it. Though, I guess he is a rather mellow horse. rofl.
Anyway, so she couldn't figure out why he was doing that. By the time she got there and did the exam, he was barely doing it. She did find a few ulcers on his cheek from some sharp teeth, so she thinks maybe that may have had something to do with it. Like, maybe he caught a tooth on his cheek or something. But she didn't know.
She ended up giving him a shot of banamine, and instructions to bute him for the next two days.

So, basically, we called a vet out after hours, on a Saturday.

Great. I don't even want to see the bill. Thanks a lot, 'Bane.

 

I am bawling at the Norway scene. Not as bad as in 2x13, but pretty close. 

Omg.


EDIT:  I'm crying at the rest of it, too. I am so lame.

 At the moment, I am watching Say, Marimo and it's got to be the saddest frigging thing I've ever seen. Omg, I have to keep pausing it because I'm crying so hard. I started watching it about a half-an-hour ago, and I'm only about halfway through :C

Watch it you guys. But be prepared to cry like crazy.

I'm watching The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Omg. I'd only seen it once, when it first came out. It's so amazing because I don't remember anything about it, so it's like watching it for the first time all over again :D I used to be the biggest dinosaur nerd. Omg. I loved JP and all their toys and whatnot.

It's like reliving my childhood all over again.

I just realized I never posted any pics of Mow Mow :D So here you go. There's only 2. She's super hard to get a good picture of :/

I'm really hungry right now. But, I don't want to get up and find anything to eat.

So I'm eating gumballs. THEY ARE NOT ALL THAT NOURISHING, TO BE HONEST

Jill (my boss): Oh, we're getting a new shipment of mice on Thursday.
Me: Okay. We totally needed some.
Jill: Can you sex them when you come in on Friday? You do it the best out of all of us here.
Me: ...sure. 

At least I'm good at something in life.

I GOT A CUCUMBER CCCCCCCCCCCC:

I AM SO EXCITED 

I WANT TO EAT IT NOW BUT I ALSO WANT TO SAVE IT FOREVER :C

On Saturday,  after work, we went up to the barn. There's a large gate encircling the property, and the gate is locked. So, my mom pulls up, I jump out and unlock the gate, open it, and walk down to 'Bane's stall. As I was passing Emmett's stall to get to 'Banes, I hear splashing. I look over to at Emmett's water can, and see that the water is being disturbed by something, but can't see what. I figure maybe a lizard had fallen in, and jogged over there.
There wasn't a lizard in there. At first, I had no idea what I was seeing. I just sort of stood there for a second, wondering what the hell this thing was in the water can. 
Finally, it clicked. It was a ground squirrel. Half drowned, and exhausted, it was trying to jump high enough to grab the edge. Unfortunately, the heat had caused a large amount of water to be evaporated and drunk. I reached in, grabbed the little fat creature around its middle, and hauled it out. It jumped from my hands onto the ground, and took off running. It finally took hold in an empty stall of the barn.

Poor little thing. From all the snorfling and choking, it had obviously inhaled quite a bit of water. I hope it lives. Right after, my mom put a shallow bowl of water out for the animals, so they didn't have to get it from the horses' cans.

But first, I had a driving lesson. Rofl. I love my instructor. He's hilarious. I kept making Mexican jokes because he's, like, half Mexican or something. Apparently, ichigonyannyan, and I have both have the same instructor. Cool.
At one point, though, I followed another car into a turn and went into the turn lane of the opposing traffic. Haha, LAME. 
And then, right after, Christina came and picked me up and we went to the Faire :D
Anyway, got a bunch of pictures from the joust. It was mucho fun. I love the Renn Faire. 

Rode 'Bane today. He was a buttface even before I got on. I had his bridle on and the reins were over his neck, where they would be if there was a rider. So, I let go of them to pull the stirrups down, and he instantly shoves his nose into the dirt. Somehow, at that exact moment, he steps forward, steps on one side of the rein, yanks his head up, and breaks the reins.

Ohmigod. They were my awesome rubber reins, too ://. So, I hauled his ass into the barn, grabbed a spare pair of braided reins and hooked those on. Rawr. Now I need new ones :/. I really liked these ones D:. 

So I hopped on, and he was fine until he heard a horse down the street. He got really excited, and wouldn't listen to anything. Jerk. He bucked a couple of times, and at one point, did a huge spook at a dog in the yard next door. Honestly, the scariest thing about a spook isn't the spook itself, it's the part where you get to the other side of the arena, and you have no idea whether the horse is going to go left, right, stop, or crash right into the railing. 
'Bane has done all four before. 
Mainly, we just worked on getting up off the forehand at the canter. I've given up at doing it well at the trot. He's built downhill, so it's really difficult for him. Also, he has the worst canter aids ever. And I don't have the room to work on them effectively. Basically, give him a massive squeeze and he canters. It's kind of efficient, but pretty annoying, especially when you're trying to do some leg yielding.
Anyway, it's a lot easier for him to do it at the canter, so we've been working on that. There's such a phenomenal difference. I can't believe I've never done this before. Though, that may have something to do with the fact that no trainer has ever taught me to do it. I pretty much just picked it up from the internet and seeing other people do it and describe it.
Fail.

It got too dark to ride Emmett, so I didn't.

I don't know if I want to go to school tomorrow :/ I'M STILL DECIDING. I want to, but I also want to skip Tuesday, and I don't want to go both days :/

Hmm... I need a soda... where -- ?
