Some funnies, some bad_riding. XD [Tuesday the 7th, 8:23 pm] bad_riding [thebeasty] [ mood | blah ] Okay, so I found you guys through Fugly, and just had to post some photos I took last year at a local horse show...These girls were competing in equitation classes...I was extremely disappointed in the level of riding. While I KNOW I'm not the greatest rider, and I KNOW that I don't sport perfect equitation on the flat OR over fences, I would like to think that there are trainers out there doing the job they are paid to do... Unfortunately, that doesn't seem the case with this particular set of riders (I think most of them were from the same barn?). The first girl isn't that terrible, but I just can't help but laugh every time I see her pictures. EVERY picture I took looks like this: ^  "OHNOEZ! I HAF 2 SHUT MY EYS, IZ SKRY!"  Otherwise, very cute pony, in person. XD Long backed, but not too bad looking and generally nice looking over fences. ^ Another "OHNOEZ!" moment. XD But I say ''wtf?'' at those heels. It looks like her acutal heel is in the ankle of the boot. o.O ^ Again with the heels? o.O Anyhow, I know that is not anywhere the WORST we've seen, but just some personal photography of "Ummm..." riding. [Wednesday the 8th, 6:39 am] horse_photos [jaanka] [ mood | tired ] He is mine!!! He passed his vet check - vet commented his feet need a good trim but otherwise he is fine and dandy. He is a Friesan Warmblood gelding 3 years old, 15.2 though I expect he may grow a bit more. Tally as a 2 week old foal ( Tally ) He leaves Victoria on the 17th and should hopefully get here to Perth on the 21st/22nd of this month. I used to show very regularly and had all the good garb (that I could afford), but have been out of the proverbial show-loop for a while. Basically I am wondering what colors are "in" these days for the hunter ring. also for equitation. I'm riding on vacation in Mexico in a pair of Adidas cross-trainers, borrowed chaps, borrowed helmet. I promise I'm not hitting him in the mouth, but I am definitely over his withers with a non-existent release. I am suspicious that my position over fences is still almost as atrocious, as my super-amazing trainer is constantly trying to correct it by getting my butt further back, closing my hip angle, and getting my hands more forward (bigger release). Now that I have shown you my crappy riding, I feel like I can return to busting on other people. There.
