Happy New Year... Love, Jacqueline

Hello... I'm still out here! [13 Dec 2006|05:21pm]

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so I thought I would touch base with all of you...

I have come sooooo close to winning the qualifying tournament, playing texas hold'em, but to no avail. The best I've done is coming in 2nd place twice. There are usually approx. 500 players, so 2nd place isn't that bad. Last year, they allowed 1700 or 1770 players in the tournaments.

I'm about to start working on another independent movie, but I'm not sure when filming will begin yet. This film is also based on a true story. Also, today, I have a photoshoot (with me "behind the lens"). If I'm allowed to use any of the photos online, I'll be sure to post them.

*Love & Hugs for everyone*!!!

I am in love... [16 Nov 2006|06:46pm]
...with Showtime's series, "Dexter"!!!

Dexter

I didn't realize that the series was based on a novel... I only thought, "The person that came up with this plot is a f'ing GENIUS!!!"

If you don't have the Showtime Channel on cable, you can watch the first two episodes at:
http://www.sho.com/site/dexter/ :}~

:::UPDATE::: I didn't give much info on what the show is about, but here is Dexter's character description:
He'll charm fellow officers with a doughnut, wile away a Sunday with his girlfriend Rita, or chop up a victim and package their body parts in plastic bags. Hiding beneath the mundane exterior and contrived façade of Dexter, a charming blood spatter expert for the Miami Police Department, is an obsession with meting his own twisted brand of justice: stalking and murdering the guilty.

Photo of Trinity [21 Oct 2006|03:20pm]

Here is a photo of "Trinity", the puppy that I've been watching for my neighbors while they're at work. She had surgery about a month ago and she's wearing a t-shirt to cover the area (on her left side) that is healing.

I guess I'm having email probs... [10 Oct 2006|11:20am]

I've been informed that emails sent to me have been returned to the sender as "spam" or "undeliverable". I have no idea why. I do not have anyone on my "block list" and I allow all spam (which is put into a separate folder) that I check to make sure that personal emails haven't been put in there by mistake. So, if you've emailed me and it's bounced back to you... please try emailing me again. Thanks!

One more photo for now... [31 Aug 2006|12:35am]

Here's another photo, taken by [info]rizendemon:

Touching base... [27 Aug 2006|03:55pm]

-- Jaden is doing much better (details were mentioned in friends-only filters, twice).

-- GothicMidnight.com will have its full content back up, shortly. I am stuck between deciding with uploading all of the content, as it was with my former hosting provider or just diving into creating a newer look. Either way, I need to get most of the directories back up because there are so many sites that link to certain pages or directories and I know I hate when I'm stuck with a broken link because someone has taken that page down or renamed it.

-- More photos, taken on Aug.18.2006 by Bobbie, will be posted soon, here in my LiveJournal and on GothicMidnight.com .

*Hugs for everyone*!

[info]rat_bastard made me do this!!! ;) [25 Aug 2006|12:30am]

And I look like none of these people at all. Sarah Michelle Geller is up there and Mick Mercer described me as "Buffy-ish" in "21st Century Goth", so maybe I just don't see it. Perhaps I should have used another photo of myself to get more accurate results. ;)

BrokenLizard.com may be gone, but... [24 Aug 2006|11:15pm]

... it's been nice, even after a year, to get back in touch with most of my buddies from that forum. Broken Lizard is the group that made "SuperTroopers", "Club Dread", "Dukes of Hazzard" (the movie) and the upcoming movie, "Beerfest". Jay, of Broken Lizard, has directed all of those movies, including the TV show "Arrested Development" on the Fox Channel.

I have missed by BL friends and now most of them are contacting me and I'm very pleased! Good friends, indeed!

Weeee!!!!!!!

I told you so... :P [21 Aug 2006|11:45am]

GothicMidnight.com is back up and so is my email for that domain. I am so worn out. I slapped up a temporary page, just so it wouldn't have that "generic under construction" page up.

I will be working on the site later today and I'll keep working on it until all of the content is back up, like when I had gothictomb. Speaking of gothictomb... gothic-tomb.com is the domain name that I acquired to point to gothicmidnight. Yes, I'm evil and I don't care about the hyphen... I can call it GothicTomb as much as I'd like to. If I had any energy at the moment, I'd bounce around like an evil, little kid. :}

Damn, I'm glad that this transfer is over with... one more day of waiting would have friggin' killed me!

Yeah, yeah... my site should be up by Monday.... [19 Aug 2006|11:35pm]

If you're sick of hearing about "when" gothicmidnight.com will be back online, you're not alone... I'm annoyed about the subject, also. There seemed to be a problem with the name servers still pointing to my former hosting provider and I only noticed that today. It's fixed, but will take approx. 36 hours to propagate, so most likely GothicMidnight.com will be online on Monday.

I've also promised a new look for my site and I've given myself a reasonable amount of time in order to do so... debuting October 1st. But, I wanted to go ahead and start working on the new look, so I thought about the entry page. I love the gothictomb/gothicmidnight entry page since I've used that since 1999, but I wanted to do something new with it. I also needed new, professional photographs of myself. I know a lot of amazing photographers, but there is one in my area that I always turn to, because she is talented and I trust her to take my photographs, just like people trust the same hair stylist to cut their hair. She's the one that has photographed me since last year... [info]rizendemon/Bobbie, of course.

My wardrobe malfunction yesterday: My skirt kept falling off of me constantly. Not all of the way down, but my hips wouldn't hold it in place and it would fall to the top of my thighs. Amusing, embarrassing, but memorable.

I have so many photos that Bobbie took that turned out so excellent that I'm overwhelmed... I can't decide which ones to use. Of course there are some that "show my age"... (I hate my neck wrinkles!), but I refuse to photoshop how I look... because my face becoming a bit chiseled with age doesn't really bother me at all. Sometimes I do add "effects" like the "diffuse glow". So it's not like I don't alter photos sometimes, but it's usually only to resize or change the data type from color to grayscale... and sometimes use a sepia or other color effect.

That's the end of over-explaining... here's a preview photo (only one for now):

GothicMidnight... [17 Aug 2006|10:25pm]

I have been trying to be patient about transferring my domain to another hosting company because of the "down time". My site is down and I do not have access yet to my gothicmidnight.com email addy. BUT, the site should be up and running in 24 hours or less, since the transfer has been confirmed.

At first, I will be uploading the original site that I've had since 2003, but I will be working offline on a new look. I am looking at October 1st as the day I will be debuting the new, revamped GothicMidnight.com, which will also have another domain name pointing to it. More info on that soon.

It's been a good day! I hope all of you have had good one, also!

One more thing, if you need to reach me by email, use the one listed on my userinfo page... Danke!

I discussed the JonBonet case on FOX NEWS! [17 Aug 2006|06:50am]

The question that "Fox & Friends", on FOX NEWS, dealt with, this morning: "Are you shocked about the [JonBonet] case?". I called immediately and I was the third person that spoke on the phone with them about the "shock" that I felt. In case you watched, I am the one introduced as "Jacqueline, from GA".

I was asked about Dr. Baden's statement and when I said, "I watch Dr. Baden's shows on HBO all of the time", I was reminded that Dr. Baden was a regular guest on FOX, so I said, "Oh, of course... FOX NEWS is my favorite news channel!". And I heard, "There you go, Jacqueline!"

I always thought that Patsy Ramsey was involved, so of course I was shocked. At the beginning of the investigation, in 1996, JonBonet's parents acted in such an odd way and Patsy's handwriting was not excluded as being the author of the ransom note. I feel really bad for coming to the conclusion that JonBonet's mother killed her and that her husband covered it up for her.

I feel horrible... if the truth shows that Karr actually killed JonBonet, then for ten years, I was extremely in the wrong for thinking that Patsy killed her daughter.

But again, the Ramseys acted "odd" for a mother and father that just had their daughter murdered.

Dr. Baden believes that Karr made a false confession, but how did Karr know the details of the crime that were not made available to the public?

What do you think about all of this? It took ten years to get this break in the case and I feel like crap for thinking the worst of Patsy Ramsey. She died in June and for ten years, she had been one of the main suspects that the police and the public focused on. I feel so bad for feeling as if she had murdered her own daughter.

Lalala... I was on FOX NEWS via telephone... that was very exciting!

If everyone hates the US, then... [25 Jul 2006|12:24am]

...why on earth do people ask for our help? Palestine is asking for our help, now. Yesterday morning, I saw an interview with "Ben Stein" and everything he said mirrored my thoughts. "Yes, let's ask for the US to help and then when things go wrong, the US will be blamed."

For a nanosecond, I felt bad about posting a "Disco Steve" image in my last entry, but I was sent a link to an animated short movie dubbed "MC Hawkings". So I'm not the only one with a sick sense of humour, obviously.

The man may be known as a genius, but I think he's totally bonkers. IMNSHO.

I thought it was a really smart move for C. Rice to visit Beirut, today and will be visiting Palestine next... seeming to skip Israel, until their meeting, next Wednesday, with "world leaders" about the crisis in the mideast.

This post might cause me to receive some different opinions, but I won't be debating. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
