Current Mood: sad
Today was a sad day. I went to a memorial service for a friend and co-worker of mine who died last week in a car crash. I have know her for quite awhile. We were suite mates in A School and we ended up on the same ship together. She always had a smile on her face. She was the sweetest thing and I am not just saying that. It will be strange not to see her around anymore. She will be missed.

Current Mood: contemplative
I was on duty on New Year's Eve, but I never do much of anything for New Year's. I am not much one for making resolutions, but I do have one this year. There has been something on my mind for awhile and I regret that it takes the new year to get me to do. My New Year's Resolution is to start going to church again. I never lost my faith and had been going to services on the ship, but those services I started having problems with. There is a WELS church in the area here in Virginia, but was just to lazy to go. Not anymore. Next Sunday I am going to make it out there. That's all for now.

I guess it's a surprise to hear from me now. I couldn't access livejournal from the ship. Right now I am at an internet cafe in Pusan, Korea. Most interesting thing that I found were coin operated bumper cars. I know that in a america they would all be taken because they aren't bolted down or locked up. There isn't even a fence. Get enough drunk guys they would be able to move them. The city itself isn't very interesting. The buildings are like what you see in america. I still have all day today and tomorrow to find something interesting. I have to find some post cards at least. My next stop is Hong Kong and I am already have plans for that port. I am going to a monastery and Disneyland. A friend of mine wants to go to this jade market so we have to stop by there too.

Well anyway that's all for now. I miss you all especially my husband. Oh how I long to be at home.

I looked outside today. Nothing but water all around us. I stood there just watching the waves. Peaceful. I wondered what my husband was doing. I miss him so. Then I watched the waves again. I pondered what they would look like if we hadn't been there. I wondered what they would look like if nothing had touched them at all, like in the very first days of creation.
