Hurricane Relief Fund
I have decided to give $1 to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund for each comment I recieve here.
This began here, and I thought it was an amazing idea.
I can only donate so much, so once I can't donate anymore I will close this post. I haven't really thought up a total yet.
If you want, please do this in your own livejournal. Help the people in need please. Also, you can join some of the following communities to help out as well.

Edit 3 days, 7 hours, and 30 minutes after original post: Thanks so so so much to everyone who commented so far. I am still running this until I say it's closed. I am getting money from lots of relatives to send to the Red Cross a long with items. So feel free to comment some more. 521 comments of support so far. For any of those wanting to spread this around livejournal please post these in your own journals, tell your friends, anything! I'm encouraged to give so much more. :) Will update later. Thanks again!

I donated a total of $569 to the American Red Cross. Please donate as much as you can, volunteer, and most importantly just educate yourself about the issue facing our country. Thanks again, and I encourage all of you to help!

Edit 6 days, 9 hours, and 12 minutes after original post:I might open this back up again because after watching this relief effort thing on MTV and VH1 my parents are going to be donating a lot more, which means I might possibly dig up some more money. I don't know yet though. This will still remain closed.

	that's awesome!! I've helped out as much as I can, and in one day my school raised over 1000 dollars. I know its not much in comparision to how much is needed, but it's a lot coming from my school. (Reply to this)

	Very good idea. I bet my school is going to do something. Last year they wanted students to bring at least 5 dollars for a total of $5,000... But we ended up raising $12,000 for the tsunami. (Reply to this)
