Power lunch

I had a perfectly lovely lunch with Ryan from  vegblog, his adorable wife and Eric from Satya Magazine today. On the menu - The BK veggie: why did PETA link to Burger King but Burger King not link to PETA? Why was Carrie from American Idol wearing a "Vegetarians do it better" t-shirt two weeks ago yet fishing in a montage this week? How cool is Poison's Rikki Rockett? Why is Drew Barrymore such a moron? Why do I seem to be in a fight with everyone? Feel free to add your input to these topics. We also ate some thai food. Pics? Sure!

In other news, Fizzle sits like a person!

Did you actually read Rikki's website? He is hilarious.

Drew made Donnie Darko as a veg and Fever Pitch after she started eating meat again. Coincidence? Meat made her boring.

As for Fizzle... that is pretty darn cute. Reminds me of my ol cat Doug, he used to sit like that and rest his paw on the armrest right next to me. I swear he was copying me.

glad the kitchen is still in business

I haven't read Rikki's website yet, but I will. I want him to be on the PPK. He has an interview in the next Satya apparantly. Interesting DD vs FP observation.

Omigod! You have GOT to get him on there! I will send you my left breast just to have him sign it.

Oh wait...I'm a guy, not an 80's rocker chick with big hair.

But still...that would be an AMAZING show (he could even help cook or something).

I've read other Rikki Rockett interviews. I'm no Poison fan but he seems like an okay guy. I like that he doesn't try to make excuses or be apologetic about his choices. Yay for that.

Drew still needs to grow up and do what is right, not what it cool.

And Fizzle is freakin' adorable. :-)

Answers and more...

I'm at work. So, um, sorry.
And with that...

1) A question for a question: Why promote the awareness of and activism against the very thing that keeps your lard-ass in business?

2)
A. Maybe she's one of those girls who likes to "go vegetarian" every month or two just to "shed some extra pounds." (Sadly, there really are webblogs out there dedicated to promoting veganism as an aid to promoting eating-disorders. Eh. )
B. Or, on a brighter note, perhaps the BACK of her shirt read: "...than me!"
C. Didn't you know? Fish aren't animals. They're scaley water plants, with gills. And lips.
And neither are chickens, according to some "vegetarians" that I've come across.

3)I'll take your word on the Rikki Rockett tip. Vince Neil, however, is a king wang. I had to serve him once when I was cocktail waitressing. I wasn't sure if he brought his date along, or a "Real Doll."

4)Ugh. Drew Barrymore. She's been getting so much praise for this "documentary" she put together on the importance of voting. All this coming from a woman who didn't bother to understand or participate in the voting process until way in to her 30s.
Also, I've never understood how you could re-vert from vegetarianism... It's not a diet, for goodness sakes. Or maybe I'm just bitter because I manage to PUT ON weight as a vegan (it's those goddamn Mocha Chocolate Chip Muffins!)

5) It's spring. The change in the weather does some strange, strange things to people. They get damn cranky. And crazy. And crazy in love and shiyat.

I went to Thai food today, too.
It was delicious.

Ok, that's all. :)

Vince Neil == gave me a panic attack when I accidently watched him get a makeover (read: 10K worth of plastci surgery) on VH1.
