Classique!
From the French text on the washing instructions tag of a computer bag manufactured by Tom Binh, a cool-ass company from Santa Cruz :

NOUS SOMMES DESOLES QUE
NOTRE PRESIDENT SOIT UN IDIOT.
NOIS N'AVONS PAS VOTE POUR LUI

(We're sorry our president is an idiot. We didn't vote for him.)

P.S. - Please buy their stuff!

That is so brilliantly subversive. In French, no less.

That's great! But now we need one of those little indecipherable symbols for it.

Sadly, I'm not sure of their grammar

My high school french grammar is a little off, but I believe that their conjugations of etre are a bit off ("soit" is the present subjunctive of "etre"(to be)). I believe that either one "est un idiot" (is an idiot), that one can "soit idiot" (act as an idiot does), or that one "est soit idiot, soit deconnecté de toutes réalités pour croire à son discours" (is either an idiot or too disconnected from reality to judge anything).

The grammar is perfect - surprisingly for an American label. The present subjunctive form "soit" is required because of the use of a verb indicating a wish/hope/want or opinion: "we regret that..." (nous sommes désolés que ...)

Soit can also be used as indicated - to show a choice between two possible things. Just one of those nice little things to confuse the Anglos.
