If mrs_five writes about hot asian abs, I guess I'll write about hot guys over 50 due to kaye21's prodding. I wasn't going to post but I watched Mamma Mia and found our all time favorite hottie, well hot again....
 Ang gwapo talaga ni Pierce!
Dennis Quaid is in my list!

Richard Gere, of course.

I know he's not yet 50, but for a 47 year old man, Andy Lau's kinda hot.

I find it weird being single all over again at this age. It seems like I'm older than most single guys but I'm younger than the newly singled men.
I was bemused when a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to date his younger brother who was into the "Cougar" scene. So at this age, I'm already considered as a COUGAR??? I thought you'd have to be separated or at least 40 years old to be considered a cougar. Then my friend jokingly asked i wanted to date a friend's son, that would be too MRS. Robinson of me! Then I jokingly tell another friend that his dad was kinda hot, and he offered me a date with his dad.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So now I'm stuck to dating dads and sons of friends.
sigh
edit: so I am a Cougar and a Chihuahua? I got that term from the link kaye21 game me below. |

It was so weird because I was just watching the Today Show (NBC) and they were interviewing Rue McClanahan and then I read that Estelle Getty just passed away.
I had a Golden Girls phase in China. I even posted a picture of George Clooney, who I caught doing a bit part in the show. Sophia was my favorite, because she's so sungit and feisty. I love it when she makes hirit about Blanche Devoraux's sex life.

Bye sungit lola! I hope you have a good time up there! |

I was sick-ish and restless yesterday. So I decided to crochet an old favorite. But decided to go for some bling.

So I beaded him some grills and outlined his sockets.
But then an idea struck me, WHAT IF?:

BLING SHADES! Kanye would be so proud but I named him after Pharrell. Sorry for the bad pictures, I took them with my phone cam last night. |

I was in a shoot last week (I think) and someone from the band offered us an energy drink. And at the risk of being the butt of jokes:
I tried it because I was so hungry and I suffered a really bad sugar crash.
My cousin was making cream puffs and she was stumbling on some of the worse baking mistakes. This is supposed to be the melted chocolate, which didn't really melt into the smooth, creamy consistency that we wanted. Instead it melted into this state of muddiness. So I made a face from the 1/8th teaspoon inside the 1/4 cup. The background are the cream puffs.

I dragged my favorite cousin in law to Japanese lunch last week and saw the cutest little fish.
It's a puffer fish, but the Japanese sushi guy wasn't at the counter so we didn't ask if he could actually cut and serve the little dude. HI FISHIE WISHIE!!! |

I'm not a fan of basketball shoes in general. But the Nike Dunk series is kinda cute. Well, here is the
HYPERDUNK Olympics Series I love it! I want one to display since it looks like a toy/plushie.

| » The Next Big Collaboration...wink wink |
Collaborations has been a big trend for the past 2 years. I was so excited when I read that Rei Kawakubo is collaborating with H&M and now Louis Vuitton.

Well, Kawakubo's not the only one collaborating with the Monogram Giant. I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that:

KANYE WEST is collaborating with LV Shoes! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

| » Mineshine vs. Kirin Kirin |
I have been a secret fan of milk tea ever since I came home from China.
But I really like the Kirin brand of Afternoon tea:
( I recently bought it at P75 in the Japanese Coop beside Sango).
But when I found the Mineshine brand from Taiwan, I was really happy with the taste, since it reminds me of China and the price isn't bad either.

Then I saw this in "Wish to See you again":
GIANT BOTTLE OF MINESHINE!!! I wish it was available here!
Did you know that Audrey Hepburn endorses Kirin's Afternoon tea brand(HEHEHEHE):

| » Lambo Love |
Vic Zhou apparently owns the Lamborghini Gallardo used in the his Taiwanese Dorama 这里发现爱/ Wish to See you agian.
Seen here:
Talk about the law of attraction because I saw an article in Hypebeast about the Versace X Lamborghini LP640. Its like the Coach X Lexus collaboration years ago when coach made the leather seats for some Lexus sedans.
Same goes for Versace, who upholstered the car with nappa leather and it comes with bags, belts, gloves and other accessories.
I am not really a fan of Lamborghini, I just like the story about how he got pissed off at Enzo Ferarri, when Enzo blew him off when he complained about his Ferarri 250's clutch problem, after which he decided he'll boycott Ferarri and make his own high end sports cars. My all time favorite Lamborghini is the Countach:
I know it's very DOM of me. But's an icon of the 80s!
But I would cringe if a date picks me up in one of these and the wings fly up. Because I cringed when Vic Zhou picked up Michelle Chen in his Lambo, I was worried it would be a DOM car with the "scissor doors". I breathed a sigh of relief when it opened normally.

| » Weird make out scene in Wish to See you Again. |
The Vic Zhou + Michelle Chen makeout scene was a little difficult for me to watch. It feels awkward and weirdly violent and not an ounce of chemistry. I felt like a kid trying to hide under my blanket or turning my attention to the curtain or wallpaper in the scene. It reminded me of the times in the 80s when rape/sex scenes were so popular in movies that my mom would tell me to close my eyes whenever there was a sex/rape scene.
Although, I guess the director was going for passion, Vic instead translated it as "violent". Michelle just kept her eyes SHUT tight and never once tried to come up for air.
I feel traumatized. There should be a "Wish to See You Again" support group.

| » 這裡發現愛..台湾小吃 This is where the love for Taiwan Snacks Began |
So i have started watching: 這裡發現愛 Wish to see you again. I have been waiting for the presentation of the Taiwanese snacks, I've heard so much about. They showed around 5 different snacks, these are some of the screen caps:
What is this? Looks good and appetizing!

豆花 or Taho. They have different flavors and topppings, something like Quickly.

And of course:
This one has so much ice cream, milk, this cream thing you can see from the container by the top left. In china we'd have this with peanuts and adzuki beans or sweat black monggo mash. YUMMY!!!!
After that I wanted to go to Taiwan for the snacks. But the show is still trying to sell me Taipei 101.

Watching another drama called : 這裡發現愛 or Wish to See you Again.

If I was given a chance to rename the title it would be: "Vic Zhou, I thought after all these years, your acting would improve." At least his fashion sense keeps me amused. Michelle Chen, who is the love interest, doesn't do any better, her acting is unsure and slow plus she's not pretty enough to distract me. The editing is horrible, the editor keeps giving the scenes pregnant pauses to the point of a miscarriage(really bad metaphor, i know but the editing is worse!). If the acting of the two leads won't save the day, then maybe the backdrop could. But so far in Episode 2, I haven't seen anything of Taiwan worth going to. They're still trying to sell Taipei 101 to me, which is funny since I just watched the Man Made Marvels episode in Discovery Channel yesterday where they talked about the engineering feat that is Taipei 101, but I digress...
So far, no one is really cute or charming to keep me entertained. The show teases me with a green Lamborghini Gallardo and Vic Zhou writing his novel on a black Macbook while wearing this series of shirts by:
 Comme des Garçons Play! Cute.
And I have yet to see Ken Zhu. A friend of mine, who worked with him in a local film said that he's not that good looking anymore. But he's really nice and quiet, stuck with the boys on the set. She showed me a picture taken with him....uhm....his nose grew, his face isn't that clear anymore and he really gained weight from the last time I "saw" him, which was Meteor Garden. Come on, Ken! 加油 on the diet and exercise! 努力继续!

| » Nooka Kanye |
I am not a fan of Kanye West songs. I never really gave him a chance. But I think he's a visionary when it comes to creating show concepts like the half nekkid chicks dancing on the stage with him during the G-shock anniversary?
Anyway, due to the succesful Glow in the Dark tour featuring Kanye West, N*E*R*D, Lupe Fiasco, and Rhianna, watch brand Nooka re did their Zub watched and made it:
 GLOW IN THE DARK!!!

I want one! But only 15 wathces were made for Kanye and the rest of the Glow in the Dark crew. It reminds me of things from the 80s when plastic was something so fresh and innovative.

I also love running, although it's been ruining my knees and my left foot. The other thing I love about running is the running shoes. Not a lot of people know, I AM a Nike fan. I love anything made by that brand. The materials and the design is just so impeccable.
Let me introduce you to:
 Lunaracers

Apparently, it's "incredibly lightweight"!!! I'm also sure it won't reach the Philippines. UGH.

| » 轉角*遇到愛 Corner with Love |
I am turning on my manang mode and started watching Chinese Dramas. Currently, I am watching Corner with Love which I like to re-title: "The Corner where love met" BUT whatever.

It's kind of cute since Barbie Hsu is a really adorable. I just have problems with her very prominent Taiwanese accent and she's suppose to be raised in Shanghai since she was a kid. What a coincidence when I found out that her character studied in the American School in Shanghai, because I was just reminiscing to my mom about my American School classmates in Shanghai the other day. The locations were so predictable! They had obligatory Shanghai tourist attraction sights for the "date" places. Of course, shots of The Bund and the Pearl TV Tower and while they were having noodles the Shanghai River cruise passed by. But asides from that I cannot tell where they shot in Shanghai. Although Barbie's Shanghai house looked like this residential place FAR AWAY from downtown Shanghai.
Of course when she went to Taipei, the Taipei 101 was a featured. It was even mentioned in the dialogue! Talagang trying to promote the sites!
Anyway, this is my 2nd Chinese drama (the other was Meteor Garden) and my 2nd Barbie Hsu drama and these are some things I noticed: 1. Why is she always getting left behind by her parents? 2. Is it that easy to get permit to shoot in the Taipei airport? Because they did it in Meteor Garden and they did it again here. 3. There's always a rich person who will fall in love with a poor person in these dramas, huh? So 80s Pinoy plot. 4. Why is Harlen Yu always extra?
Actually, I really like watching this drama the only bane of my existence while viewing this is this:

Carlyn Chen. She's sooooooooooooooo annoying. I don't know if that was the instruction of the director to be an annoyingly stupid but nice friend with an abrasively loud voice or she's really like that. And I have to say...SHE CAN'T ACT TO SAVE HER LIFE!! She's cute but I really don't know. If you can't top the acting of Rainie Yang, I'm sorry. Kasi boses pa lang talo na. I mean, call me manang I don't care. But if you don't have an "inside" voice, we cannot be friends. People nowadays don't know the difference between "outside" voice and "inside" voice. INSIDE VOICE PEOPLE!!!!

This is the Sam Concepcion Video I styled for. I had the freaking outfit sent over from China. Apparently, only satin pajamas are readily available here.
Sam is so cute, I can't believe he's 15 already. I remember when Jiki used to do her nickelodeon shows and he was just a little boy.
And good job to the guys who did the post production. I thought you couldn't pull it off. They had like a week to do this and I think they did a pretty good job. I mean it's no Miyazaki floating island (of Laputa) but it'll do.

I was hoping he'd proved me wrong. But I was WRONG. I HATE YOU for proving ME RIGHT. You're a LOSER. You don't deserve her and you knew that. I thought you'd be ashamed of yourself. You and your low-life whores. I told myself, I would never be able to trust you because you're A DOG. I buried all my questions and complaints about you because I thought you were going to make her happy.
Quote of the day: Person 1: Do you really want to get married to ____ or you just WANT to get married? Person 2: I'm getting old na kasi and I want to have kids.
