| | Anyone know a good source online for sterling silver wire? I have some with a copper core I dug out of my supply box just now, but I'm looking for actual silver. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| A little while ago it sounded like it did here on the 4th. Like lots of big fireworks were being set off somewhere to the west or north of us, I think.
Now, I just heard what sounded like every fire truck in the city.
I think the bastards blew up part of the Armory district... | comments: Leave a comment |
| Considering I had a migraine for a good portion of it, and still managed to have a nice time, I'd say it was a good convention.
Too hot in here, and my headache came back, so that's all I have to say for now. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| | Okay... These ice cream trucks are driving me nuts with the X-MAS music. One just drove by, chiming "You are my Sunshine" which I thought wonderfully creepy. Then the damned thing launches into "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". Someone needs to tell these fools that X-mas music in July is even more annoying than x-mas music in December. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| I just made an apple pie with 6 of the many apples we still have left from our CSA bag 2 weeks ago. It's cooling in the kitchen and is making me sooo hungry.
For those of you who might be interested, this weeks bag contained: Snap peas, a bunch of Bok Choi, a huge bunch of basil, a loaf of French bread, a large (16 oz?) jar of apple sauce, 3 or 4 tomatos, a bag of soldier beans (we had the choice of 5 or 6 heirloom varieties of dried beans), and a pint of very ripe strawberries. I think the strawberries must have been added last minute, as they weren't on the list of things we were supposed to be getting and I ended up having to discard about 1/4 of them because they were so far gone. Made a delicious strawberry sauce and had it with those weird little sponge cake dessert thingies, though.
We're signing up for the Autumn cycle, as there were still a couple of spots left when I asked about it, and I'm really enjoying planning meals around what we get in the bag each week. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| Loki Eliot has made one of the most wonderful things I've yet to come across in Second Life, as part of the huge 5th birthday celebration that's been going on for the last 2 weeks. Today is the last day to see his story dome. The clip below is just a tiny peek at how awesome it is:
This song, by Sigur Ros, is part of the soundtrack for the story dome, and no doubt the video was a bit of an inspiration:

| I just wanted to say thanks to those who purchased items from my wishlist for me for my birthday. They made me very happy, indeed :)
I did notice, however, that the Angel DVD set is no longer on my list... and it never showed up in my mail box. So... if you bought it for me, you might want to check with Amazon :/ | comments: Leave a comment |

| In just 15 days, I will have a birthday. It's too hot to think, so I shamelessly post my wishlist button thingy for you to get me more cluttery stuff, if you so desire. And, yes, I updated my address :)

I have a mens XL, which is a nice, soft American Apparel T. There are also womens sizes (AA) and unisex sizes (Hanes Beefy T, I believe). | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| Today I sent off a check to Farm Fresh RI for our summer season CSA membership. It's something I've been interested in doing for a while, but living in Atlanta, "local" often means 50 - 100 miles away. RI is so tiny that most of the farms are well within a 20 mile radius, and the pick-up location is close enough that I can walk or ride the bus. Starting June 12 we get a mystery box of seasonal produce once a week.
I'll probably regret not signing up for the fall season, once this starts, but it's a new way of meal planning, so I want to see how this goes. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| Yesterday was yet another bath day for dinosaurs. ( This time a bit more colorful. )
It's a shame I didn't get a photo when Hubero decided to stand on the toilet with his paws resting on the tub edge to have a peek at what was going on. He was quite curious about the whole process. | comments: 7 comments or Leave a comment |
