This is a filtered post directed at my friends who role play and whom I know love role play.
I have an idea for a world setting, which it can be a multiplayer universe. I pretty much describe it as a big island with many different areas to it depending on characters you would want to play, like there is a dark side to it, if you wich to play a vampire or creatures of the night, there is the city, which I imagine to be like Burenai, Taiwan + Tokyo, Japan + Shanghai, China + New York City, NY + Los Angeles, CA.
There will a country area with farms and such.
I'm thinking about having 2 main schools, both elevator, one public and one private, and they will always be in competion with each other in many things [ie: sports, festivals.. etc] (For those that want to rp teenage - college characters)
I'm so planning on having there be business district for those those that want to be older characters. [ ie: tall bulidings, cafe's, resturants, malls, shopping centers etc]
I'm also thinking of having entertainers too, anyone who wants to join with friends and be a boy group, girl group, famous model, famous actor or actress in a drama's, so be it.
It can be a Multi-fandom rp so you can be originals if you wish, or you can use characters from manga, anime or asian music, anything you want.
If I create something like this, who would be interested? who would join? who would want to help me mod? I mean I would love to this it would be a lot of fun, I just want to know who would be interested. If you are, contact me.

I'm new to this community and I figured I'd introduce myself.
I started reading Hot Gimmick about a year ago when I found the first volume sitting in a pile of friend's library books. I got up to volume 8 before life got busy and I lost track of it.
I recently started reading again, and I've gotten up to volume 10 (I can't find volumes 11 and 12 online! D=)
I guess I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the story and the irrationality of the characters really strikes me as true to life.
I'm a RyoukiXHatsumi fan, in case you're wondering. =)

Ah... To cut to the chase, I want someone to spoil the ending for me. I've read all the entries on the first page, and it's just an overwhelming load of information, because it's all riddled with scenes I've yet to read, so I'd like to request a straight out rehash of what exactly does happen in the end.
It's not to say that I don't take HG seriously, but aaah, it frustrates me so much, not because of Ryouki's sporadic indignant behavior, but because straight off the bat in chapter one... Hatsumi did something sexual (?) with Ryouki? I just can't find that believable. Ryouki is definitely not a stock characteristic for a 17 year old since he straight out asked for sex, but to be so corrupted about it just frustrates me to no end.
Personally, I wish she ended up with Shinogu (but not in her current naive state), but from what I've read, that's only the case in the alternative ending (which is not satisfying!). So by the first chapter, I didn't want to read it anymore, but then I suddenly appeared on Chapter 24, when I finally stopped.
So... I just want to know who she ends up with, and basically why. Did she finally develop solid feelings? She definitely isn't conned into it? Etc.
Please don't hate me >.<

Hello all.
I'm new here. :D
(I hope I'm doing this right, and sorry if not. ^^;)
I've read online the manga, up until chap.47, and I just can not wait any more,
I really want to know how it has ended.
A friend of mine told me there are no happy endings in those kinds of manga, but I really hope for
a good ending here (a good ending for me is one when Hatsumi and Ryuki together and happy).
(Oh.and sorry for the english. ^^;)

Hello I'm new to the Hot Gimmick lj, not new to Hot Gimmick. Thought I'd make a post introducing myself and giving a bit of my opinion on the manga ending. Though I enjoyed Hot Gimmick immensely I was disappointed with the ending. I felt Hatsumi should not have chosen any of her suitors.

Hey guys! So, Hot Gimmick has been over for a while, and that's sad. But I've been re-reading the series this past week (a friend recently borrowed them all and I just got them back) and I was thinking...it might be fun to do a Hot Gimmick swap?
It's been done in the Paradise Kiss community ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) parakiss at least twice, and it's always been fun. Basically what happens is: everyone picks a character, gets assigned to someone who picked a different character, and then they mail each other small packages of little things that the character would use/want.
For example, last year in the Paradise Kiss swap, I got paired up with the lovely Meredith _secretpassion_ . She picked Arashi and I picked Miwako. I sent her some rock type things Arashi would like (a note book, some hair gel, safety pins, hair dye...etc) and she sent me all sorts of cutesy Miwako things (nail polish, lipgloss, an ADORABLE totebag I still use...etc).
Anddd I just remembered I had pictures of what she sent me on facebook!
There were also money levels for people who could afford to buy more/less, that way everyone could participate!
Anyway, it's lots and lots of fun. Anybody interested?

Hey everybody! Long time HG fan here, first time poster, utterly disappointed in the lack of HG fanfic. I think it comes with the genre, seeing how HG did drama and romance so brilliantly, it never left you lacking.
Well, until the ending. Because even brilliant drama and romance doesn't always satisfy every fan, especially if its mostly hoarded on another Ship. And...cue the ravaging of fanfic-related comms, but like I said before: utterly disparaging. So, if you want something done (done right is another matter), you just have to do it yourself, right? XD

I was just listening to a song by "She wants revenge" called Tear You Apart [ link to youtube.com video ]
The song is fairly dark and somewhat graphic. PG-13ish.
In a really really dysfunctional way it made me think of Ryoki's feelings toward Hatsumi during the first stages of their relationship. Confused, frustrated, a touch angry, demanding, and fairly needy.

I was wondering if there are any other songs that aren't "love sunshine happiness" that any one of you found that made you think of the series.

So a new member to the Hot Gimmick community and I figured I'd make a quick post. I saw earlier that someone had asked about followup titles and underneath in the replies someone had given them a website address for a scanlation site. (Lol I bet it would help if I could remember names right? SRRY) Anyway, just was wondering what some other good scanlation (translation:English please) sites would be?
I went out and bought the Hot Gimmick S ending...I liked it and was happy that Shinogu got his happy ending as well but the ending of that made me sad for him at the same time.*Spoiler here* Merely because Hatsumi says she'll, "grow" to reciprocate the feelings behind the ring...I guess I can understand growing to love a person but it still made me feel as if Shinogu was getting the cruddy end. Probably just me though. Overall I liked it though (and I agree Shinogu is a hottie, lol, for a drawing).
