Art is all around us everyday. On the radio, in advertisements, on the covers of our favorite books. Everywhere we turn we are bombarded by art in many, many forms; be it stock photography, music lyrics, the books you read, even the clothing you wear (or wish you could afford to wear).

For this challenge you are to create a banner featuring one of your favorite artists. Designer, sculpture, musician, painter, poet, author the list goes on and on. This is a very open theme as art is literally all around us and I don't feel I have the power to overrule what you feel is art, and I wouldn't want to. There's many different ways you can accomplish this challenge...You can use a photo of your favorite band at a concert....or even just their lyrics*. You can use your favorite piece of art displayed in your local museum, or a few words from your favorite poet*. You can even use someone like Joss Wheadon and use images from the tv shows he's created or Peter Jackson if you're in love with the LotR movies. As long as your header features the artist's creation of your choice somehow you're golden.

*If you choose to feature an artist's words please use a far amount of the lyrics, poem, etc. Minimum of two lines please.

Because I'm not requiring that you plaster the artist's name on your header, please tell me the artist you're featuring when you submit your entry. It will be listed when voting goes up. I've added this to the form so hopefully there won't be any problems with this.

We all had a favourite childhood toy. If you were like me, you probably had several. Now it is their time to shine. Was it a one-eyed, patched teddy who is hidden in your wardrobe, or a china doll sitting on a shelf somewhere? Truck, clown, beard, doll alike, you simply need to show off your favourite childhood toy in a banner. Stock photography is allowed and if you wish to, you can use a photo of your actual toy. :D

Your header must feature the color red in some way. It can be of any subject you want; fandom, stock, text only, whatever. Good Luck and have fun with it.

Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags.

Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). Red is widely used to indicate danger (high voltage signs, traffic lights). This color is also commonly associated with energy, so you can use it when promoting energy drinks, games, cars, items related to sports and high physical activity.

Light red represents joy, sexuality, passion, sensitivity, and love.
Pink signifies romance, love, and friendship. It denotes feminine qualities and passiveness.
Dark red is associated with vigor, willpower, rage, anger, leadership, courage, longing, malice, and wrath.
Brown suggests stability and denotes masculine qualities.
Reddish-brown is associated with harvest and fall.
