Thursday I met up with Matt to catch up on the pagansoc news (I didn't go on wednesday, obviously). Had dinner at the Belgian Monk, and cherry & peach beer, very tasty. The Ten Bells is a great pub in the week- quiet, big, and dingy.
Friday I didn't go to the proclaimers' church night at uea, as I'd said I would. We got dellacasa pizza instead :)

Saturday I started the day with a long sunnyside bath (it makes the water into a shimmering, swirly gold, with bubbles). Traffic was bad, so we just went straight down to Southend to stay with Mark's parents at their new house. Very nice area, one road away from the beach. They had friends over, we watched Merlin and Strictly Come Dancing, and went for a night-time walk on the beach.
Sunday we slept in late, and then had a shopping trip at curry's. Went to a nice sea-facing restaurant for lunch, then me and Mark went to the aquarium because his Mum had a bogof ticket :) I forgot my camera, but the light is always rubbish in there anyway. The rays were very friendly, and it was a nice way to pass a couple of hours, looking at all the otherworldly things. Sharks! There is a bit that you can stand under the tank, and the roof was flat, there was five sharks on it, just sleeping! Got a good view of their lickle teeth and snorgable bellies. :)
Then I made his Mum a coffee&walnut cake, because today is her birthday. I've not made a cake in a very long time, so I was a bit worried... but I followed the instructions, and it didn't matter that the first batch of "buttercream" was actually like runny icing (we mark drizzled it on the top!), and we all had some and got WIRED. It was lovely. and they don't mind my cheese-obsession (cheese boards!!!!), and they think that I am very lovely, and invited me for christmas and new year. I WIN A NEW FAMILY! :D
Also, his Mum is very sweet, and she'd bought this turkey/ostrich toy, and he is very sweet (he is called Oswald, or Osborn - she hadn't decided). This is the noise he makes when he likes you:

Today I had B&Js Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream for breakfast, and tea made with squirty cream (milk substitute!, ran out two days ago...) All because I'm out of breakfast muffins and anything else vaguely breakfasty. Was goooood.

Tonight I'm going to pagan soc's first meet of the year. I'm very sceptical, really - last year the society was a complete shambles, and the only time I got anything from it was when Matt ran the clairaudio/voyance, and we could have done that at home. Our "celebration" of Beltane (or it might have been Imbolc?), was ten of us going out into the woods, really nice spot. They eventually got a fire going, and then got off their faces on alcopops&weed. We sung two folk songs after a couple of hours. I gave up and went home.
Apparently this year it is run by a pagan mag's layout designer, which is hopeful. Apparently there will be actual talks, and rituals.

Going to have a bath before I go. I need to try out "oceany flutter" on my feet. (Ocean Salt + Lemony Flutter. yum)
I'm quite excited about the christmas range this year, so many things!

Been playing a lot of WoW since I moved here. We're now lvl 36. triple xp is awesome. my pants look like i've wet myself (see 3rd pic). i'm making a mint through skinning&herbalism. I gots me a white kitten, and a wolpertinger! ( WoW pics! )

I am still on some kind of awesome gig-high from last night. Went to see Kill Hannah (+ Serpico, + Exit Ten, + My Passion) with i_novander at the waterfront. I have bruises up my arms from being thrown into the mosh pit//out of it and against a pillar - I didn't fall, only because any time any of the 'tardy cool guys grabbed me to throw me, I'd dig my nails into their arm and refused to let go til I was safe. ^_^  I wore my corset :)  good tiems.
So, yeah, I should get out more. I'm pretty much done with my hiding away bit, I can't wait to see Anberlin in November.
I've bought some KH, ET & MP now, and listening to it. GO LISTEN TO EET.

There's no food in the damn house. Tomorrow: food shop & I'll make my tomato&rosemary soup. *makes nom-nom noises*

Sorting out my music now, almost finished listing my CDs, and then I'm going to start [-*makes hand motions to remember the word....*-] merging my music, so it's all on my external hdd, and all in iTunes - currently, I have 5gb of music in iTunes. Some of that will be copies of the 130gb, most is new though. Will have to copy the folders a few at a time too, otherwise space will become an issue... Then I'm going to have all my music plugged into the server, so that I can always get it. *nod nod*
It's so sweet, finding old CDs that people made you, some of them with messages, all with memories. :)

Yes, I am completely avoiding the outside world.
I've only been out of pjs for a bit yesterday to go to the beach since Friday night. It feels so good.

Mark's got me back playing WoW. New account as a present, so we can get triple XP when we play together on our new characters, which means !shock!horror! I might actually hit a level cap this century... of course, I'm playing a N.Elf balance druid, cos I'm all about the healing, y'know. My first pair of in-game pants trousers looked like I had a serious camel-toe  *shudder*.

So, despite having had some serious lows this long weekend, I am actually quite chirpy currently.

Staying in Norwich this week [forever]. Makes more sense anyway.
