Man, I'm so bored. It's 2am on a Friday night. At least I actually went out tonight.

Home sweet home. You know, what should I consider home? MI or NC? Really, MI is my "home", and will always be, but now I really should be calling NC home.

Ah well.

I'm back in NC.

I went fishing and caught an Emily! I think she was a good catch.

( I think we have a Salmon that needs some fellow fish to help him/her upstream. )

I wish I could've gotten this one's real s/n, sounds like they could use someone to talk to.

So, I continued doing research today on the "Salmon" fiasco, and ended up on Wikipedia. I found this article:

Apparently it was instigated by my updating of LJ. The bot scans for new LJ (Or DeviantArt, or whatever) posts, and checks if the user has an AIM account. If it does, it pulls that screen name and matches them up with, I believe, someone else who recently updated. I got paired up with a DeviantArt user who is actually pretty cool.

It can only do this if you post publicly AND your screen name is public in your profile.

Many people were annoyed by this (And offended, on some instances), whereas I think this is hilarious AND brilliant.

It is, in fact, the ultimate RANDOM friend finder, if you so choose it to be. :D

And, on another note, this whole "Salmon" fiasco is fucking hilarious.

Basically, what happens is you or another individual gets an IM from someone with a screenname that is [Descriptive]Salmon, IE EssentialSalmon, FlavorfulSalmon, etc.

What's happening is that there is a program out there that has either your s/n, their s/n, or both. What it does is send an IM from your screenname, masked as a "Salmon" character, to a random person. Then, when that person gets it, the response is then forwarded back to you, but THAT person is masked as a different "Salmon" character. So, you are in fact talking to a real person, BUT, you're not talking to their real s/n.

I highly recommend talking to the person, and figuring out who they are, just for the fact that it's hilarious. It's the coolest way ever to meet a new friend. It's literally an anonymous, random friend-finder, if you want it to be. I just don't know HOW it does it...

At least things are funny again.

For those of you close to me, you know the details. But some of you don't, so here is the rundown.

My stepmom is about to die.

Her body is rejection her lungs, which she received from the transplant over a year and a half ago. There's nothing we can do. She doesn't want life support.

To all my friends, thank you so much for all your support, and I love you all. I'm sure I'll need some distraction from this insanity, so I'll probably be trying to hang out with some of you.

I don't know what else to say. I'm at a loss.

I'm moving to North Carolina sometime between June and August.

That is all I have to say.

Cloverfield was awesome.

I don't want to go to work.

That's pretty much it.

I'm going mad.

Apparently there's a chance I'll be moving to North Carolina with my job in the next year.

I'm debating it heavily.

So, I don't know if all of you know, but I got a new job.

I'm still in training, but it seems pretty nice. Relaxed environment, good hours, awesome benefits, all the good stuff. My shift will be Mon/Tues and Thurs/Fri 3pm-midnight, then 10am-7pm Saturday. There'll probably be opportunities for overtime, but I'm not certain on that yet.

Oh, yeah, and it's $15/hour.

I love checking in on people and finding out there is some sweet vengeance in the world for me.

4pm and I've barely done anything but showered.

I feel a little accomplished.
