Ok, who up there thought that was funny? *shakes fist at Powers That Be* I'm sure it was quite amusing, watching me languish, from your nice little perches in the clouds, or whatnot. Just know, when I identify the culprit, he is so getting a complaint filed at his temple.
To all of you thinking that I had finally gone over the deep end, let me just say that I spent the last night locked in the library, with no outside contact at all. That ought to put things into perspective. On the plus side, I got all my research done, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of fiction in the children's section.
Also, I had good company - and I don't mean the books or an imaginary friend. At least, I don't think Seigaku's Oishi-san is imaginary. Or if he is, he forgot to tell me this little fact.

Guess who's got history research to do. Got it? Good.
Now guess who procrastinated until the last second.
And now, just for a change of pace, let's try and guess where all the sources on the post-WWII reconstruction era in all of Hyoutei's library have gone.
That one, not even I can answer. And that is why I shall now be heading off to the public library, which will probably be closed by the time I get there. Oh. Joy.
(Disclaimer: I really do like history. And the teacher. Not so much the text, but I have yet to meet a history textbook that wasn't written by a bunch of constipated mannatees. I just work well under pressure - like now, for instance, and I should probably get out of here, if I actually want to get anything done.
I'm going. Really, I am.

Ohtori was asleep when I came in. I'm not sure of all the details, but he didn't look completely dead, so that's a good thing.
So instead of my intended plans for the visit, I got to meet other people. Not that I'm complaining, mind. It's not every day that you get to look really stupid in front of Rikkai's captain. (Atobe would have me drawn and quartered, if he knew I was consorting with the enemy. I only think I'm kidding, thought I could be wrong.)
And then, there was Ohtori's roommate. I swear, the two are distant relations. (Or maybe they just use the same brand of hair dye. That's also a legitimate possibility.) At any rate, a fun chat was had by all, and I must say that, whatever it was in Saeki's drip must've been the good stuff! |

1. If someone is going to visit you, they may well do so at one in the morning.
2. Sleep is a precious comodity. You will never get enough, and you can't purchase extra.
3. No matter who you are, you will become Akutagawa Jirou's pillow, at one point or another. You will learn to like it, because Jirou's a nice person. Any of your limbs that fall asleep in the process will learn to hate you.
4. The lounge was not intended as a place to have sex, and it should not be used as such.
5. Sometimes you just don't want to know.

Anyone want to assist me in taking over the world?
That was my plan all along, you see. The way I figured, if I succeeded in saving humanity from alien conquest, it would bow down to my might, acknowledging me as its sole ruler. I would have been a benevolent dictator, too, magnanimous and wise beyond my years.
There was just one flaw in my great plan. It's awfully hard for people to praise my amazing feats if they have no bloody clue of what it was that I did. My publicity machine has been rather shoddy, I'm afraid. (That, and the whole Magic Girl thing was dead embarassing, so I didn't want it spread aroung too much.
So there goes that idea. Guess I'll have to go about global takeover the old way. Hm... would it be more humane to hold the world's coffee supply hostage, or simply unleash the powers of the Tentacle Duck (hey, I've used it for good twice already, so what if I use it for evil a measely one time?)?
