Bleach/Xxxholic
I had my chem mid-term today, and was writing the 3rd one on scrap paper during the test. I am now an offical bleacholic
Two men come to the shop, one tall, handsome, fatherly behind square-rimmed glasses, trailing a white-haired man with his eyes shut.
Maru and Moru take one look and run for Yuuko; the tube fox hisses behind his ear.
The man smiles at Yuuko in her pure white majesty, says willing to pay the price, Witch-sama, Yuuko says you can’t afford my price, captain-sama, the creepy smiling albino says Oh, so mean.
Then Yuuko smiles a smile to rival both of theirs and says out.
They disappear from sight before the gate.
Watanuki does not ask; Yuuko does not tell him.

Watanuki and Doumeki go to soul society
1/?
Bloody hell.
Bloody fucking hell.
Heaven, actually, corrects the flower-robed man leaning over him with two swords at his waist and a sake bottle in his hand. We call it Soul Society.
Yuuko with her damn errands; she sends him practically everywhere else, why not the afterlife?
Watanuki hears a groan. Doumeki sits up a few feet away from him with a stern-looking young woman leaning over him, but his gaze immediately jumps to Watanuki as if Watanuki could not survive a few minutes in a new world without him.
Heaven is so not what it’s cracked up to be.
2/?
Doumeki rather likes soul society.
The archaic style doesn’t bother him, Watanuki has nowhere else to go but near him, and there are no spirits here that make Watanuki cringe.
They share a room- Watanuki rolls, sometimes all the way to the other side of the room, and the sleeplessness is very much worth it.
Best of all is the look on the crazy-clown-captain’s face when he blows apart half his mad-scientist-esqe laboratory and liberated Watanuki from being his latest test subject (his powers are elevated here); though the mutter of another bloody archer puzzles him momentarily.
Watanuki bandages up his large scrapes from some over-enthusiastic underlings, and the other boy is dangerously close to his face and watching him with that worried look on his face. Watanuki will not leave his side for a week, at least, and not be angry at all.
Doumeki likes soul society very much.
End?
Watanuki and Ichigo meet
He’s walking down a street; a little girl runs through a wall sobbing in fear. She trips- and a gigantic monster with a skull mask that he’s always run like hell from before lunges over the wall and barely misses her.
Watanuki doesn’t think- only acts, snatching up the 6-year-old and running with her hands clutched in his uniform jacket. He chances a look behind and the clawed hand is reaching and thankyouthankyouthankyou there’s an orange-haired man in black robes with an over-sized butcher knife and a pissed-off scowl who’s just sliced the hand off in a spray of blood.
He turns the corner- for a second their eyes meet- and the man (boy, Watanuki thinks, probably my age) gives a sharp nod and sets about destroying the monster while Watanuki brings the crying spirit to relative safety.
He sets her down in a park near the rain-child’s flowers. When he passes by there the next morning she is gone and there is an unfamiliar tang about the benches.
Yuuko says shinigami, soul burial, and hollow.
Watanuki does not reply.
