6:48 pm - Daylight!
I'm not normal much of a fan of daylight, but it's quite nice that I can now walk both to and home from work entirely in the light. Now if we could just do something about the ice on the footpaths in the morning.....

11:10 pm - Warcraft News: Pathaleon the Calculator, heroically dead
Well, tho this won't mean much to a lot of peeps, i feel happy to say that my little Paladin has just tanked heroic mechanar, and killed off the final boss with a group of guildies and a friendly random priest. Yay! I go to sleep now.

I've built half a wardrobe!

It's going to end up looking like this, but currently looks like this.

Tips for building stuff from ikea:

The instructions are generally in box number one.
The initial diagram of a happy little builder person building ikea furniture with manual screwdrivers lie. Save yourself some pain, and get the job done twice as fast with a cordless electrical.

Let's see if i can get it finished by this time tomorrow. For the moment, I'm done..

current mood: Satisfied

Andrew has introduced me to this game. It's surprisingly addictive, and quite fun.

Scroregroup Name: "justonemorego" - feel free to add your scores to it.

Just don't blame me if it eats your life.

12:23 pm - MSSQL tables without primary keys
A little bit of TSQL to dig out all those naughty tables in your DB that don't have primary keys set. For those of you that use mssql - probably very few.

2:56 pm - My Boss is going South
It's all for charity, mate - Simon Biltcliffe, my MD at WebmartUK is climbing the Vinson Massif - the highest peak in Antarctica. He's doing this in aid of cbit - the Child Brain Injury Trust - in his words, "Help some child gain from my pain".

He'll be climbing to 16,000feet at -50 degrees C (that's -58 F). He'll be doing this after walking 15 miles in the same conditions, pulling a 56kg sled and carrying a 25kg backpack.

If (when, to be honest, if I know Simon) he does it, he'll be the first ever Yorkshireman to summit the peak, and one of less that 400 people who've ever done it at all.

He's trying to raise £20,000 from his attempt (this all goes to the charity, the expenses of actually doing the trip are already covered) - but every penny counts - so if you feel you can afford to contribute please visit the Justgiving.com donations page

2:45 pm - World of Warcraft version 2 mod and respec round-up
ItemRack is up to date, for quick changes of armour and weapons etc.
FruityLoots replacement for telo's quickloot - good if you want to see what you loot before you loot it, and still not have to move the mouse to the top left
CTMod and CTRA are unsurprisingly already up-to-date, but do seem to have rather less features than i remember. Invaluable if only for the the mailbox mods.
Bongos - which i've found to be an excellent replacement for the multi-action bars that were available in the old CTMod

My new paladin spec is currently
17/34/0 - giving protection a go - fed up of being a healadin.

1:44 am
Back from Bilbao.

I'm tired after long day, flight, drive.

It was a good an relaxing break, apart from being robbed on the first day (i'm fine). The money i'd left in the hotel room was sufficient for the remainder of the trip, and probably prevented any annoying over-spending on unecessary stuff (or even necessary, such as a replacement wallet..).

Very impressed to find that my replacement card from Egg had already popped through the door by the time I got back.

I'll do photo stuff at some point in the week, though i actually didn't take the camera out after the first day.

3:19 pm - The saga continues, or 'My Vendor is a Total Bastard'
Just had a text from the vendor to say he's won't move out until the evening of the 31st - and unbelievably is in fact going to work on the day he's supposed to be moving!

I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be gone by 12 noon, so this is, to be honest, something of an annoyance - especially since my new fridge freezer and bed are being delivered in the afternoon - when, presumably, there'll be no-one there, unless I can get him to change his mind between now and then.

He just seems to be determined to make this whole process as difficult for me as possible. Hopefully he'll see the error of his ways and i'll be in on time - if not, it's going to be a hard slog into the night to get everything moved in.

current mood: pissed off
