Curious about Bethany?
I began this journal in the winter of 2001 with a variety of intentions. I'd hoped to be able to put a bit of myself "out there" and at the same time meet some wonderful people. I have done fairly well on the first account and very well on the latter. My journey here on this site has for the most part been very pleasant and worthwhile. However, certain events caused me to turn this journal to "Friends Only" mode in May of 2003. Since then, I have posted some random unimportant entries and kept anything personal behind the little grey lock. If you are interested in reading more about me and my life, leave a comment here and tell me a bit about yourself or something. I will then look into your journal and user info. If your journal is also "Friends Only", please add me so I can check out your journal before adding you back. This isn't a popularity contest, by any means. I simply like to know what sort of people I am sharing myself with. That all said and done, I can't wait to make even more great friends here. :)

Don't pay too much attention to the date shown on this entry, it was actually created on May 29,2003. I am setting the date way ahead so this will be the top entry (..like I said, I will make random nonsense entries from time to time probably) no matter when people check out my journal. Anyway, carry on..

I have Sars? Y/N?
I caught the blasted "norovirus" this weekend at some point and spent yesterday in living hell. Today, I feel a bit better and I haven't thrown up or anything, but I feel like my body was beaten. I'm so sore!

I need a job. I have a couple things in mind. I am planning on trying to go to school this Fall. My therapist is insane. My shrink weighs me so I hate her. Perhaps the Sars helped me drop a couple of pounds so the scale won't be as mean to me on Friday. We'll see.

I am in love with my camera. I am trying to resize some of my favorite pictures and put them up on Flickr. Add me there as a contact if you have it, por favor.

This is Bethany's husband Tony. I have taken over her journal to tell you that she is DESPERATE for a jazzy remix of Nancy Sinatra's version of Bang Bang (I Shot You Down) that was used in the Victoria's Secret Runway show on CBS this evening. In my research I found that the original song was the opening to the Kill Bill: Vol. 1 soundtrack, but I cannot find a clip long enough to let me know if that version has the jazzy beat to it that so intoxicated my baby.

If any of you fine Bethany fans/friends can satiate my bride, I would be in your debt.

If you want to help in some tiny way and can't afford it....
Oxygen will donate $1 for every person who signs up in this campaign. The purpose specifically is helping the evacuated families that have been relocated to Texas due to the disaster and they need help in any way they can get it. Oxygen is doing a wonderful thing with this campaign. Filling the form out only takes a second and it only asks for your name and your zipcode. I don't give a crap if you make up an email address. But to be able to help out with a click of your mouse and 4 text boxes is wonderful. I honestly can't imagine why anyone WOULDN'T want to do it.

Link for the campaign to help with the crap going on down South.

I got the call from Lyzi!!!!!!!!!!!!
LYZI HAD HER BABY THIS MORNING @ 2:07 AM!!!!!!!

His name is Grant Alexander R***!

He is 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 inches. Quite a bit of blackish dark hair and light blue eyes! (In terms of size he is right in the middle of Adrian and Eden's birth measurements.)

Things are going very, very well so far (other than some unpleasant nausea on Lyzi's part) and he is a pretty relaxed baby and looks a whole lot like Edie!

Lyzi will probably post the link to his photo on the baby website in her own journal unless she asks me to do so before then.  I will leave the birth story and any details of that sort to her to post also because that is her personal business and all. ;) If you have any messages you would like me to pass along to her today, post them here and I will relay them when we speak again. :)

Shameless pimping out of my Ebay items for sale.
Working on selling some of my stuff on Ebay so I can afford some stuff I want/need. My auction pages look pretty good considering I'd never put one together before. Easier than I thought other than the issue with not being able to use my images via photobucket. I think Ebay just wanted to steal 30 cents from me. Grr.

Wanna see the stuff I am selling?

Take a look and if you need/want:
  • NY and Co. Pink "B" Bag

  • Steve Madden Black Bag

  • I will be putting up later today this stuff:
  • white wire candle chest thing

  • size 10.5 or 11 sneakers for little boys

  • size 2.5 shoes (brown oxford type) for girls

  • I have pictures uploaded of the shoes so if you are interested they are behind this cut. Let me know if you wanna buy them from me directly before I list them. I am cool with that.

    Buh-Buh-Buh-Benny and the Jets....
May it be known that I am not a fan of oatmeal. On a few varied occasions in my life I have consumed a bit of the glop, but I didn't inhale enjoy it. Yesterday morning when I tried to throw out the contents in a bowl of oatmeal (I made it for Tony and we forgot it on our way out the door, so I threw it out after I was back home.), my decision to not eat the crap was reaffirmed. It freaking came out of the bowl in one giant gloppy, apples and cinnamon flavored, bowl shaped blob. Dis-freaking-gusting. You can only imagine what it must be doing inside the stomachs of people who eat it. *twitch* My experience with this morning's bowl of oatmeal was just as disheartening. It flowed over the edge of the bowl and glooped all over the microwave glass turntable. Mmm. Crusty.

My back is all creaky from doing much of the dishes. Good Lord, we have a lot of kitchen crap. A cup of strawberry ice cream is a nice reward for my efforts to make the house look less Sanford and Son-like, no? :)

There's this hokey teeny bopper show on in the living room that I remember watching when it was a real live series and not a crappy re-run in the middle of the day. California Dreams. When I was younger, I had the biggest crush on the actor who plays Jake. Apparently Jay Anthony Franke (the actor), stopped acting after the series and began a career as a programmer. This in itself is not a bad thing, seeing as how I obviously like geeks. But, seeing what 8 years and 8 years worth of Guinness pints does to a man is a scary, scary thing. I cannot wait till my 10 year High School reunion. :)
