30th January 2007

10:52am: Hmm. I could start doing this again.

11th December 2005

12:21am: No food update. It's bad news. I'm sorry, I have no self control. I have to try to do better. :[

5th December 2005

8:58pm: 4:30 p.m.:

10 ham salad tortilla roll-ups(these are 10 3/4 inch or so sections of a rolled up burrito shell),
Tea with Splenda.

2 a.m.:

Junk food time!
About 6 oz. Spicier Nacho Doritos,
6 oz. (for certain, 'cause it was the whole package) Chocolate Brownie flavor glazed walnuts,
1 ham salad tortilla roll-up,
More tea with Splenda.

4th December 2005

8:54pm: Around 5:30 p.m.:

1 Snackwells blueberry cereal bar,
1 large vanilla Frappucino drink.

11:45 p.m.:

1 chipotle chicken burrito from Taco Bell,
1 huge (43 oz?) pepsi,
1 tiny, non-peppermint-flavored candy cane.

7:45 a.m.:

1 Big Grab of Sun Chips,
1 beef and cheese stick pack (like Slimjim and a stick of cheese?),
continued to work on that soda from Sunday night.

9 a.m. or so:

1 ginger snap.

And good night. :]

3rd December 2005

7:47pm: See, I must have eaten something at home on Saturday night, Dec. 3. Was this the night I had...

7 p.m.:

1 to 2 servings very salty stir-fry chicken,
1 serving of slow-cooked potatoes with some peas and carrots left over from yesterday,
Tea with Splenda. (I think this is right, but if it looks like repeated info, it's wrong.)

12 M:

10 Dominos BBQ wings with 2 containers of bleu cheese sauce,
1 entire order (a rack? they are kind of like ribs.) of Cinnastix with 1 container of icing,
2 to 3 cups of Sprite.

8 a.m. or so:

The rest of the Gensoy chips (maybe just 1 serving?),
A bunch of baked Tostitos (2 servings? Don't know. Kind of out of control.),
2 to 4 servings of diet cheese sauce,
1 cup of Hershey's recipe hot cocoa (thanks, Mom),
1 cup of regular cold soy milk with chocolate syrup,
5 to 8 peanut m&m's.

Now, on Saturday night, I did 46 minutes of intervals on the bike, plus just a little more work on abs, butt and chest. Here's what my bike workout was like, as far as levels:

Minutes/Level

0-4 on 1
4-8 on 2
8-12 on 3
12-16 on 2
16-20 on 4
20-24 on 2
24-28 on 4
28-30 on 5
30-32 on 2
32-34 on 4
34-36 on 5
36-38 on 3
38-40 on 6
40-42 on 4
42-46 on 1

Wish I could tell you miles-per-hour and distance travelled, but my actual counter doesn't work, so I just use a stopwatch. Thanks for reading, "my cheeky wee monkeys." *Craig Ferguson's monkey sound effects*

2nd December 2005

7:41pm: 7 p.m.:

1 to 2 servings of roast beef,
1 medium serving of potatoes(what does medium mean? I don't know. I am a zombie),
1 small to medium serving of carrots,
Probably 1 T total of olive oil spread,
Continued to work on my big coke from Thursday (I think I had 10 oz. left from 32 bought at BK).

12 M:

1 package of 4 Snackwells cream sandwich cookies,
5 oz. package of Tom's coconut slice candy,
32 oz. bottle of 2% milk,
12 oz. can of Dr. Pepper.

8 a.m.:

At least 2 servings of Gensoy cheddar soy crisps,
Between 6 and 10 cubes of "smoked" cheddar cheese (I didn't taste the smoke),
About 4 dates,
Water.

1st December 2005

7:17pm: Whoa...looks like I had gotten some dates wrong and skipped other dates all together or something, but I think I have it fixed now. I'm sure it comes from the fact that I'm working 7 days a week. It's a slow form of suicide, but I don't mind it that much, interestingly enough.

5:15 p.m.:

BK Tendergrill sandwich (threw away maybe 1/4 of the bread),
Drank about 22 oz. of coke with no ice throughout the evening.

1:30 a.m.:

Ham & cheese omelet from Waffle House,
Large (16 oz.?) orange juice,
About 1 1/2 slices wheat toast with margarine (I guess) and just a little grape jelly,
3/4 to 1 cup of grits with about 1 T of margarine.

On the way home, I RESISTED THE URGE TO STOP AND BUY ICE CREAM!!!

30th November 2005

12:10am: Got up at about 4:30 p.m....

7 p.m.:

1 cup of homemade tomato-based soup with veggies, enriched noodles and corned beef,
2 cups of soy milk mixed with water and chocolate syrup hell yeah.

Drank not nearly enough water after that, including during my workout.

11:45 p.m.:

3 servings of baked Tostitos, which I guess I'm rationalizing about like I did with the soy crisps: 330 calories, only 15 from fat...
Now, with those, I had probably 2 to 3 servings (harder to measure this without bringing measuring spoons to work, which I should probably just go ahead and do)of EatSmart cheese sauce. So that was probably about 6 tablespoons (it went really fast, as you can imagine), i.e. 135 calories,
105 of them from fat,
Had water with all that.

4:45 a.m.:

1 of those half-cup individual servings of Dole peach parfait.

1 cup of homemade soup,
2 to 3 servings of french onion Sun Chips,
1 cup of total cereal, 1 cup of soy milk, Splenda,
drank 2 cups of soy milk and 1 cup of OJ.

Oh, my exercise!

44(!) minutes of intervals on the bike,
side leg lifts,
side leg extensions,
weighted shoulder exercises, the name of which I don't know,
crunches,
modified plank position,
downward-facing dog with alternating raised legs,
the (lol)"hundred."
I think that's all I did.

29th November 2005

2:53am: Woke up around 2 p.m. after not sleeping all that well...

3:50 p.m.:

1 big bite of grapefruit (I think it was canned stuff),
1/2 can of "hoppin' john," which contains black-eyed peas, onions, jalapeno peppers, but mostly tomatoes,
a big bowl of Total cereal (I didn't measure, but I think it was right around my usual cup serving) with soy milk (also, probably the usual cup), Splenda and walnuts (maybe 1/4 cup? maybe less),
32 oz. homemade lemonade with Splenda.

Around 7 p.m.:

1 big-ass fajita with steak, peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheddar cheese and salsa,
1/2 to 3/4 cup of canned great northern beans,
2 big glasses of brewed tea with Splenda,
Another 1/2 cup or so of the steak, peppers and onions with a tablespoon of sour cream.

Around 1 a.m.:

One 6 oz. package of Fresh Express garden salad,
1/3 cup or so of bacon bits,
probably also about 1/3 cup of honey mustard dressing,
1 cup tea with Splenda.

7:45 a.m.:

A whole bag of Gensoy bbq soy crisps. That would be 3 servings, about 380 calories, only 70 from fat. It was a lot of snack, but I figured I could do worse and I was craving something,
More tea with Splenda.

Worked out today too...

Walked the Ravine Gardens with my nephew, plus,
calf work,
leg work,
butt work,
ab work,
chest work,
just a little back work,
just a little triceps,
just a little biceps.
I didn't have time to get on the bike tonight. :(

28th November 2005

8:59pm: Woke up at 3:30 p.m.

4:30 p.m.:

Had a banana on the way to work,
A little water.
I should be drinking more water, I know.

11:05 p.m.:

My mommy made me lunch again. Would you believe I'm not even her favorite?
1 boneless bbq spare rib,
probably a cup of rice-a-roni (sp?),
1/2 cup of stirfry (same stuff as the other night, but I've realized there are pieces of carrot in it too),
1 modest slice of lemon pound cake,
1 bottle (20 oz?) of Arizona green tea with honey and ginseng.

I'm going to try not to eat anything else tonight. Snacking on the way home is a problem for me, as you've seen. Thanks again for reading. :)

P.S.--I did it, I did it! No commute snacks! Just a little water.

27th November 2005

11:47pm: Got up at 4 p.m., but had to bathe and get on the road immediately...

8:45 p.m.:

1 turkey breast Subway wrap with cheese, mayo, mustard and black olives,
32 oz. of Minute Maid Lite lemonade(continued to work on it later).

1 a.m.?

1 Otis Spunkmeyer blueberry muffin.

2:45 a.m.:

1 serving of 'cube steak,' I don't know if that's what it's really called,
Maybe a little more than 1 serving of mashed potatoes,
A really small serving of veggies (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflour, onions),
Maybe 1/3 cup of cheese sauce.
My Mommy packed this lunch for me.

8:30 a.m.:

1 cup of Total cereal with 1/2 cup of soy milk and 3/4 cup of 1% milk, and 1/3 cup of walnuts,
About 2 servings of french onion Sun Chips,
1 cup of 1% milk to drink.

26th November 2005

12:24am: Woke up at 8 p.m....

8:45 p.m.:

2 - 3 little, tiny ham roll-up things (they're little bits of ham, onions, peppers and mayo rolled up in burrito wraps and sliced up),
A big bite of cheese sauce mom made for broccoli.
I ate all that while packing lunch for work.

11:15 p.m.:

Here's that lunch at work...
About a cup of turkey casserole my brother made 'cause he rocks (he really does; he'll be happy to tell you himself),
About 1/2 cup of broccoli with maybe 1/2 cup (maybe less) of homemade cheese sauce,
5 more ham roll-ups,
1/2 to 3/4 cups canned cranberry sauce,
A 12 oz. can of Pepsi.

1 a.m.:

1/2 cup of white raspberry truffle ice cream from my own archnemesis Bruster's.

(somewhere in the wee hours--just remembered this on Monday night)
1 piece of store-bought carrot cake about 1x2x3 inches. Jeane left this and other goodies in the fridge for us, her co-workers. Nice lady!

7:45 a.m.:

1 McDonalds Steak, Egg and Cheese Bagel,
1 small coke with no ice.

25th November 2005

11:43pm: Woke up around 3 in the afternoon...

3:30 p.m.

1 bean burrito from Taco Bell,
1 order of pintos and cheese from Taco Bell,
1 12 oz. can of Dr. Thunder (generic Dr. Pepper).

Then I walked the Ravine Gardens, 'cause I'm the greatest!
And then! And then! I'm just so great that I did all this:

Ab work, chest work, biceps work, back work, butt work, leg work(!my brother brought his weight bench to Mom's!), a little calf work (my brother has no leg press machine, in spite of my advice that he should get one. I would do toe presses on it if he had one.), and 38 minutes on the bike.

Around 4 a.m.:

About 1 serving of french onion Sun Chips in between fraught discussions with Tommy.

Around 5 a.m.:

A chicken and broccoli dinner from one of those little take-out cartons you get at the grocery store,
also, been working on a 32 oz. iced coffee with cream and Splenda all night.

Around 7 a.m.:

2 cups of apple juice,
followed by some water.

24th November 2005

11:13pm: So, it was Thanksgiving.

3:15 p.m.:

Two plates at a buffet including:

1 to 2 servings of steak, cooked relatively done,
1 to 2 servings of gumbo veggies,
1 to 2 servings of green bean casserole,
1 yeast roll with honey spread,
Maybe 1 serving of turkey, a little dark a little light,
About 1 serving of great northern beans with margarine,
Maybe 1/2 serving of yellow corn with margarine,
1 serving of mashed potatoes with brown gravy.
2 or 3 glasses of sweet tea.

11 p.m. or so:

An Indian tv dinner consisting of
small to medium portion of spinach with cheese (and cinnamon or nutmeg, from what I could I tell) and
beans, and
a fairly large portion of rice.
Really not bad and it felt like a reasonable meal, although I know carbs are bad now. I drank water with it.

1:45 a.m.:

Then I was evil.
1 pint of vanilla caramel fudge Ben and Jerry's,
Somewhat less than half of a 13 1/2 bag of french onion flavor Sun Chips,
maybe some more water?

23rd November 2005

4:50am: 7:30 p.m.:

About 3/4 cup of chicken and rice. Omg, tasty!
Small individual serving size tin of diced pears in extra light syrup (should be juice/water, I know, but there were no individual ones like that.)

9 p.m.:

A BK Veggie Whopper,
Medium fry,
water,
2 soft peppermints.

12:00 m:

24 oz. coffee with cream and Splenda,
1 Reese's pie from BK.

7:30 a.m.:

2 *enormous* white chocolate macadamia nut cookies from a truck stop on the way home. washed down with water.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody. :)

22nd November 2005

1:40am: Around 6:30 p.m.:

1 bowl of chili (1 to 2 cups, maybe?),
about 2 cups of Earl Gray tea sweetened with sugar,
1 yellow cupcake with a big cloud of icing on top,
1 cup of soymilk.

12:15 a.m.:

4 slices of Dominos steak fanatic pizza (:[),
just the toppings off a fifth piece of pizza (:/),
2 cups of tea with Splenda,
1 liter of water,
1 big slice of lemon pound cake my incredible mommy made.

I shouldn't have ordered pizza. I had brought salad, but maybe should have brought some turkey to put in it so it would appeal to me more?

5 a.m.:

1 liter of Sprite.

8:30 a.m.:

2 big bowls of greens (I finally found out, they're mustard greens with Goya ham seasoning),
bunch o' sunchips, maybe the equivalent of a 3 and some odd oz. bag?,
tea with Splenda,
4 rectangles of the chocolate/hazelnut bar,
water.

Here's the good news: My aerobic workout has been going pretty well, although I don't always have time to do other exercises as much as I'd like. Tonight it was 36 minutes of interval training on my bike with some periods of pretty high intensity, including a lot of air-punching. I also managed to get in some crunches, those silly pilates moves (found out they're called the Hundred on account of I'm *supposed* to be holding the position for a hundred breaths--oh well, they still work, imho), side leg-lifts, doggie kick-backs, and bench presses.

Thanks for reading. I look forward to the day you read that I'm doing a lot better.

21st November 2005

1:32am: 5:00 p.m.:

9 piece BK chicken fries,
small order of french fries,
water.

7 p.m. or so:

1 caramel frappucino drink.

9 p.m or so:

1 coffee frappucino drink.

2:30 a.m.:

1 ginormous grilled chicken salad from Huddle House plus about 1/2 cup of honey mustard dressing (didn't strike me as dressing so much as dipping sauce, like you'd get with chick nuggets),
About 16 oz. Pepsi with ice.

20th November 2005

4:30am: 4:30 p.m.:

Woke up and had about a cup of greens (still don't know what kind),
1 smallish to medium hamburger pattie,
2 strips of cornbread about 1x1x3 inches each--not the sweet kind, more like hoe-cake (sp?),
Washed down with water.

About 11:15 p.m.:

1 individual packet of string cheese,

About 12 midnight:

A 10 3/4 oz. can of Tomato Campbell's Soup at Hand,
Another string cheese,
3 1/4 oz. bag of French Onion Sun Chips,
'Bout 32 oz. of tea with Splenda.

5 a.m.:

1 individual serving (1/2 cup?) of Dole peach parfait,
1/2 cup of tea with Splenda.

Around 7:30 a.m.:

1 BK ham and cheese croisandwich plus lettuce, tomato and mayo,
more tea with Splenda,
1/3 - 1/2 cup BBQ sunflower seeds.

8 a.m. or so:

Another couple of oz. (I figure) of sunchips, this time Harvest Cheddar flavor,
2 cups of soymilk,
water,
2 rectangles of that big chocolate hazelnut bar.

Answer me this, is it true that tea has almost no calories if it has no caloried sweetener in it? Thanks for reading.

19th November 2005

5:38am: 7:30 p.m.:

Got out of bed and immediately had 1 to 1 1/2 servings yummy bbq chicken filet,
big serving (maybe a cup?)of either turnip or collard greens with Goya ham seasoning,
maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cup of green lima beans,
2-3 teaspoons of olive oil spread,
about 2 cups of tea with splenda.

9:00 p.m.:

A 32 oz. iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts--lots of cream, sweetened with Splenda.

4 a.m.:

About a cup and a half of spaghetti with meat sauce,
1 large apple fritter warmed over from Dunkin Donuts,
1 cup of tea with splenda.

7:30 a.m.:

1 McD's steak, egg and cheese biscuit with customary sauteed onions,
1 pint of 2% milk 'cause the BP has no skim.

8:30 a.m. or so:

2 of Mom's homemade oatmeal-raisin-walnut cookies,
1 cup of vanilla soymilk,
1 (or 2? I really don't remember.) cups of regular soymilk.

Thanks for reading. If it didn't pop up on your most recent friends' list (I don't know if they do when I edit them so late), check back to Friday to see the evil I did on my way home from work Saturday morning. Just in the interest of full disclosure. <3 (carrot)

18th November 2005

12:50am: 1 p.m.:

2 homemade oatmeal raisin cookies (oh damn, they were the bomb!),
1 cup soymilk.

3 p.m.:

Went to Sonny's--here's what I had...
1 plate of salad (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, black olives, sunflower seeds, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing),
smoked turkey (probably amounted to between 2 and 3 official *servings*, dipped in sweet bbq sauce,
big glass of tea sweetened with Splenda,
around 10 corn nuggets dipped in ranch dressing.

7:30 p.m.:

3 or 4 of those heavenly friggin' cookies,
(2? maybe only 1?) cups of soy milk.

11:45 p.m.:

Half! (that's 3 big slices) of a thin crust spinach alfredo chicken tomato pizza, dipped in garlic sauce and packet seasoning,
2 cups of Sprite.

4 a.m or so?

One 12 oz. coke,
about 2 swallows of apple juice to see if it was fermented.

8 a.m.:

If you love me, please scold me: about 7 servings of vanilla soy milk--that's almost an entire half gallon. I was just craving the hell out of it. Yes, it made my stomach gassy and miserable for the rest of the day.

17th November 2005

8:03pm: Urrrrgggh. Thursdays are hard lately. *yawn*

About 7:06 p.m.:

1 triangular half of a pimento cheese sandwich,
About 1/3 of a 20 oz. root beer.

11:15 p.m. or so:

2nd half of sandwich,
Another 1/3 or so of the root beer.

12:20 a.m.:

A 10 3/4 oz. can of creamy chicken Soup at Hand.

2 a.m.:

About 3 oz. of a milk chocolate bar with hazelnuts,
Finished off the root beer.

2:30 a.m.:

2 biscuits with gravy and sausage AND,
AND 1 waffle with strawberry topping and whipped cream,
Washed down with wholesome water.
3:06am: Hey! Did you miss me? Well, I still don't have a pc, but I now work seven days a week, so I'm near a pc each and every night. It kicks ass, I know. So, later today ('cause it's 3 in the morning now) I'll start updating again. Thanks for your patience. :)

25th October 2005

11:55pm: Friends. I do not have the strength for this journal right now. My estranged bf still has my pc and my psyche feels very jittery, so I'm going to neglect this journal for a couple of days, at least. Please know that I'll still be trying to eat well, or at least better than comes naturally for me. I'll be working out too. Thanks for your patience.

24th October 2005

12:20am: Around 2 p.m.:

1 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios (you saw that coming),
3/4 cup of soy milk,
1/8 cup of pecans.

Around 9 p.m.:

1 can of Campbell's Creamy Tomato 'Soup in Hand,'
1.5 oz. of Colby/Monterey Jack cheese cubes (both cheeses combined in each cube, if anyone is keeping track :D),
About 2 cups of lemon flavored sparkling water, which tastes like Alka Seltzer, but not sweet at all.
An oz. and a half of Ghirardelli 60% cocoa chocolate.

(Will edit if I eat more tonight)

23rd October 2005

11:55pm: Backdatin' it again 'cause my pc isn't living with me...
Around 6 p.m.:

Finally got around to eating what mom cooked me...
A cup or so of broccoli with 1/4 inch slice of velveeta cheese,
1/2 pack of chicken ramen noodles with almost no broth.

Around 11:30 p.m.:

One blackberry with a few grains of Splenda on it.

Around midnight that night:

A bottle of water,
About a cup and a half of chili which was mostly beans,
Half a packet of soup crackers,
A brownie fudge sundae hell yeah,
Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese fries, all of this from Steak 'n Shake.

Also, I got on the scale at Publix last night. It weighed me at 238 lbs, which is about 6 lbs lighter than last time I weighed. I'll try to keep better track of this in the future. Thanks for reading. :)
