Oh shit, oh fuck fuck FUCK! I thought there were more sirens going off around here than usual, but I thought there'd been a pile-up or something. Then I saw this, and I thought it was a joke, but then I went to CNN and.. its real. This fucking shit is real.
I have to get hold of my Mom. I don't know if she knows, she doesn't have internet at work and I don't know if they keep a T.V. on or not. Have to get some stuff together too, we can't stay here. Too flimsy, too close to town. Shit shit shit, half our clothes are dirty. At least we have canned food, Daddy Charles brought some by earlier when-
Oh shit. Daddy Charles is out in this mess.
ETA 3.50: Got hold of Daddy Charles. He made it home safe. Lee's safe too, and they haven't seen any of those
things in Morton's. Aunt Lou and Uncle Charles are safe too, Daddy Charles and Lee are heading over there now. No one's been able to get hold of Aunt Cindy, Aunt Cheryl, or Uncle Cary. Mom's not picking up her phone either.
ETA 4.20: Heard from Uncle Cary. He was visiting Aunt Angie and Drew, and they're all fine. Still no word from Aunt Cindy or Cheryl, but D.C. got hold of Uncle Alan. He was home with the boys today, and he's got them holed up in some bunker-He won't say where. He's been trying to get hold of Cheryl at work, but she's not answering her cell and the hospital lines are busy.
Still no word from Mom either.ETA 4.30: Mom's home.
ETA 7.35: Oh hell. Mom and I are at Aunt Cindy's right now. I wanted to go to Morton's to check on family, but according to Mom all the roads to Morton's are blocked. She wouldn't tell me how.
The house wasn't empty when we got there. We found Jared and Kendee hiding in the attic crawlspace. They were all at the hospital visiting Allie (she had surgery the night before) when this outbreak happened. Jared says they came out of no-where. Josh tried fighting the damn things off. Idiot! Aunt Cindy tried to get everyone out, but...yeah.
Uncle Mike wasn't with them. He got called into work last minute this morning. I hope he's ok. He should be, right? I mean, mines should be easy to defend.
...We haven't been able to reach D.C. or Uncle Alan since Mom came home, and no one's been able to get in touch with Aunt Cheryl.
