While We're on the Subject of Guns...

Here's a list of [almost] all the guns we own. Some of them we haven't even shot yet. We're probably going to the crater off of Lakeshore sometime this weekend to sight some of them in.

The neat thing about the STG-556 =and the FN FS2000, they each have an EOtech 512 scope on them. If you've ever played Call of Duty 4, they're the exact same thing as that really snazzy scope on some of the weapons in singleplayer, the one that projects a red, holographic circular target shape with a dot in the middle, instead of just a red dot. It's definitely an awesome scope, and surprisingly accurate.

Just plain ridiculous.
Having gotten a conceal/carry permit, the laws of the state of Alabama state that the weapon you conceal on your person must be officially seen as a handgun, or pistol, and not a long-arm of any type. A pistol, and a pistol only.

.......

Fortunately, for some strange reason, the Kel-Tec PLR-16 is indeed considered a pistol.

"The Kel-Tec PLR-16 is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 5.56mm NATO (.223 cal) manufactured by Kel-Tec Industries."

Aside from being the neatest .223 rifl-- pistol (sorry, I keep making the mistake of calling it a rifle for some STRANGE reason.) that I've shot, we decided to add a 30-round clip, a barrel shroud, a red-dot scope to the top, as well as a foregrip (alas, having the foregrip attached at any time makes this weapon ILLEGAL), so make your own judgements. Either way, I think it's a pretty swell piece to have on person in case you walk in on a robbery in progress.

You never know!

Congratulations, Tom Dooley, your republican dreams have come true.

Everything is okay.
Aside from today being my birthday, everything else is running pretty smoothly. As a surprise gift, I have acquired a Gateway 7811FX laptop. ....WOW.

This thing is awesome as hell, and once I get all my basic peripherals reinstalled and get everything set up to program my video games and make my cartoons again, I'll be getting ready to install Crysis on it.

Best birthday, EVER.

Two days until my birthday, on the night I begin drawing the first frame of my cartoon, my laptop dies. I'm on my PSP right now, but it'll all be taken care of by Friday. (Goodbye, HP Pavilion, Hellllooo Acer Aspire One!!)

Oh, more art stuff, as in a movie poster---

Holy shit.

Sorry for the completely unnecessary expletive in the subject bar, but HOLY SHIT, BIONIC COMMANDO: REARMED IS AWESOME.

Seriously... Ever since the original NES Bionic Commando came out back in the late 80's, it's been my favorite video game of all time. I even bought a dedicated cabinet of the arcade version, coin slots and all.

URGH! A SKYPE WAR!
My hip is doing a lot better. I can walk on both legs now. Thanks to everybody that sent get-well LJ comments, ahyurk.

Other than lying in bed and groaning, I'm constantly struggling with more content towards my cartoon, but I can at least say that it's still steadily coming together.

In other news, I set up a Skype account on my PSP.. I had no idea they put such a thing on a handheld gaming console. I just want to use it to talk to people like on Ventrilo or Teamspeak, or whatever, not the money-costing telephone service. How the hell does this thing work, anyway?

Surprisingly, my nickname on Skype is simply " FredrykPhox "

Hey, everybody, this is Ryan, Fred's roommate.

Fred was in a forklift accident earlier today, and is going to be off of his feet for a little while. He is requesting that I update his livejournal to let everyone know he's okay, and he'll probably try to get on Stickam later on tonight (around 11 or 12, CST), more than likely to explain everything himself, since I hate all this LJ crap.

Anyhow, he's groaning for me to go get him some Nehi or some shit, so everyone have a lovely afternoon.

Stickam Group Chat Room -or- New Art
I have that "OMG ITS FREDRYK" chatroom thing up and running on Stickam.com again, if anyone ever feels like dropping by to philosophize or something. If you need help finding it, go here.

If the channel isn't up, then I'm probably not around, or I'm on a Live thing. The Live stickam streams are more focused on the user hosting them, with just 6 slots, but the quality of the audio and video is much better. If you want to see if that's up and running, then just go to http://www.stickam.com/fredryk.

New artwork!

My Wii Friend Code -or- Mario Kart Wiiiiii!!!
Hey, if anyone wants to play Mario Kart sometime, my MK friend code is 5069 5070 9148 and my Wii number is 3667 9374 1717 4676.

Leave a reply below with your own wii friend code (assuming you want to play MK sometime) and I'll add you as soon as I can.

Don't get your hopes up about excitement, though. I really suck as far as a challenge goes.

Say "Hello" to the Team.
This will be my last "update" on the cartoon until it's done.

All I'm going to say is that Fred and two of his do-nothing buddies are whisked away on a prophetic journey across space to save the universe from aliens.

Fredryk Phox, the main protagonist, severely depressed and always looking for some sort of way to redeem himself for his guilty past.

Cyrus Terboli, Fred's only real 'friend,' addicted to painkillers and cursed with a horridly pessimistic world view.

Jermaine "M.C. Chump Change" Jarvis, resident "woulda-been" rap superstar, as well as Fred and Cyrus's "dealer," who somehow ends up getting dragged into this mess right along with his two favorite customers.

Charlotte Girlchik, the "girl-from-space" who comes to Earth to break the news to Fred that he's been "chosen" for something really, really hard: saving the universe.

and Deramus Girlchik, genius scientist and adopted father to Charlotte, he runs the show once the story moves out of Earth's atmosphere.

There may be a trailer forthcoming, but only after I get at least half of the cartoon finished.

Thanks for [still] watching.

I'm Getting Back on the Road.
I've started work on my new cartoon project, and no you can't hear anything at all about it right now. I'm not saying a damn word until I get something solid complete.

In other news, orchestrating the soundtrack is going to be a fun project to tackle, since I've been getting better acquainted with new samples and programs.

I messed around last night and made two little "exercise" mp3's, one is the castle theme from the NES game "Dragon Warrior," (just because I know the song by ear and it was fun to compose) and the other is a suspense-y improvisation on music from the NES game "Bionic Commando." Either way, it goes to show that good samples make everything sound a lot better.

MP3 01 - Dragon Warrior - Castle Theme

MP3 02 - Bionic Commando Suspense

Regardless, sorry about not posting in so long. Real life has been keeping me really busy.

Hey, my internet as been 99% down for the past month or so, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. Anyway, I've been finishing up some art stuff for the rest of the people that have sent in some paypal donations. Sorry it's been taking so long to fill out all the "orders," lots of crap's been going on with the internet, my computer, and everything else in general, so don't think I've forgotten about everybody! Again, my bad. :(

The storyboard stuff is going good for my next project. I uploaded a few pages of the storyboard if anyone wants to see.

Thanks again.

So I made a video.
I made a video of me messing around with some musical instruments, including my old slide harmonica and a few smaller ones, as well as my old Radio Shack keyboard, helping me perform an interesting parody of TMBG's "Particle Man."

4.8mb WMV format. Enjoy.
