This is mentioned in "Get Used To It." A transcript, if you will, of Vince's interview on "The Daily Show," which I wrote because... I don't know why, but it was fun.

Title: Made Men
Author:
fourteencandles
Fandom/Pairing: Entourage, Vince/E
Rating, Warnings: NC-17.
Series? No.
Length: About 39,000 words. Six parts. Complete.
Spoilers: Season 1, Season 2.
Summary: This was written for
entourage_fest, for my request from (
dancinbutterfly: At Sundance, Vince and Eric decide they should do Tapping the Source with Harvey Weinstein instead of take a risk on Aquaman. How does their life(second half of Season 2 onwards) change because of this decision? There's so many ways their lives could have been different. Show me what you think. E/V is the only must. I hope it's what you want!
Notes: This tries to stay true to the events of Season 2 that were *not* directly Vince-related, so if you haven't seen S2, it may not make as much sense. Weirdly. What fun, though! Thanks to
shoshannagold for the read-through today.

Some other folks were posting about this, and it seemed like such a good idea that -- I dunno, I caught the crazy bug and had to join in. So, I've posted/offered over at
livelongnmarry, a community where artists of all types are auctioning off stuff to raise funds to defeat the California ballot initiative that would invalidate the recent allowing of gay marriage in CA. Here, in pictures:

I'm offering Entourage, House, or Bones fiction, gen, het, or slash, of over 5,000 words. Clearly, if you know and read me, you know that 5,000 is kind of a drabble for me, so probably if anyone bids, they'll get something at or above the 15K mark. If no one bids, maybe I'll pay myself (and donate it to charity) to write something new. Woo!
In summary: Yay gay marriage!
Wander over if you have a chance, and take a look at all the great stuff on offer. It warms a fangirl's heart, it does.

I've been slowing down on "Entourage" recently, struggling with different fics in different ways and getting discouraged. This is usually a bad sign for me with a fandom, and I wanted to combat the early signs of burnout (particularly since the fic-athon is going on). So I turned to watching episodes, and man, I'm so glad I did.
The Pilot! It's so great. I mean, aside from the pivotal "make my decisions for me scene," there are so many other cool details I'd totally forgotten:
And my favorite dialogue in the whole thing:
Uber-codependency.
Vince: "We'll talk about it in Vegas.
E: "Eeh, I'm not gonna go to Vegas."
Vince: "Mm? What do you mean, you're not going to Vegas?"
E: I'm not gonna go.
Vince: C'mon, we'll have a blast. We got the Real World Suite at the Palm.
E: Yeah, I'm not gonna go.
Vince: Yeah, me neither. The guys were kind of psyched to go, but fuck it. Maybe we'll bag the reunion, too.
E: I'm not bagging the reunion.
V: You'd go without me?
E: Yeah. I'd rather go without you.
V: Fuck you!
E: I'm not trying to be an asshole, I'm just saying, you go and it turns into the Vince show.
V: Ohhh, I know what's going on. You're just afraid I'm gonna fuck that little Asian chick you used to chase around. What was her name?
E: Sara Lum? I don't care about Sara Lum.
V: Dim sum Lum.
E: Don't call her that.
V: All right. I'll go. Your passive aggressive shit got me.
E: All right, we leave for the airport at three. And don't even look at Sara Lum.
V (making a circle around his lap): You just have to tell her, this is my no-fly zone. If she enters my airspace, she's going down.
Pause.
E (with the best non-plussed look EVER): Your airspace?
Seriously, I love these guys. I kind of forget how GUY they are, sometimes; this was a nice refresher. Thanks, Pilot. And thanks, Doug Ellin.
The Pilot! It's so great. I mean, aside from the pivotal "make my decisions for me scene," there are so many other cool details I'd totally forgotten:
- Eric calling Drama "Johnny," and Vince calling Eric "Eric."
- Vince looking back at Eric when he's on the red carpet. (and the two of them sitting close in the limo).
- Vince taking Eric's coffee and making it his own in the kitchen.
- Everything about the scene when the two of them are watching Turtle and Drama play basketball, where E says, "Dude, you're such an idiot" under his breath.
- And honestly? All of the golf. "What'd Vince do today?" "He worked on his short game." Roof golf (Brosnan's got the Spanish roof). Fake golf after seeing Wahlberg's crew.
- Smart Turtle ("you indicating motherfucker!")
- Emotional Eric ("look at me, I'm shaking here, I feel like I'm gonna throw up!")
- Hot but kind of dumb Vince (eating SUGAR out of the BOX, and, "this shit is hard")
And my favorite dialogue in the whole thing:
