Hello!

I am going to England for about a week this October. I plan on visiting various Jane Austen and Tolkien sites, but I'd really like to find some places to visit where Elizabeth Gaskell lived/wrote. However, I'm having problems finding information about where to visit from the internet. Any suggestions? I will be staying principally in London, but taking day trips to Oxford, Bath and Winchester. I have time to take at least one more day trip, so stuff within reach from London would be fine. :)

Since I've yet to read the book, I picked up a copy at the local bookstore recently.  I wasn't really enthused about reading it online via Project Gutenberg.  But now I'm wondering if I got the NERDIEST edition that is out there, i.e. the one with the most ridiculous amount of footnotes and other notes...  ;-)

I have made a John & Margaret screen saver, but I need someone to test it out and see if it is working properly. It is the first time i have used this program so I am not sure if I created it properly, lol. It is only for windows systems, sorry mac users. It is just lots of pictures of them together or apart even, to the music at the train station.

What I really need is someone to test it for me. Thanks.

This is not a happy video, it is about his loneliness, and his frustrated love for Margaret. The clock is a repeating theme as it represents that his chances of happiness are slipping away with the passing of time.

Yesterday I re-watched N&S and I've made a pic spam for episode 1. You'll see my comments and the dialogue transcripts are in Spanish. My mother tongue is Spanish and most of my f-list are spanish too so that's why I usually write my entries in this language though I'm getting used to write in English.

 Okay - this is, I guess, my introduction post (but don't worry, I do have a question - it's not just me rambling on)
I got the DVD of N&S two days ago (after having read the book five months ago), and, having watched it, am now seized with an uncontrollable desire to write fanfic: specifically an AU - what if the stone had hit Thornton?
My question is this: How the heck do you write a Yorkshire  Lancashire accent? Whenever I try, it always comes out as either far too broad for the character, or totally unreadable.  :(  Anyone got any ideas?

 

I would like to enquire if I submit someone some caps from North and South would they be willing to make me a a and a couple of to go with it? I have five LJ's (yes I know its crazy) and I want to change one of them to North and South or should I say Margaret/Mr. Thornton. The default colour of my LJ is white. So please keep that in mind. I am also not a fan of brushes and too many textures. If you see my userpics I like nice bright colours.

I realise it is too much to ask but with Christmas just around the corner I was hoping for some volunteers? I know people usually make wish lists this time of year. I guess this is one of my wishes.
