![]() | Remember after we made cookies there was leftover canned pumpkin that you were gonna take home? Well, you forgot it here. I was gonna bring it up sooner in case you wanted to come pick it up, but then remembered something about the cookies and what might have gone wrong: after my mom would make them, she’d store them in this metal tin…and for some reason, after two or three days, they were a whole lot moister and yummier, and the frosting wasn’t as crunchy. So I hope you won’t be hurt that I wanted to do a science experiment and try again, and used up the remainder of the pumkin in the process. This time I’ll seal them up in Tupperware and stash them aside ’til Coffee Night, and we can see if the aging improves their flavor. They came out very fluffy this time, maybe even moreso than the first batch. Thank you for the ninja cookie mixing tips! Oh, and I used a squeeze bag this time. Aren’t they adorable? |
Those aren't cookies you aren't fooling anyone!!
Busted!
The observant will notice that, working forward, she switched from the North American to Australian technique; the former traditionally coil clockwise, the latter counterclockwise. A couple of unbiased equatorial cat doodies can be seen in the back row.

You haven't tasted cooking this fine until it's come from Colon.
And tasty?

"Tasty" remains to be seen. Both Tessa and Justin seemed to approve of the last batch, but maybe were just being polite. The cookie part itself is pretty subtle, almost bland...but the frosting, being pure sugar and lard, makes it all worthwhile.

Pumpkin Poop!
I can't wait to try one! I had some of the ones I took home yesterday, sans frosting, but enough had soaked in to the cookie to give me a buzz. For me, I think the frosting was just too thick to compliment the delicate pumpkin flavoure of the cookie. Plus it gave me the sugar rush that beat all sugar rushes!
You are becoming master baker!
Hey kids? Who wants Pumpkin poop cookies?!
Mmmmms...has that sorta nutty flavor.
