Attention motorcycle riders While I'm sure that driving down the middle of windy mountain roads is fantastic fun, It's also a very good way to slam your skull into the front fender of my car on a tight corner. Now I don't care if you kill yourself doing something incredibly stupid, but I do mind if you fuck up my car in the process. I should also note that this extends to bicyclists as well, ESPECIALLY the assholes riding 3 abreast who refuse to move over. Sharing the road goes both ways. I'm very careful to stay on my side of the road, especially on narrow mountain roads. It could kill you to not do the same. Current Mood:  irritated |

Well that only took 6 hours. Drop in replacement my ass... I had to do a fair bit of sanding to make it fit. I was also able to finally quash that obnoxious ground loop almost completely. It cant be heard over the engine and transmission anyways. It's nice having a good speaker up front. All of a sudden I hear all sorts of new things in my music. Now all thats left is to get the door speakers in and clean up the wires.  Current Mood:  accomplished |

Saturday with Doc Wong. Went to Doc Wong's auto clinic on Saturday. Had a lesson on seating position and steering inputs, then went on a drive down some incredibly windy roads at breakneck speed. It was a lot of fun, and I learned a few things too.  There's another mod that I have neglected to post up here. I finally installed the puddle lights.  Current Mood:  satisfied |

Influenza So last thursday night I came down with the flu. On friday It fully kicked in, with a frog in my throat and severe aching pain in my lower back, and wrists, and chills and sweats. Left work early, went home and took several hot baths over friday and saturday. My 100.5 degree fever broke last night, so from now on, whenever i get a fever I'm going to plant myself in a hot bath and burn the invaders up. Current Mood:  sick |

Houston, we have a problem. The stock alternator for the RX-8 produces a max output of 100 amps at 12 volts. The peak draw from my new amplifier is 100 amps at 12 volts. Now, I don't think I'll be anywhere near my peak draw most of the time, but this still means I need an upgraded alternator to properly power the amp. I refuse to use a capacitor. Car clubs
So today after work I hung out with several people from the RX-8 forum I go to www.rx8club.com if you care to stalk me.
I didn't flip my shit. I didn't have trouble when we went to sushi boat, and I was able to make a couple of the girls there laugh a few times.
Maybe I really am getting more social... scary thought. |
