Sereniteas (the whole crew)
My apologies since this is a bit of a repeat. This is a follow-up to the post I made about my Sereniteas. All the teas are now done (Jayne won't be available until early August because one of the component teas won't be ready until then). So, for convenience I will post the complete list of offerings here instead of trying to retroactively insert them in the previous post :)

Sereniteas:

Ariel: snowbud, white pear, white tangerine (white tea)
Badger: earl grey, rum, apples (black tea)
Firefly: gunpowder, mandarin orange green, wild strawberries (green tea)
Jayne: assam, chestnut, lapsang souchong (black tea)
Inara: chocolate, strawberries, passionfruit, spearmint (black tea)
Kaylee: vanilla rooibos, wild strawberries (rooibos - caffeine free)
Mal: gunpowder, mandarin orange green (green tea)
Miranda: lemongrass, rooibos orange, chamomile (tisane - caffeine free)
Nandi: passionfruit, peaches, ginger (black tea)
Persephone: masala chai (spices), mambo (two black teas), blood oranges (black tea)
River: almond, mambo, caramel (black tea)
Shepherd Book: vanilla oolong, almong oolong, gunpowder (oolong tea)
Simon: irish breakfast, currants and berries (black tea)
Wash: coconuts, pineapples and tropical fruits, strawberries and chocolate (black tea)
YoSaffBridge: white pear, raspberries, cranberries, chamomile (white tea - low caffeine)
Zoe: kukicha, cherries and other fruits, gunpower (green tea)

These teas are available here. Mal and Inara are available here. Eventually they will be all in one place...but Rome wasn't built in a day, ya know *grin*.

Thank you everyone for your enthusiastic interest in this project!! You guys are THE BEST(tm) and I am very proud to call myself a Browncoat, it puts me in the best company!

Cheers!

Melinda Clarke joins our favorite merc on "Chuck"
I just found this promo for the next season of "Chuck":

Unless I'm going blind, Melinda Clarke (Nandi) was in that promo!! I really can't wait to see that episode. I wonder if they're going to make any Firefly references. Probably something about whores. *snickers*

Whedontube
People probably already know about this, but I just wanted to share: I've recently found Whedontube and it looks like all the Dr Horrible Acts are available to view here http://www.whedontube.com/watch/playlist/JWJCD8SXV8Q1R47K as well as a whole load of Firefly/Serenity stuff.

I have wasted an entire evening watching Whedon stuff... wait a minute, that's not a waste of an evening! that's an excellent use of an evening! :)

Sereni-TEAS!
When two of my addictions overlap - beware. *grin*

Okay, some of you may recall that I did an interview with [info]haldira on Joss'd about Firefly tea. It was fun! She asked me if I had considered making character teas and I said I would think about it.

Since then, Adagio Teas helped out with CSTS by making some blends to raffle. So, I was finally moved to go ahead and make those requested teas!

They are not yet all made, there are three whose blends escape me at the moment as they prove to be rather tricky to fabricate what I am looking for. (Those are Jayne, River and Yo-Saf-Bridge). But there are others ready and willing to be quaffed!!

Here is the list:

Nandi: Passionfruit and Peaches (black tea)
Kaylee: Vanilla and Wild Strawberries (rooibos - caffeine free!)
Simon: Irish Breakfast, currants and berries (black tea)
Shepard Book: Vanilla oolong, rooibos, gunpowder green (mix blend)
Zoe: kukicha green, cherries and other fruits, gunpowder (green tea)
Badger: earl grey, rum flavored black and apples (black tea)
Wash: Valentines (chocolate and strawberries), tropical fruit, coconut (black tea)

They all have some arty labels I whipped up(without character faces, yet, but still pretty groovy I think)! You can find them at Adagio's Signature Blend section under S for Serenitea. Or, on the 'by creator' page under Tanya Laird.

I have ordered a few already and am looking forward to testing them out. I did as much homeblending as I could, but your opinion on them will greatly help! If we can get some smashing good blends then Adagio (who has offered to add them to the following site) will not have to alter them much or at all when they add them to the Firefly/Equality Now Charity Page!

(For those who are thinking about the donation aspect, I will be using bonus points that I earn to obtain free tins of the teas which then can be sold at cons or whatnot to earn money to go toward charities! I plan to make this all work out in the was one way or another!)

ALSO: I would like to note that fellow Browncoats have been adding in their two leaves worth! (huzzah!) Please, also check out:

Dr. Horrible's Tea of Evil!
Fruity Oaty Bar!
Serenitea!
Beth's Buffy Blend! (okay this one is also mine (and not Firefly related, but still JOSS related, AND it is bloody good!)

[info]haldira has also put together quite a lot of teas, her Brutaliteas in particular are quite yummy and popular. So, HERE is the big ol' list of her teas!

Cheers!

Some photos from the Austin CSTS event:
http://lavellephotography.smugmug.com/gallery/5462621_J35ih#333972414_R5fS6

We had two photographers. These are the photos from the professional. Our event was on July 13th, 2008 at Alamo Drafthouse, a theatre in Austin where you can watch a movie, eat, drink and be merry.

We had a costume contest, Cedric of the Bedlam Bards, a raffle, auction and then the Big Damn Movie!

:)

Enjoy!

The Words We Cannot Say
I hope no one minds if I share my one other Firefly story. I'd love to write more of them but I'm just not coming up with any ideas, I'm always opened to prompts if people have them ^_~

Title: The Words We Cannot Say
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Hurt/Comfort
Characters: Mal, Inara
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters from Firefly

Summary: "On a mission gone wrong-perhaps because Mal truly can't go anywhere without starting a fight-Inara and Mal are trapped on the damaged shuttle, and Mal's bleeding fast."

The Words We Cannot Say

I hope you enjoy!
