This is the largest Goodwill I've ever been to, and it's always got it's share of horrors. Can anyone tell me which fonts are used here? Still looking for Kamikitten Robert Hawkwood (read details), plus some random furniture/decor
( You are about to view content that may not be appropriate for minors. ) Monochrome Factor Episode 6 - Rose’s Shadow
![]() I give up. The rest of the world is right - Monochrome Factor is crap, and unfortunately it’s no longer crap enough for me to enjoy for fun. It’s not even really worth talking about what happens in this episode, it’s by-the-numbers filler crap that’s not particularly funny and is shoddily executed. If it was only 13 episodes I could take it, but there’s no point in watching this for 24 episodes of ugly emaciated character designs, hyperactive squealing from voice actors who should know better and an almost totally non-existent plot beyond “there are monsters. We must destroy them!”. Good riddance, I say. Kaiba Episode 9 - Attack Warp!
![]() With the various Dadas under his control, Popo starts to put his final plan to take over the planet in motion - by getting Neiro to kill Kaiba and vice versa. Having brainwashed Neiro (and Cheki, after she tries to convince Neiro not to go through with it), the two ex-lovers confront each other as Popo eggs Neiro on - and not even a last minute intervention from Kichi can stop tragic events from unfolding… Well, except for two things. One, it’s not very tragic - we already know that the Kaiba!Warp body is invincible, so “blowing him up” isn’t going to be very effective (although I can’t remember if Popo knows that - I don’t think he does, especially as he tries to poison Kaiba). Two, Kichi’s big impassioned speech to Neiro to get her to remember the truth is rather contrived - I’ve watched this episode a couple of times and it really doesn’t hold up as a dramatic device (as we have debated in the glorious AnimeSuki thread). Why Popo sits there and lets Kichi spout off is something of a mystery - he doesn’t have a weapon, but surely he could get Neiro to shoot him? Kaiba does help to jog Neiro’s memory when he draws funny pictures in the air - something which makes a lot more sense after you’ve seen episode 10, as does a lot of the stranger imagery from this episode - but I don’t think that’s enough. Despite this, getting to this point of the show is probably the dramatic high point thus far, and episode 10 looks to do a great job of filling in the blanks for what happened to Kaiba and Neiro before the first episode. On rewatching, there’s one rather ominous line that Fake!Warp utters, though - something about “the Fan” (which is part of episode 11’s title). And what’s with the strange machine that seems to be having problems that occasionally pops up in between scenes? It would be nice to know exactly what’s going on, after all… Challenge 48 - Summer banners

Synopsis As the year 2000 draws closer, the agents are up against a man from the Millennium Group who believes that he can bring about the end of the world on the 31st of December if he resurrects 4 former members from the dead. To gain more insight into the group and its practices, Mulder and Scully enlist criminal profiler Frank Black to assist them in the investigation. Writer: Frank Spotnitz, Vince Gilligan Director: Thomas J. Wright Originally aired: November 28, 1999 Quotes Scully: Mulder, have you been spreading rumours? Mulder: Why? You hear any good ones lately? Scully: Mulder, those people, even when they were alive mangled biblical prophecy to the extent that it's unrecognizable. The year 2000 is just their artificial deadline and besides, 2001 is actually the start of the new millennium. Mulder: Nobody likes a math geek, Scully. Mulder: The world didn't end. Scully: No, it didn't. Mulder: Happy New Year Scully. Scully: Happy New Year Mulder. Links Episodes online and here and here Episode transcript Screencaps Episodic Fanfic and here Mods thoughts and discussion attempts How do you spell festive? Z-O-M-B-I-E-S. I love this episode for superficial reasons. I even only chose shippy screencaps (but really that's mainly because there were no good ZOMBIE! ones). Mulder and Scully are SO CUTE this season. I love their interactions so so much. Like Mulder's facial reaction when Scully said "[he] had [her] up until that point". And in this episode, Mulder has great hair and Scully's isn't all that bad. So it's enjoyable to watch for aesthetic reasons at least. But for others as well of course - I do like the episode overall. I love the autopsy scene with the coroner going at the salt with the tiny little scoop. Why does it intrigue me so? I like Frank Black, but I never felt his character was interesting enough for me to watch his actual show (Millennium). Though since I haven't seen it, maybe others have better input on that. I notice though that his daughter is the same girl who played his daughter in this episode and Terry Effing O'Quinn was in that show as well. Thanks IMDB! I remember seeing this for the first time and obviously it aired before actual New Years of that year and it shows of course that the world is fine, the world goes on even when it turns to the year 2000. I was never crazy all over Y2K or even paid much attention to it but I DID have a little tiny niggle of "Oh wait, what if the X-Files is WRONG. What if we all DIE?" But they were right. Good for the XF writers and their prediction skills. ;) So the end. The redhaired chick from either Detour or from Field Trip (as per my comment in the Field Trip post, I've obviously been wrong and have mixed those two women up for a few years) appears in the countdown NYE thing on the television (with Dick Clark!). We see Mulder and Scully do the whole New Years kiss in public! with lighting! and I love it. People speculate all the time about the "awkwardness" and wondering if Scully was regretting that kiss. I ignore all of that. WHATEVER YO, THEY KISS. I'm pretty easy to please. ( Sample Screencaps ) Things We Learned 101 Extra Mulder: "Shoot them in the head, it seems to stop them. "This line is a homage to the original Night of the Living Dead. Vince Gilligan's tradition of including his girlfriend's name in all his episodes continues here - much of the episode takes place in Rice County, Maryland, and the institution where Frank stays is the Hartwell Psychiatric Hospital (in Virginia - Vince's home state). From Hey there. I just found this icon by Figure Review: Seena from Shining Tears will SPOIL YOUR COMPUTER.
Because she had a powerful magnet in her head. This allows a little metal plate embedded inside her feather cap (+10 to agility??) to be attracted to her cute head, and make the hat stay on firmly. This figure is great because you can be all innocent and show it to your friend, then secretly swipe his hard disk with the little beauty, causing all his homework to be zapped to infinity and beyond. Besides that, the sculpt, painting and design is a good A- standard. Not the best, but good enough. Kotobukiya is the maker, and is charging 5500 yen. Do realise Seena is still available in the market easily so that means people don’t like her. Poor thing got released in December 2007 and I’ve gotten her for the longest time yet didn’t bother to post up the pictures. Seena has a pretty face, courtesy of the designs of the great porn artist Tony Taka. TT is probably the best artist for drawing girls, alongside the likes of Range Murata and Oh!Great. Many of these so-called great doujin artists are terrible and appeal only to the hardcore otaku who like cutesy colourful and nauseatingly cartoony females. Yes that Shuffle guy is one, as is the Nanoha guy. Oh yeah, she wears striped panties, which may be of interest to some fetishists out there. Personally, I’m no fan of stripes, it makes butts look fat. Seena’s metal bustier doesn’t reveal much in the way of lovefunbags, but that’s alright. The rapier can be removed from her hand, and Seena is able to hold other weapons with aplomb. Saber’s Excalibur, Airi’s Scythe etc all fit her well. By the way, I’ll be having a mass clearance sale of my unwanted figurines, and many of these are rare and out of print. So await with bated breath my dear friends! Reason being I am fucking broke after buying camera and lenses and need to order a flash.
