Current mood: bored

And this is the farewell
It's a long post, without images, and basically it's my "Bye-Bye Message" with Thank-You's and all of that.

I don't know where to begin.

Febrary 14 of 2002, I read about Lineage in a Mac Magazine named MacAddict. There they mentioned that Apple.com had, as feature, the game, and that Lineage opened their Mac Beta stage, so I decided to give it a try. It was going to be the first time I played something like that, an Massive Multiplayer Online RPG, and I wasn't used to paying, but I think in those times it was free, not really sure. Anyways, my story begins from there.

I've met so many nice people since then, and even tho I quit Lineage, they won't be forgotten. I remember my newb days, I didn't know shit about the game, or how to play, I didn't have anything good, but those times were good. You had fun with your friends, hunting, fighting from time to time.

Lineage, the concept of the game, is not bad. The only problem is how it's managed: bad updates, stupid disconnections, and all of that. Even when it's caused by them, their "support" will tell you that it's your problem. I could dare to say that NC's support is the worst that I've seen. Anyways, I won't waste my time flaming the game.

In almost two years, I've been in the following pledges (from first ones to last ones):

SC3AMZ, prince D3S3CR4TiON
Electron, I was one of the core members of the pledge
Pirates, prince was LyuBai but managed by MaChao
DOM
BOSS (Undercover pledge)
FCA (the best pledge!)
HeavensEnd (Ahmda's Pledge)

These are the people that I would like to thank for being nice. Lineage should have more players like them, people that don't care only about money, but also about people, people that makes the game fun, and makes you feel like you are in a family, that you are close to them. They will be written in no specific order (sorry if I missed anyone).

Magnetik, Azbel, ZMayaZ, Eroe1, Curain(Tarador), Alleah, FieldsOfLove, BizMarkie, Ahmda, Eolie, Falenstar, Misterfier, Talass, KrisM, GONNAS, AcidTrance, Raalik, Weathermen, Lugz, Bajaratt, Marquez, Slatter, Genitorturer(GraphicsGirl), Yonate, Bugbeasts, LifeStealer, Mortlach, ZBanditZ, zzebz, Greenleaves, Brickhouse, Cowgirl, KirKanos, DQuest, O2ion, Wingman1, Warf, BlackMagic, Bardee, MrShrooms, Serricon, StarGod, Anakinn, Elfviss, Anarin, ElvenReign, SiberiaSky, Devi, Wae, Ahkbar and Pyroxenite.

The best pledge I've been is FCA. Everyone can talk anything you want. In the past I used to be, somehow, enemy of them, but when you know them, it's so cool. They are like a family, and not like other pledges that are only interested in power and money -.-

In two years, I've worked in Lineage Stratics, when it began. I was one of the few ones that was working on it but then I just left. Then I also helped Amer, sending some HOC reports and such things, and at the end I was going to help in LineageGuide but I decided to leave too. I've also made other projects (like DOM Pledge site and FCA Site), so nobody can tell me that I didn't contribute to the game. I'm saying this because I'm reminding that once someone in Lineage.com said something stupid that why I kept flaming and wasn't doing anything good.

My chars:

- DhaosXT, was an INT Knight.
- ChaosXT, don't remember what was he.
- Neologic, was an elf but got deleted.
- CipherWave, a knight
- Gahlok, elf
- Tarasque, mage
- Rihal, de
- Turahk, de, but got deleted
- secret elf, won't say his name =p

I've been participating in the "War" on Dep for almost a year, in both sides. Even during war, I got friends in the other side, and just because of that it doesn't mean that we can't chat normally. There is people that takes the game, and the fight, too serious, they should leave it in the game (well, depending in the situation).

Blogs, I remember when it began. Nobody can deny that, one of the ones that began the blog system is Ahmda. She inspired so many people into going to that business, and that's why you see so many blogs around. I know that out there there are a few people that don't like her, but don't mess with her -.- She is someone very nice, and even if I didn't have the time to chat with her more, I can say that she's great. Thanks to all of those that kept visiting my blog, I really appreciate it.

Cheaters... I don't know why they don't get bored in the game. It's like playing Diablo with cheats, after a while you are so powerful that you are bored -.- No challenge. But, we won't see the day that NC actually do anything about them. NC loves them, because that's incomming money -.-

My future plans. Even tho I'm quitting today, it doesn't mean that I will never be returning. I might change my mind and come back. My account runs out the 17 so I might log from time to time to talk to friends. I got to find out what to do so I leave the addiction of Lineage. When I began playing, I remember I used to play six hours... now I barely play two because it's not fun. As some of you know, I'm a Graphic Designer, should graduate from college by the end of this year, and got some projects that I'm working on. Maybe I'll post the link later of my online portfolio ^_^

The blog... I don't know if I'll keep updating it. Who knows, if I come back it will be for sure that I'll post it here ^_^

I was going to write more but I think this is enough =p No pictures so you all should be bored by now.. heheh.

THANKS THANKS THANKS! And have fun!

EDIT: Heheh, I forgot to say why I'm quitting *^_^* I'm quitting because I'm tired of the same thing, hunting or fighting. There are no really challenges, and how can there be challenges with people cheating and having things without working for it? What's the whole idea then of it? Any other than that, and since nothing has really changed, paying 15$ is a waste.

There's a new technology called DISC, that is being developped by companies like AlienWare. The short version is that it's a console that will be able to play PC games without having to buy the machine.

It's something very interesting. I wrote in my pledge's board about it, here's the link

Very sad to see you go Tara. You were a great guy. Even though I no longer play Lineage, I know the Lineage community will be missing another great player. Hope everything goes well in real life for you. If you really want to quit, you just need to remember that you want to, and find something to occupy your time in real life (girlfriends seem to be able to fill the spot very easily ;)) Good luck with your graphic designing, if you put half the effort into that that you put into the game at the beginning, you will be great! Once again, good luck in real life!
