In my abscence, Pokemon Platinum was released and fully explored. I F5'd multiple Pokemon sites to get all the info.

Needless to say it's is a vast improvement over D/P in themselves. It's by far the best third-entry game.

The coolest news? Rotom having a LAWNMOWER form.

but I never actually went anywhere. Had to reformat my computer a few weeks ago, and had no idea how to recover my LJ account information.

Well, I managed to do it.

I appear to be having a problem with nightmares.

I'll go to sleep, wake up in 3 hours due to one. Go back to sleep, wake up in a hour due to another, so and so forth.

It's giving me a hard time, because it's making me tired during the day. Not to mention it's just bad dealing with this while I'm sleeping.

Really don't need this now...

Well, remember that shoddy teacher I was talking about? He doesn't appear to be ruthless and evil as the people on RateMyProfessor made him sound.

BUT

he's one of those book teachers. His lecture/powerpoint was 100% out of the textbook as if it were a script. Aren't textbooks supposed to be a SUPPLEMENT to the lecture?

On top of this, the class' discussion board is making me look like an idiot. Why? Because no one else uses it. Anytime I ask a question it just sits there. A passerby might think "HAHAHA, this idiot has no clue what's going!!!!!1111one" But in the end, I guess I'll be the one laughing because I'll have asked. Oh wait, no I won't, because NO ONE ELSE FUCKING POSTS. :[

I finally got a car!!!



2007 PT Cruiser... got it used. It has a lot of mileage but otherwise looks brand new. No body damage, inner workings are without grime, runs great, interior is clean and still has a bit of new car smell.

Well, Fall semester started today. Went smoothly, instructor seems like a nice guy.

Tomorrow... well, we'll see. Getting a bad vibe from one the instructors tomorrow, he doesn't seem like a people person. Checking his rating on RateMyProffessor... yikes. I'm in for a rough ride, I think.

Console fanboys. Why do they cling to a single console and defend it and the company zealously? I've seen so many vile things resulting from console war threads, even going to fanboys linking others out to bestiality... images.

I don't get it, do they expect a reward for the company they defend?

*sigh*

Mother has a condition where if she eats peanuts/seeds/etc they will get stuck in her digestive system and cause A LOT of pain. Well, she got that treated with painkillers.

One of these painkillers had an adverse effect, and she got one of those "call your doctor immediately" ones. She had to go to the Emergency Room. They treated her and she came home at like 2AM. She's OK now, but damn was it a scare.

back to classes next week.

Some crap involving them too, half my schedule got cancelled, so I said "fuck it" and I'm now General IT major, and I'm planning to focus on data communication and security. Gonna expand my knowledge of C++ too since I'm rather fond of that language.

Should be fun.

On a lighter note, Pokemon Platinum trailers are on Youtube. This is shaping up to be the best third entry Pokemon game ever. Even better than Crystal. Yes I said even better than Crystal.



new sprites. Bad shot I know. Garchomp on the left, Torterra on the right. Garchomp is easily distinguised as being a new sprite, since his pose is completely different. Torterra is new too, despite the similar pose... his legs look more pronounced and he looks like he's being viewed from a lower angle.

As for us... well, someone at E3 said the game is tentatively set for a release in the end of next March. Yikes. 2 months shorter than what we waited on DQIV for.

Now... for something a bit... well, not good. Obviously, when a game comes out, the pirates jump right on the dump. They discovered DQV doesn't have an english script like IV did. Now, that's kinda bad because it means localization has to take longer... but that's not why they are upset. They are upset because it means they can't have a free english version of it right now :|

Go there, it's completely different. I really don't like the way it's been redone... I actually thought my browser was hijacked when I first logged there.

At least the forums are still intact.

On an amusing note, I had jury duty last week. My number was called very early so I spent most of the day in a courtroom. Anyways the case was dealing with a VERY violent criminal with several attempted murders and assaults... nasty customer.

I wasn't picked. Was thankful too since the accused was eyeing up the jury the whole time D:

E3 starts tomorrow, don't give a damn about the console panels. All I'm interested in is Square Enix's. Playable DQIV will be there!!! Which means new media from it to see. Also, CT DS. Final Fantasy IV too, but that comes out in a week anyways so...

Honestly haven't have much to say. Been going through some turbulence as far as the course of my life is concerned and crap... my school did something that has pretty much made half of the classes I've done up to this point mean NOTHING. I essentially have to start from scratch, and I'm very angry at his. The C++, Linux, and all of my other Comp Sci classes were all dropped from the degree requirements. Other pre-reqs remained thank goodness.
