I woke up later (MUCH later) than usual and my first thought was "Oh shit I'm probably missing out on Literati". EL-OH-EL. No game though.
On a recent topic the subject of my fame came up. It's not something I like thinking about. I do have a good deal of notoriety and infamy in small circles, but I don't consider myself famous by any conventional means. The things I'm appearing in have happened months or years ago and are never in reality as big a deal as they seem. It's also funny how people associate exposure with money, as if I have any.
Despite being relatively infamous (lol internet), I don't want to be actual celebrity famous. I've got just enough anonymity that I'll get the occasional person recognizing me at a convention or at the bookstore or something, which is nice/weird. But on the other hand I have these rude kids hustling me at the gym for work and I'm like, "BITCH I'm STARVING get the fuck away from me!"
Moral: Nobody should take their status on the internet too seriously. It typically holds little value in the real world.

Speaking of relative fame, it appears I am in the IMDB now. Odd, Ronin Boys was a small indie flick I worked on for 2 days some 3 years ago. I didn't think it was getting finished.
Man. The effects of my physique getting older are becoming more and more apparent. It's nowhere near as horrid as most people tend to exaggerate, and sometimes can be pretty humorous in a sense- I throw a head level roundhouse without stretching and I hear like five or six different pops and cracks from my legs and hips. The only thing I occasionally miss about my younger days is not having to warm up for 30 minutes (although steadily warming up can be pleasant with the right frame of mind)
I am sick to death of seeing Hayden Christensen's face. I loathed him in Episode 2 (I loathed Episode 2 period) and now I have to see him attempting an angry glare on every magazine and 7-11 Slurpee cup and bag of Skittles in the nation. He does NOT LOOK BAD-ASS. He looks irritated at best. There's something about that same face he makes in every ad that makes me want to take a ball-peen hammer to his forehead. I'll be relieved once the advertising has subsided.
8 days later, the Oreos are gone. That's 22 Oreos (3 to 4 packs) a day. They actually lasted longer than I predicted.
Reviews of the Zeppelin and RATM DVDs coming.
I hope my tawdry & indecent love affair with pasta never ends. |

Just try not to get too weird with the fusilli (remember that episode of Seinfeld? ASSMAN?!?).
hate to break it to you but I never thought Seinfeld was a funny show.
NEWSRADIO BIZNOTCHES
Nah, I'm finding out that the more people I meet, the more people I meet that didn't like Seinfeld. (I personally loved the show, and the reruns still hold up well.)
I am driving. That's how it be.
But who wins in a fight between Joe Rogan and Michael Richards?
Joe Rogan via guillotine choke in R1
Another NewsRadio fan!
I'm not alone anymore! <3
Phil Hartman and Andy Dick made the show enjoyable. The rest of the cast were merely there.
Seinfeld is quite possibly the best sitcom that ever existed. Newsradio was crap. I mean it was good, but it has it's setbacks:
1> Maura Tierney is hot but not THAT hot, Many people think the show is great because of her. 2> Joe Rogan sucks. so does fear factor 3> andy dick. 'nuff said
foley and jimmy james are good, but not good enough.
different strokes, you bastard. you can opinionate all you bloody want.
truce. *passes out twinkies and mtn.dew*
ok, but I prefer Zingers (with the raspberry and coconut stuff) and new Sprite Remix Aruba Jam
re:[comic strip]
I have been living a lie and my efforts were in vain. *tear* Incidentally though, GEL is the first one that came to mind.
then it is your duty to be resolute, and insure that your efforts were NOT in vain by opening that chain of "Photon's Burgers n' Volleyball" rec centers.
SERVICE with a smile!
(O God bad volleyball pun and it's 1 am gonna to to bed now)
Considering that at the moment, my Internet "notoriety" is all I have, thanks, needed that. I tend to forget stuff like that comic sometimes.
Well, that's one less thing to worry about. :)
Life is hills and valleys, man. Looks like you're on the upswing. | |
