Current Mood: accomplished
Hello and welcome. My name is Fred, and this is my latest, newest, most original novel idea. I signed up to participate in a National Novel Writer's Year program, and as such have committed myself (in more ways than one) to writing a new novel of at least 100,000 words by the end of 2006. As my first one, Starchild: Prophecy, was just over 160,000 words, I feel this is an achievable goal (especially as I will be going back to teaching again soon, therefore limiting my time).
I am titling my novel Eriskald for the purposes of this journal with every intention of giving it some completely different title when I decide to try and publish.
I will keep this post open to the public, and with it, post the six-page Prologue. Everything else past this point will be friends only, so if you want to read further then contact me and I will add you to my friends list.
FYI, the novel is fantasy based, taking place on another world of my own making (just to warn those who don't care for fantasy stories).
The Prologue is about six typed, single spaced pages long. I will be posting the rest in sections that should be about two to three similar pages in length, in sort of a serial format. Note that these are sections of chapters, not actual chapters (about four of these sections should equal a chapter).
So there you have it. Without further ado.... Eriskald.
