Whole wheat comes to the no-knead bread phenom:

Fast No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread

Published: October 7, 2008

The Minimalist: No-Knead Bread: Not Making Itself Yet, but a Lot Quicker (October 8, 2008)

2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 cup whole rye flour

1/2 cup coarse cornmeal

1 teaspoon instant yeast

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Oil as needed.

1. Combine flours, cornmeal, yeast and salt in a large bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups water and stir until blended; dough will be shaggy. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let dough rest about 4 hours at warm room temperature, about 70 degrees.

2. Oil a standard loaf pan (8 or 9 inches by 4 inches; nonstick works well). Lightly oil your hands and shape dough into a rough rectangle. Put it in pan, pressing it out to the edges. Brush top with a little more oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest 1 hour more.

3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake bread about 45 minutes, or until loaf reaches an internal temperature of 210 degrees. Remove bread from pan and cool on a rack.

Yield: 1 loaf.

Dear Gov. Palin, Dear Senator McCain,

Given your presidential aspirations & knowing how you feel about talking to the press, would you mind answering some queries from the general public?

White box a Mac? So, I dunno how green it is, but the word "Peachy!" comes to mind. Of course the real question is, when is the dongle for a laptop, coming out?
I think the other question is, where does something like this lay down, when it comes to virus control? If they machine were to be used, for example, as a (software) router via the Mac, would this protect the machine in fact, from viruses?
As for actually "Greening" their machines, Macintosh clearly charges enough for them to do real quality control at their factories, and then simply build the boxes to be returned to Apple for recycling. They need to beef up their program a bit.

And last but not least: Shrill. Shrill is not a word one wants to bandy about, it is, like B-, one which lowers the conversation to the nastiest bit of business, it's a clear way of bringing up gender, because rarely, if ever, no really, does anyone call a guy "Shrill." It's seriously negative, and the writer at least, while slamming the Republicans and taking Gov. Palin to task, is actually using the word to refer to a spokesperson, not the Govenor.
Shrill? No one would have aimed that one at Hilary, so you know this is a call out to the voter base to recheck their glee and presumptions.
Still, it's a bit of nastiness I just can't get behind, though one has to grit through it because at least the call out, is for honesty.

What do you think of the McCain/Palin ticket?

Personally, I'd love to see a blog against Obama/Biden, too. Note that I'm voting for the Obama/Biden ticket, because I can not in good conscience vote for McCain. Gov. Palin doesn't enter into it for me, though given what I've read, I wouldn't vote for her either, even though I do tend to vote for women, all things being equal, because I want to see the balance of power shifted. Palin doesn't represent a shift I would vote for, so she's a non-issue to me in this regard.
» Librarian notes "Palin was rough on her"
And so, she has no interest in revisiting that time in her life...

Personally, I can go with the story that says Palin was simply asking a procedural question about the banning of books, hey, perhaps she's against the banning of books and we just need to get her a mic so she can say so.

But then, why would she give a librarian, a hard time?

Hmm.
Seriously, have you looked up the churches which Palin attends?
Small things, you know, like sinners will face off against Christ and his Saints, to burn for eternity in a lake of fire.

Oh, I know, you think, I'm kidding. Someone should ask her which of the 16 pillars of this church, did she reject when moving to her smaller, more affluent church, when she started her ascent into politics.
