• 18:07 Downtown Disney. We didn't make it here during the honeymoon. Big place! We're catching a movie and then to the airport. Anna's almost here!

• 12:42 At the FL DMV to get the car registered. Now this is more like it. About 28 people in line ahead of us. A new driver license only took 5min!
• 18:23 At the Enzian Theater in Orlando for Vertigo. The seating is comfortable but location, meh. Gary has never seen this before, so, cool!

• 13:09 FL license for the win! And I didn't even need a certified birth certificate from mom. Thanks anyway, mom!

• 10:15 At the new apartment, about to take a tour of the place. So far it looks really nice!
• 21:10 Just finished first grocery trip. Everything is so much cheaper here! What would prob. be $150 in CA is $85 here. Unbelievable.

• 08:32 Went to Waffle House last night, everyone everyone watched Gary and I try grits for the first time at 1am last night. Now to Savannah!
• 08:34 PS I still haven't tried anything with Georgia peaches. Will get something in Savannah. Missed the Gone w/the Wind stuff @Atlanta. Bummer.
• 17:04 Just dipped my toes into the Atlantic Ocean @ the Florida coastline for the first time. The softest sand I can recall. We're here!
• 22:31 Hotel in Orlando didn't tell us about limited check-in time when making reservations. Drove around for 1hr to find a place to stay. Pissed!

• 11:17 At the GA Aquarium. A woman in the bathroom wouldn't end her cell phone call so I made fart noises until she was so embarrassed she hung up!
• 16:46 In Buford GA to see a flick on IMAX. Tomorrow, off to Savannah, then ORLANDO finally! Hearing lots of different languages here. Diversity!
• 19:21 Eagle Eye: A movie to make you unreasonably paranoid, one cellphone and CCTV at a time. Cool: saw Super Kamiokande Conductor. Lame: casting.
• 00:02 Decided on a double feature: Lakeview Terrace. Turned out totally different than what I was expecting. Heeby-Jeebies award goes to Sam L!
• 00:05 By the way - the gas shortage on the outskirts of Atlanta almost bit us in the ass. 10 stations all closed - no gas. Scary at 2am & lost.

• 07:42 Now in Alabama. I slept SO GOOD last night. World's most comfortable motel bed has been found, and it is in Meridian MS at the Rodeway Inn.
• 10:41 I guess I should check out that movie "Talladega Nights". Because we are here in Talladega at the Superspeedway. This place is huge!
• 15:43 Glad we stuck around in AL. Saw the DeSoto Caverns. Had a great tour guide that really made the place. A shout out to Scott if he's reading.
• 22:29 In Atlanta now. Eastern time zone - I can't believe the trip is already drawing to a close. Atlanta has so far been my least favorite.

• 09:12 Texas: The Drab Tour Part 2. In rural TX passing through the towns of Fuck-All and God-Knows-Where. The Austin honeymoon is over. Booooo.
• 14:02 Shreveport LA. Dad said that we can see fireflies if we stop in the right spot - middle of nowhere in the dark, by the water. I'm gonna try!
• 15:36 My goodness. This drive through Louisiana is so dull and hot I almost fell asleep driving. Gary is taking over now. Yay Gary! ZZzzz
• 18:13 Went to the riverboat Casino in Vicksburg MS. Spent a whole $2. Whoopiteedoo. Just for the experience. Now we're off again to better things.
• 22:05 Midnight. Stopping for sleep in Meridian, MS. Gary finally got to try a Waffle House for the "culture". Tomorrow: Atlanta, GA and Savannah.

• 12:01 At the IMAX theater in San Antonio. Nice and cool in here. Saw The Alamo! Took a trolley tour! Going on the Riverwalk boat tour! AAAWWESOME!
• 21:19 Just saw Burn After Reading at the Ritz Alamo Drafthouse Theater. An experience like no other. Amazing. I could live here just for movies.
• 22:20 Highland Lanes Bowling was cool. Had some White Russians as a tribute to "the Dude". Actually beat Gary at the game! Arthritis ...
• 22:21 Just got into the hotel. It's a nice spacious room and OH GOD COCKROACH

• 09:07 Had tequila sunrises and sarsaparillas at Big Nose Kate's Saloon in Tombstone. Saw a mean drunk get kicked out by a "whore", then arrested.
• 11:22 Just drove past The Continental Divide. Cool! Other than that, NM is way boring. Stopping next in Las Cruces for Whataburger.
• 14:51 El Paso, TX. Still on I-10 East. Can see Mexico from here. Bought new sandals - cool feet FTW.
• 18:19 Stopped @ Fort Stockton for dinner. Speed limit has been 80 most of the way! Crossed through 2 time zones all at once. Nothing for miles.

• 09:57 Just got coffee and breakfast. On the way to Calico / Barstow to see the ghost town and lunch at a 50s diner. I miss Anna.

• 14:38 There is $6M in silver in the Calico mtns. Unfortunately, the cost to mine it and process it would cost $10M. Might as well stick w/lottery!
• 18:28 There is apparently no "Welcome to Arizona" sign on this route. Nor is there a "Good Riddance! And stay out!" From California.

In Other News:
Today my people are interviewing a bushel of applicants for someone to work with me at the office. An assistant! What a relief. It has been very busy there since the beginning, I am so happy that the end of the stressful days is nigh. Now I can concentrate on more important things. Like... Hmm getting more work done in a shorter period of time. Well that's about it, I am posting this from my blackberry in the car while Gary drives me to work. Arrivaderci!

The Battle For Endor is one of my favorite movies from my childhood.  I watched this movie so many times that the video cassette eventually wore out.  But now it's on DVD!  And my daughter gets to enjoy it with me.
