Xeni Jardin:
Google has launched Google Maps, a DHTML-driven, map-making engine that pans smoothly and zooms with ease. Other features: directions, business locator, and zero ads (for the time being, at least). Link. It does not suck at all. (Thanks, Greg Brown)

Since updating my Movable Type installation last month and adding a new look to my primary site (http://www.elfintech.com/reflection/) , the plug-in I used to use to mirror that blog to LJ has been spotty. I've continued to work on it, and even thought a few days ago that I had it working again (hence, the backlog of posts from January that suddenly showed up here), but it's just not compatible with another plug-in I use to consolidate my other feeds into my MT site. When I want to mirror to LJ, I have to log onto my server and physically rename the separate plug-in files temporarily (in order to turn one off and the other on), and then name them back afterwards. It's a big hassle, so for the time being I'm not going to be updating the LJ mirror.
