Woo, yay, getting there!

I got my jewellery yesterday, its so totally not what I was expecting to get but its wonderful :D Graeme and Fenn sorted out the boys outfits for which I am eternally grateful, although for some reason I'm not allowed to see them. For anyone else who has been married/knows someone close who got married, did people keep as many secrets from the bride as are being kept from me? I don't know what the cars like, where we're going on honeymoon, what the big boys are wearing OR the wee boys. And apparently theres a couple more surprises which I have no clue about. Ach well, I suppose it makes it a bit more exciting.

Going to meet the registrar on friday (9.30), I have to remember to ask her if the photographer can take pictures during the ceremony.

Well yesterday was the official 6 week mark. Eek! In a couple of weeks the photographer is doing an informal family photo shoot which my mum arranged as a warm up to the wedding. Although I've only spoken to him on the phone he seems really really nice and friendly.

Tuesday we have a meeting with the wedding dude at Castle Scary to discuss the last minute thingies for the venue and meal. Also checked the wedding lists today and we have our first wedding pressie ordered :D :D hee hee. Ooh its so exciting.

The bridesmaids dresses are finally getting there. Hopefully Jennifer and maybe even Sarah's will be ready to be fitted by friday.

My dress has gone all wierd on me, my chest area has shrunk down to nothing :'( chicken fillets a go go.

Stewart has finally sorted out what hes wearing, him and the rest of the lads went for their fittings yesterday. So, basically, we're getting there :D

Last night me, Stewart and my mother met with the wedding organiser dude at the hotel to discuss the wedding meal. Stewart got totally carried away with it all and we are now having 4 choices for the main course.

Y'know what? I can't be arsed with this now. bloody LJ.

FUCKER! I just sat and updated what happened when we went to the venue last night and somehow managed to shut down livejournal. And the saved draft was ONE BLOODY SENTENCE! FUCK livejournal and FUCK firefox.

Okay, today i went and tried on wedding dresses. Did a proper update about it in my personal journal. I am fairly certain we will now need to alter the plans for the dress.

On saturday I am going back with my mum and sisters to try it on again and some others. Also going to see a lady about the flowers in the afternoon.

Apart from that, the major things needing done in the next month or two are:
♥ Pay registrar
♥ Finish paying for venue
♥ Book flowers

Once I have got those ticked off I will start thinking about other stuff.

Well, this weekend me and Fenn went and got some fabric samples for my dress. I found some really lovely silk dupion (whatever that means) so I think I will get my skirt in that - my aunt is making all 4 dresses. I also managed to get a colour sample for the BM's dresses, although we couldn't see the right type of material - at least now I have something to colour match with.

Also got a bit of good news last week - since I started working last year I have been on a Basic Rate tax code (blissfully unaware) and my manager noticed this last month, so we have sorted it all out meaning I should get a tax rebate this month or next in my wages - so thats a wee bit of extra cash to go towards the wedding plans.

I still feel incredibly un-organised.

Just under 8 months to go - what should I be thinking about next? I feel like I am getting all bogged down in the small things I don't have to worry about til closer to the time and forgetting about the big things I should be organising well in advance.
