As a rape survivor and someone who has worked with others when I was with the police, I find it very disturbing that LiveJournal/SixApart did a blank removal of several hundred journals that had the words 'rape' and 'incest' in them, many of them being survivor journals/communities. While many of the journals deleted were overdue for a good deletion, many more were deleted without proper investigation into the contents. I want those survivor journals back. I may not need them anymore, but how many others do need that support, that isn't there anymore? Overreaction seems to be in order.

If you watch anything this year, watch "Funland," a British film noir. It grabs you and won't let you go until it's 1:30 in the morning and you have to get up at 7 so that Mr. Ginger can get on the road to Montreal for a table hockey tournament. It really is that good.

Thieves swipe medals from veteran's room
This gets to me, because he flew in a Lancaster like my grandfather did in the war. And it makes me think what would happen if this happened to him? I mean, it wouldn't just be his medals and the picture of him getting his Sergeant stripes, but it would be his brother Kenneth's medals as well, and his picture. That's all he has left of him.
I hope they find the fuckers.
