I cam into work struggling to find something to do, and in 15 mins i head out to chase brush fires in palm coast.

Went to dealer, test drove a really REALLY nice caliber with more features/bells and whistles than jeep has, and a grand cheaper than what i bought jeep for. sales guy put in the deal. and the most he could get for my 1 year old 3500 miles on it jeep was 12,225. so to get the caliber i'd be in the hole a bit over 9k. there was one way i coulda gotten the difference removed- put 1000 down and have almost $600 payments. so it wasnt impossible just way out of my range, to get what i wanted. So looks like unless the dealer i got it from can pull out a miracle i'll be keeping the jeep. I'm a little disappointed, but not entirely surprised.

I've sent this note to a bunch of dealers around here:

"I JUST bought a 2007 jeep compass 4x4 as brand new, march 1st from greenway. It has 3600 miles on it, Just got 1st oil change and nitrofill in the tires. Im not happy with its fuel mileage, as well as its not eligible for the $2.99 gas promo. I'm looking to trade it for a 08 Caliber or compass, WITHOUT loosing any money/features, If you can do anything for me like that, drop me a line. "

I do like my jeep, but i frankly just bought it at the wrong damn time. its mileage is maybe 19-21 city. A 08caliber is cheaper in price, gets 24 mpg city , is eligible for the $2.99/gal gas deal chyrsler is doing now. AND the cargo space is pretty close to the same as my jeep is anyways. Now i'm ONLY going to make a deal if they meet my criteria. Otherwise i'll just keep the jeep. I'm an educated buyer who knows what he wants, I Will get it, or will stay where i am.

got 2 calls so far. one from another dealer, other from my dealer

Only good thig to happen so far today is $600 stimlus payment hit my bank acct. and thats going right toward my car payments

You know the feeling of staying til 4am to make sure something at work goes right, and looks good to impress boss? Well i had that feeling til about 20 mins ago. I stayed at work to finish a program that had to be done for today. I finished it and sent it away to where it needed to go. boss just called me, and somehow one clip's audio got out of sync somehow in my last draft of the thing. The drafts before it looks fine they say, so i dont know what happened cuz i diddn't catch it, or why they had to wake me up to tell me, now im mad. I had to go abck and forth getting footage at the news station 3 times, when they wouldnt listen to me when i told them i had it already. I'm off today, my coworker is redoing that one part, but in general it just sucks that the software somehow knocked that one clip out of sync. I diddnt bother to scan through the clip since it looked fine up til that point. * pulls hair out*

but if it did, it'd be the mail man, since federal overides state. Just a hypothetical thing to make ya think.

Work went alright, i talked to bosses, seem like i'm ok with them, i just gotta really be careful now not to do that again. Other than an odd schedule i'll have this week, tis about all to worry about.

I got a good amount of sleep. I love sleeping in til 10am....Is what i was thinking til i realized"OH SHIT! ITS SUNDAY!"
I must not have set my alarm last night.
Yeah i turned on my tv channel and sure enough it was sitting ona dvd play screen. I raced to work, supervisor called me while almost there to check on me. I apologized, and she diddnt seem overly mad, but i'm sure i'll find out any punishment tomorrow. This comes off me pulling a good week/weekend last week, so I at least have that going for me. I expect at least a good yelling at, we'll see.

edit2: figured it out. : i had counted a few folks multiple times since they have multiple LJs, also counted myself and other journals on some of them cuz i thought it was funny(really!!).Then turely thought about expirences with some people to think of how far things actually went, diddn't realize how skewed it make things... here: i'm not that bad!!

SO i'm running a program on drug abuse prevention and peer pressure today. I wonder if my boss scheduled it on purpose or not, but i'll be too afraid to ask.

hmmph. car needed 3 calibration updates to its computer. odd fix for a light coming on, but it was fine driving home at least.

ya know work are a little rough so im deciding to forgo some overtime and take tomorrow off. So i make the call, head home and then on way home check engine light randomly pops on while i accelerate, but turns off as i slow down and while im stopped. if i accelerate fast it goes on, if i go slow it seems ok. How convieient. i get to spent my day off getting this looked into now.

welp. since getting back from MP, i been super busy. Had a few folks in town still after mp to entertain/hang with. As well as my co-worker gone on vacation for 12 days. So i been picking up his 2pm-10pm shifts. Then work as has some productions pop in last min. so my freelancer was pulled to do them, so i getting overtime. Lots of stuff to do that me and boss used to share. i been doing well with few screw ups.
I've booked tickets and registered for califur, mainly going to see my special someone... as well as see a small con besides MP for a change. then a visitor or two in june for my birthday is in order i think.

ok MSn is working again, dunno what that was about. MP went 10x better than i was expecting. lots of cool folks. all events seemed to move well. I'm happy with it. Jeep is fixed, i put 500 miles on the loaner car while i had it, and its filthy from the road trip- they gonna hate meeee. but all is well today just waiting for cable guy to fix lines so things dont crap out as they were.
