"Since gin to artifice bears the same relation as tears to mascara, her attractions at once dissembled."

I went to the show on Saturday. They had a whole cage of pheasants there.

Aren't these little guys amazing? )

It's good to see everyone again. Tell me something lovely. Please?

Did you ever want to be overrun by bandits? To hand over all of your things and start over new?

I have returned from obscurity. Briefly.

  • 2006 was a weird year from the time the clock struck midnight on January 1st. It was a good year, though.

  • I have a feeling that this one won't be as smooth. I need to be ready for that.

  • Spent some time with family, some with friends. Ran around at the beach on new year's eve. Spent time in the sun. I'm a little brown.

  • New year's resolution: Don't fuck up.

Now I'm back and I have research to do, and assignment to complete, plans to write, a resume to revise and a job to get. In that order. Completing these tasks is part of Not Fucking Up.

My book list for the year goes here. I was 12 short in 2006.

She said 'your allegory is far too blunt'

So yeah. I'm not around much. I doubt many people noticed. But it's almost Christmas now and this has to be one of the more interesting years on record for me and yeah.

Finished semester, there was a scholarship and a boy and baggage and family and a job search and most of those are still around in one capacity or another and now it's Christmas and usually Christmas strikes me as a huge disappointment but I think this year it might not suck completely.

I hope everyone is well.

I'm fairly sure one of my fish is dying. I almost feel compelled to wait up for her, so she doesn't float there while I'm asleep. This is deeply depressing.
