I spent most of the weekend in my parents' kitchen. My father purchased a book of recipes and various cooking supplies. Since the book was primarily in French and English, my mother could barely read it without my help. She gave up during the simple hors d'oeuvres recipe, but on my own I managed to make:
Fraises Glacées Chantilly
-strawberries with rasberry purée and cream
Entrecôte au Beurre d'Olives et aux Echalotes Rôties
-Grilled Steak with Roasted Shallots and Olive Butter
Gâteau au Chocolate et aux Poires
- Chocolate and Pear Cake
We were to entertain guests, but at the last minute they were unable to make it. I brought the cake and strawberries back to the dormitory with me, if anyone is interested.
