I can feel it - the turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour and the entire planet is hurtling around the Sun at sixty-seven thousand miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me. Clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go.... That's who I am.

Head up Billy-buddy, there’s no time for mercy
Look at these people, amazing how sheep’ll show up for the slaughter. No one condemning you. Lined up like lemmings, you're led to the water. Why can’t they see what I see? Why can’t they hear the lies? Maybe the fee’s too pricey for them to realize your disguise is slipping? I think you’re slipping.

Just... yeah...

Captain America?
Ok this 'John Barrowman as Captain America' thing has to stop. Now.

I love the man. Everyone knows how much I love him. Love/adore/worship his awesomeness. But I honestly think that he will never be Captain America. He just... no. Sorry. I genuinely believe that it would be the biggest mistake in the history of ever.

I preferred the 'Leo DiCaprio as Captain America' rumours to be honest.

However, I do seem to be the only one on the face of the planet (apart from Sam) that thinks its all a bad idea.

Of course I may be slightly bias right now, but Aaron Eckhart for Captain America? :-D (HA! HE TOTALLY COULD!!)

You either die a hero...
I'm finally getting to see Dark Knight on Saturday with [info]spike66. I'm really looking forward to it and I've been super good at skipping past everyone's reviews (so prepare to link them to me when I squeal on Saturday night)

My flist has been quite focused when it comes to this movie. It's all been about Christian and Heath. Which is fine, y'know? The joker and batman. (For the record, all the talk about a posthumous Oscar is starting to bug me. I just... I don't know. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it (especially as I can't judge yet) but it just seems to me that it's been hyped up because of the nature and timing of his death and because of the nature of his final role. I honestly believe there wouldn't be such a buzz about it if he had died after completing a less prominent movie. Sorry but that's just how I feel. Also... read this BBC review about the movie (no spoilers) and even they bring up a good point. They think Bale outdid Ledger in the acting corner but is being overshadowed purely because of Ledger's death.)

Anyway, I digress. This post was to say that, although I'm excited to see the movie and eager to see how fantastic Bale and Ledger is (Gary Oldman will be awesome anyway. Because he's Gary Oldman), I am most looking forward to the performance of one Mr Aaron Eckhart. I know I've not been so squeeful about this movie in my journal. But when the buzz started, all I wanted to do was flail about Aaron playing Harvey Dent. And then I just never did for some reason.

By the way (and because I know it will make [info]sovietkiki happy if I say it out loud) I will say that Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face in Batman Forever absolutely kills me. I love that movie for both he and Jim Carrey alone. They CRACK me up! But this Harvey Dent... Nolan's Harvey Dent.. jesus.. I'm fucking excited!

Community pimpage
Once again I went searching for a community and couldn't find what I was looking for. Are there no collective Joss Whedon graphics communities? As in, one for all his stuff rather than show specific?

Anyway I created one. And it's for everything Joss... so Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Dollshouse and of course, Doctor Horrible.

Of course it's more than likely there is a community and I couldn't see it. *eyeroll*

But yeah.. join/friend/pimp! :-D

I just stole fifty cars in one night! I'm a little tired, little wired...
... and I think I deserve a little appreciation.

I'm going to share a fact with you guys. Now some of you may already know this but most of you won't. Oh and I know most of you will pull a face and go 'ew' because somehow I've managed to acquire a flist full of people who ferociously disagree with me on this point... lol.

I. LOVE. NICOLAS CAGE.

There we go. I said it.

Seriously, I adore the guy. I know he's kinda funny looking (fact: both my sister and I have fancied him something rotten for years) and he's no super exceptional actor but there is something about him that's kept me watching his movies. He's like this weird kind of crack. He's... watchable. And.. I find his voice quite sexy.

Stop looking at me like that.

Ok so... my top five Nic Cage movies.

Raising Arizona : The hair. The dodgy facial hair. The sheer adorable dorkiness. LOVE!

The Rock : Ok yeah I freakin' LOVE this movie! Cage's jittering and nervous Stanley Goodspeed against Sean Connery's cool and calm John Mason just kills me. I love how they play off each other. Also it has the added bonus of Ed Harris, David Morse and Michael Biehn.

Stanley: You've been around a lot of corpses. Is that normal?
John: What, the feet thing?
Stanley: Yeah, the feet thing.
John: Yeah, it happens.
Stanley: Well I'm having a hard time concentrating. Can you do something about it?
John: Like what, kill him again?

Gone in Sixty Seconds : I have no real excuse for this. I love the movie. It's got fast cars and a cast of people I love (Giovanni Ribisi, Angelina Jolie, Scott Caan, Will Patton, Timothy Olyphant and Christopher Ecclescake) Oh and I would do Memphis Raines in a heartbeat.

Guarding Tess : Secret Service agent Doug Chesnic dislikes having to guard Tess Carlisle who is the widow of a former U.S. President. Unfortunately she likes having him around and requests him to be made permanent. Because she's a close friend of the current President, she gets her way and makes Doug's life hell (although not on purpose... she's just a pain in the ass). This movie always cracks me up. And Shirley MacLaine is fantastic!

Con Air : "PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX!" The arm muscle means I can almost forgive the bad hair.

Oh and because I can't stick to five, I'll give a quick list of my other favourites.

Face/Off : Dude. I adore this movie.

National Treasure : Well... yeah. And also.. Justin Bartha <3

Ghost Rider : Don't laugh. This movie was fantastically AWFUL and I love it. Nic Cage... leather... muscles... motorbike... I die. Oh and Donal Logue to sweeten the deal.

The Ant Bully : Technically he's only a voice. And did I mention I love his voice? But his character does crack me up.

I feel better now.
