| | ZZ Top still rocks | ] | It's been over a year since I have entered anything in the journal - just found my way here again - after job transfer, relocation and hard drive crash which wiped out most of my info - good thing I did back up some stuff on cd's. We moved to Phoenix (Az) last August from Illinois. I keep going in the wrong direction - one day back to Carolina. Dry Heat my xxx. Got here during monsoon season: days up to 115 degrees+, dust storms, torrential downpours, flooding - then started all over again the next day. Monsoon season finally passed and things got better. Can't complain today - just bought and planted some plants this morning - MID DECEMBER - cold today though - high only in upper 60's. Sorry about that for you folks in the Mid West and East. Happy Holidays and Cheers. |

Wolfpack Holds Off Wake Forest, 27-21, In OT ==============================================
Bad News:
Braves End Cubs' Dim Playoff Hopes CHICAGO (AP) -- Now make it 59 years without a World Series appearance by the Chicago Cubs. A season that started with such high hopes for the Cubs wound up with them being eliminated from playoff contention by their fifth straight loss, 8-6 to the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.
(After leading 6-2 most of the game and 6-5 going into the 8th - so much for great pitching) ==========================================================================================================
Could be worse:
Robo-ducks gone in Ark. Arkansas wildlife officials recently voted to ban battery-powered, spinning-winged decoys -- generically known as robo-ducks -- after this hunting season. |
