response for a walmart post
Public
hey everyone, i am sooo excited that i received a response from a walmart troll. i posted this blog a looong time ago and now someone has responed. i posted their response with some of mine.
djsquared
Hello, I recently saw your blog and would like to encourage you to take a step back and really examine what this movie tells you and what it dosent tell you. Walmart does pay their employees on average a dollar below the national average for retail sales workers, that one dollar. The national average for retail is $9.50 walmarts average is 8.50$ and hour. Thats 40 dollars a week or about 1500 dollars a year after taxes, that not a huge difference. Also, the film does not mention the fat that these employees are not forced to work at walmart, just like people who work at mcdonalds are not forced to work there. Last year the average application pool for a opening walmart was 8000 applicants for 554 jobs. Obviously the people applying to walmart are not that concerned with the lack in pay. And now for the most disturbing fact that this movie leaves out. The movie attacks walmart for making healthcare unaffordable and forcing its employees to apply for medicaid. The movie states that 5% of walmart employees are on medicaid. This is ONLY 1% point above the national average for retail employers which is 4%. Also the movie does not point out that Walmart for many, is responsible for providing low income, blue collar working class famalies low prices. The american populations on average per year saves 200 billion dollars by shopping at walmart as opposed to other stores with higher prices. Walmart is no saint of a company but they are no worse than any other large corporation in america. Dont be ignorant, do some research before you back a documentary.
ok let's take a look at your response and by the way it is going to be one long response:
"Walmart does pay their employees on average a dollar below the national average for retail sales workers, that one dollar."
ok, what is walmart's revenue compared to the average retail sales? what walmart pays is called minimum wage. walmart makes over ten, TEN, 10, and in case you missed it, TEN billion dollars in profit a year. also, there have been many lawsuits settled, look them up yourself, where walmart has not paid employees: time worked and overtime. since you are about statistics, please average in the amounts not paid and then we go way below the "national average." am i correct on this?
"The national average for retail is $9.50 walmarts average is 8.50$ and hour."
do you know, am i am sure that you are a walmart troll, that when walmart averages it's wages per hour that they include management's salary? sooo, when they average all of the slaries, included are all of the six figures that all of management makes. plus the unpaid hours and overtime.
"Also, the film does not mention the fat that these employees are not forced to work at walmart, just like people who work at mcdonalds are not forced to work there."
actually, the film, that would be fact not "fat," mentions that when walmart wipes out all of the businesses from a small town this is the only place that someone can get a job.
"This is ONLY 1% point above the national average for retail employers which is 4%."
ok, when walmart is the second largest employer next to the federal government how do these stats apply? do not apply them to the national average, the national average is just that, the number of employees in the us. for an accurate number of people take the number of employees that walmat has and apply it.
"The american populations on average per year saves 200 billion dollars by shopping at walmart as opposed to other stores with higher prices."
wrong and ridiculous $200 billion. if your are not a troll, then you mixed up mommmy and daddy's conversation. please show me your source.
"Walmart is no saint of a company but they are no worse than any other large corporation in america. Dont be ignorant, do some research before you back a documentary."
actually, i have done research and i will stick to my original post. tell you what, if you want, i host a radio show and i would love for you to be on it. respond to this and i will give you an email address that we can exchange phone numbers for you to be on my show. what leads me to believe that your are a walmart troll.... is the fact that you do not address the taxpayer subsidizing the building of walmarts, the sweatshop issues, and all of the research done on the corporate welfare that walmart exploits. i think that true ignorance begins with your response.

what's up everybody, djsquared has not posted in a long time. today i will discuss the walmart movie. i am honored to have teamed up with the San Diego Indendent Media Center, http://www.sandiego.indymedia.org, in screening Robert Greewald's newest documentary titled, "WalMart: The High Cost of Low Prices." this is the same cat that did Outfoxed. for all of y'all that haven't heard of this movie it is being screened grassroot style across the nation. please visit http://www.walmartmovie.com to check out all the stuff and local screenings. walmart is evil and there is a campaign to bring out the truth about all the shit they do and how the workers pay dearly and we do as a society. check out http://www.wakeupwalmart.com to see what is up. this website will offer a bunch to people that want to participate in the campaign. sign up to adopt a walmart or site fights. might as well throw in www.walmartwatch.com for more info on one of the most evil companies to ever exist. evil because they don't respect anything. they don't respect the workers, gender, race, environment, they just want profit. might just do things in the future focusing on certain subjects. don't know yet. if anyone decides to go to a screening, please bring a friend. everyone knows someone that shops there and doesn't care. watching this movie can make a difference, but by becoming involved in the campaign, we can send a message to the fascists that run the company/country that we will not stand for this. it is not right and change needs to happen. quoting a speaker at last night's event, "the workers are scared." they have no voice and we need to step up and be their voice. think about it.

the fact that the bushies are in the pockets of the oil companies + the fact that people still defend him and ignore the truth = minorities, poor whites, elderly, dying in hurricanes, starving and coming this winter freezing to death. gas prices are still rising with natural gas prices being predicted to be at record highs. some estimates are that some bills will be possiby reaching $1,000 per month for some people this winter. for the elderly this will mean how would you like to die this winter? no heat or no medications. but i feel better knowing that the stockholders and ceo's of exxon/mobil had a record quarter. way to go guys!!!

chief justice...nothing chief nor justice
Public
hey yall, well today the senate confirmed roberts as the chief justice. sorry for no caps, but i am done with them. anytime there is a conservative added to the supreme court WE ALL should be worried. this is how i will now use caps. we traded one for one...neo con that is. so this worries me, but does not alarm me. what alarms me is that twenty two out of forty four democrats vote for roberts. although they do not have the majority, why oh why would they vote to confirm him? http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/29/roberts.nomination/index.html even outnumbered, they should still be fighting. the roberts fool, didn't answer questions leaving people to wonder where he stands on certain issues. with the bushies, our rights are in question
the next confirmation will be the one that the dems in the senate better fight for. if another conservative bushie is confirmed we can all kiss our rights to anything good bye, adios, you get the picture. the bushies have ignored the constitution, surpressed the voice of the people, and let people of color die. they have no concern for the people. they took the last two elections, so we have known that they have never believed in the rights offered to the citizens of this nation. the bushies know that they need to have a court that will support their policies and the policies of future neocon administrations. so my people, please go to sleep tonight and rest, because the end is near and we will need our strength for the revolution to come. there is one coming and we need it. peace, djsquared

More Katrina
Public
Hey everyone, It has been awhile since the blogging bug has bit. Actually, the bush administrations lack of anything is too intense, so immense that there is just too much stuff happening. Check out two of my past shows on Katrina. http://radio.indymedia.org/news/2005/09/6593.php and http://radio.indymedia.org/news/2005/09/6715.php. I was driving to work this morning and while listening to the Stacy Taylor show, heard locally on air america. While waiting for a comercial break to finish, I decided to listen to the always arrogant, always asshole, and always racist right wing talk show host, rick roberts. I believe that I should listen to the other side to hear the spin, lies, and the neocon kool-aid. This always tends to upset me and inspires me to write on the blogitty blogitty. Today no different. Katrina is still in the media and should be reported on. The worst natural disaster to strike the us uncovered the bushies inability to protect its own citizens. Also, uncovered was the racism, color and class based, that has always existed in this country. The media is currently covering this, but not like it should be. What viewers get is the watered down version. The version meant to distract and divert the attention of the american people. There is still an invasion in Iraq and there are two seats up for grabs on the supreme court. john roberts doesn't like to answer questions, but bush is in the Gulf Coast. I don't know why people don't get it. Now back to rick roberts. What his show was dealing with was what I believe will be the next neocon phase dealing with Katrina. The shifting of blame. Let's be honest, this was all due to the bushies. They cut funding, the sent troops trained for hurricane disaters to the invasion, and they just left people to die. roberts is now calling the Mayor, Ray Nagin, the "town clown." roberts focused on Nagins "lack" of experience. roberts went down a list and ended it with "Nagin was elected mayor and then people died." What roberts and his talking points robots do is try and repeat lies so that the kool-aid drinkers believe it is the truth. Why didn't roberts look at former fema chief brownies resume? Here is why: http://www.arabianhorses.org/about.asp This is the organization that brownie was fired from. his main job was to set up and organize horse shows. If brownie can't organize a horse show, how is he going to organize fema and mobilize help that was and still is needed? What about homeland security leader chertoff? Former lawyer is in charge of homeland security which has swallowed fema. How will an attorney ensure "that emergency response professionals are prepared for any situation. This will entail providing a coordinated, comprehensive federal response to any large-scale crisis and mounting a swift and effective recovery effort." (Taken directly from the department of homeland securtiy website http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/display?theme=63). These two men have no experience, the only thing that they have in common is that they are connected to bush. Then a caller on his show stated that there is racism, but it is reverse racism. Nagin was voted as mayor because of his skin color. The large black population elected a black mayor and this is the only reason he won. roberts then stated that people like Nagin, Jesse Jackson, and Maxine Waters like to ignore education in low income areas. By keeping the constituents "dumbed down," roberts exact words, they are able to stay in office. roberts stated that if people of color were more educated that there would be no need for people like Nagin, Jackson, and Waters. Sorry rick, if all people were educated there would no need for people like you. Reverse racism is not what is happening. It is just racism. bush left people to die. Black and white and the main thing is that they were all poor. Nagin did react and trusted the bushies when they said they would help. It was five days before anyone reacted. Listen to this interview of David Perez, a san diego businessman, that has personally helped the hurricane victims. Yes rick, you stated that Katrina hit other parts of the the country, but what you failed to state is that they are being ingored also. Here is the interview http://www.am1360klsd.com/timages/page/media/KLSD_David_Perez.mp3
So this is what I will leave you with today. The right is now trying to put the blame on the Mayor and on the residents themselves. Basically what rick roberts said was that the residents of New Orleans were too stupid to vote for their own best interests and this is why they died. rick roberts you are the idiot for lying and defending a president and administration that could not look beyond class and color and left people to die.

Now some politico stuff about Katrina...
Public
Hola, My first post was just asking help and now is the time for the questions that have been raised. If I would address everything, then this would be a really really really really long blog. What the World has seen and will be asking is that if democracy is so great, then why were the poor left behind? In our current america, the gap between those that have and those that don't have is increasing by the minute. What we have seen after Katrina is the way things have always been. The poor in america have nothing. No hope, no money, no way to get "ahead." I put the word ahead in quotes because it does not mean that people want to be ceo's or king of the world. This means that they would like a decent wage, decent housing, decent education for their children, just a decent life. This is something that should be attainable in the "greatest" nation in the world, but it is not. In this country, democracy is capitalism and nothing else. We have seen that workers, the general public, are replaceable and that any company can find someone willing to work for low wages at any time (walmart). This is the way that it is now set up. These are the "forgotten" people. People that are ignored in today's society, people that are seen everyday on the street, and at their jobs. With this coverage of america's worst natural disaster, these "forgotten" people now have faces. When bush is now using oil as the reason to stay in Iraq, the use of giving democracy takes on a whole new meaning. When the whole world sees the people that were abandoned, then what the fuck does that mean to them? haliburton rules the world right now. Where was haliburton during this disaster? In Iraq making billions and billions of dollars. Billions that would have saved the people that have died and continue to die while I update this blog. bush, cheney, and rice, have a good night, because those that are floating in the flood waters dead, those with limbs sticking out of the mud, and those that are being eaten by rats are now resting in peace. Go to sleep tonight knowing that you did all that could be done. peace, djsquared

blog...blog...blog... Oh what do I do..
Public
Que Pasa,
Wasn't ready to blog, blogitty blog. Wasn't ready for the blogdiggity, but changed my mind. Still on my mind is Cindy Sheehan. Just wants a question answered. Would like for troops to be pulled out, would like bush to quit. This is not shocking, because we all want the same thing to happen. So why Cindy again? Every time I look into her eyes, I see a mother that is wondering why her son died. There is soooooo much pain in her eyes that it saddens me. To think that there have been over 1800 families in Iraq and over 200 families in Afganistan and the thousands of families in Irag that are going through the same feelings sickens me and quite frankly pisses me off. Who is america to impose what we "believe" is freedom? Who is america that thinks that we are superior than everyone else on the world?
Kinda started with the "Wilsonian" thought on the world. Please, if I am wrong correct me. Prez Wilson believed that the united states was far superior than the rest of the world. Superior in intellect and morally superior. Because the u.s. was morally superior, it was the job of the u.s. to patrol and help out "less" superior countries. It was the "moral" obligation of the u.s. to do it. It has evolved and been bastardized by the neocons. bush wouldn't know moral, noble, or christian if it was written in a speech for him. Opps, already has and he still doesn't know it.
So now in 2005, where are the neocons at? They believe that they are the "morally" and "intellectual" superiors of not only the u.s., but the entire world. They have proven this recently, just pick up a newspaper. There is corruption in this administration, there are idiots in the white house, and morally speaking look to pat robertson for an example.
Cindy Sheehan is being assaulted from all neocon angles. The latest is from the far right reaching deep into their "intellectual" line up. They bring in their best of the best. One known as ann coulter. I believe that she should star in a reality show with anna nicole smith and it should be titled "dumb and coulter." coulter not only attacks Cindy Sheehan, but also insults all New Yorkers (http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/08/25.html#a4633). To call New Yorkers cowards should be treason. To this day I still am in awe of a city that withstood this attack. Where coulter stated that she would like to see Cindy Sheehan's bus tour in the south, then I challenge her to now walk the streets of New York. Here is where bush and every other neocon tries to take the invasion of Iraq. Iraq needed to be invaded to stop the terrorist, or tourists and bush calls them.
Once and for all, IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11, IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11. The majority of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Let's see, does Saudi Arabia = Iraq. Uhhhh noooo. Did the hijackers come through Iraq? NO, they came legally through Canada. Did the hijackers train in Iraq? NO, they trained here in the united states. Was it a surprise? YES to us, but bush in August 2001, during the president's first extended stay in Crawford, that a briefing paper crossed bush's desk detailing osama bin laden's intention to launch terrorist attacks within the United States (http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20050824/cm_thenation/116460;_ylt=AubAfpIUjtailzkIgbfsm2oe_8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl). So where in the hell did Iraq come up for an invasion to flush out the terrorists? I dunno, maybe ask cheney/haliburton.
Which brings me to the next point that bush is pushing for "freedom and democracy." What bush and all of the kool aid drinkers are doing is confusing democracy with capitalism. When any neocon uses the word democracy, they are actually referring to capitalism. In the neocon definition of capitalism, this can be translated into the raping of all of the citizens. Citizens from the u.s. and the world. If you don't believe me search for how much haliburton has made since operation bullshit freedom/liberation began.
So getting back to Cindy Sheehan. What is so noble about this invasion? Come on bush, you suck and everybody knows this. At least do something right in your two terms. Maybe bush can't answer this, because some corporation has not told him what noble is. What a shame, that a man with no brains and no soul cannot come up with a simple answer for such a simple question. Peace, djsquared

Let's talk about Cindy...
Public
What's up,
Earlier today, spoke a little about pat robertson, america's newest assassin. Notice how the word assassin has the words "ass" and "sin" in it. You make the call. Now we move on to Cindy Sheehan and her courageous fight.
First, let's look at the assault by the right. bill o'really on fox has been calling her a traitor. I heard the interview she did with him on Randi Rhodes. I will refer to her lots, cause I like her and I am a fan (http://www.therandirhodesshow.com/live/). Don't know when the interview was done, but I think it was after her first meeting with him. he was being the no-spin asshole that his fans have grown to love. In the interview piece that I heard, he was just coming at her. he told her that he believed that Casey, her son, "had died for a noble cause." he kept repeating this statement. I think that it is great that he can judge a noble cause. If I recall, a noble cause that he recently supported was the noble cause of using a loofa on his producer. Here are a couple of websites that show his credibility, http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1108, and morality, http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1013043mackris16.html. bill o'really you patriotic no-spin son of a bitch, may your flag wave as high as your "big c@#k."
So now the new tactic by the right. The righties sit and decide that the only way to beat a mother, without leaving any marks, is to use other mother's against her. What kind of mothers should be used? Obviouly, right wing mothers that drink the neo-con kool aid. These are the best kind of mothers, cause they really do care. Oh yes, and their children are still alive. I do not think, I could be wrong, that any of the moms interviewed have lost their children. This group called move america forward has started the "you don't speak for me Cindy" tour. These are moms that "support our troops" (http://www.lyingmediabastards.com/2005/08/ribbon-cutting). They have made an ad supporting their cause, http://www.moveamericaforward.org/, which is a trip to crawford to support the president. Check out their ad. Tell me the mother cares. No, I really mean it. Someone, please tell me the mother cares about her son. They are basing their whole trip/campain on the fact that Cindy Sheehan does not speak for them. No shit! Cindy does not speak for me. I do not have children, I am not a woman, and I am not a mother that has lost a child in an invasion that was created by the bush administration. Cindy has never stated that she spoke for all parents or mothers, she speaks for the parents and families that have joined her, http://www.gsfp.org/. That's it. Cindy has one question and a simple one at that. What is noble about this cause? bush, just answer it. Nevermind your vacation, http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=2281&ncid=2281&e=1&u=/thenation/20050824/cm_thenation/116460, just answer the question.
So what do we do about this. Everyone protest this new neocon tactic. The right wing is saying that Cindy Sheehan is a distraught mother who is dishonoring her son and bringing the morale of the troops down. There is nothing more beautiful, intense, and strong as a mother's love and bond for her children. Before anyone comments, I do know that there are exeptions to the rule. But in this case, Cindy has a right and deserves to talk to bush. bush you should do the right thing for once and just answer the question. If you need an example of a noble cause, just look to Cindy and the other families that belong tot he Gold Star Families for Peace. Compare that to your definition and I will guarantee that your definition falls short of what they are doing. bush, the only noble cause that you know is let's have a war "cause" the corporations told me too.
Peace, Cindy we stand with you. DJ Squared.

Well kids, The job that I, DJ Squared have taken upon myself is to be the delivererer, however you spell that, of things that are goin' on. I had to take yesterday off, because of all of the shit that was happening all over the place. My fingers could not type that fast and my 1983 tandy computer would not be able to keep up. For those too young or who don't care, the tandy isn't really a computer, but a keyboard that plugs into the tv. I digress so get used to it.
pat roberton shakes things up a bit when he calls for the assination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Not that there's is anything wrong with this. Just because he hosts the 700 club seen on cbn. What's cbn you ask? Only the christian broadcasting network. (http://www.cbn.com/) Oh, maybe there is something wrong with that. But who listens to this guy anyway? Can't be a lot of people, because if it was, that would be scary. A brief history of the 700 club. "The 700 Club television program is an outgrowth of a 1963 telethon in which founder Pat Robertson asked 700 viewers to join the “700 Club” by pledging $10 a month, money needed to meet CBN’s monthly budget." They are now "seen in 95 percent of the television markets across the United States, The 700 Club now airs in nearly 90 million homes and averages about one million viewers on a daily basis." Hmmm, now it's scary. The 700 club ends its about us with this. CBN IS HERE FOR YOU! Are you seeking answers in life? Are you hurting? Are you facing a difficult situation? Find your way to peace with God Send us your prayer request online Call The 700 Club Prayer Counseling Center at 1 (800) 759-0700, 24 hours a day. Now all they need to do is add a sniper rifle and scope. Don't be scared, he was just misunderstood. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050824/pl_nm/venezuela_robertson_dc You make the call distraction or just misunderstood
It is amazing what the right is throwing at the american people. When all of their approval ratings are taking a dump (http://online.wsj.com/public/article/0,,SB112481890611420718-_YHqCe_oM7fXMITSkTO2yCR8ZiM_20060824,00.html?mod=blogs) they call in a distraction expert. If people think that this should be dismissed, I disagree. robertson and bush and the whole gang are not in touch with God, but they do talk amongst themselves. I need to go now djette aporetics needs my help, but I will address the Cindy Sheehan situation later today.
Peace Dj Squared

Utah Protest
Public
Well Sisters and Brothers, Today is a perfect example of What's Goin' On. I feel and this is totally my opinion that Cindy Sheehan may not be able to speak with bush, but people are starting to question. Today bush spoke to the veteran's of foreign wars about the invasion of Iraq. There was a huge protest and here is a website with photos (this is a large download, many photos) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2026290 Some thoughts. bush's aproval rating is 36% (http://thinkprogress.org/2005/08/22/bush-nixon/) support for Cindy Sheehan is increasing. I haven't checked my favorite news station (fox) for their spin. Probably is the same, but do you think they haven't noticed that people are starting to question? The right keeps promoting "democracy" in Iraq, but shit on us when we speak out. It is ok for the population of Iraq to speak out against ol' Saddam Hussein, but a mother who wants to know what is so "noble" about this cause is branded a traitor. Thanks bill o'rideya if your his producer. The right is gonna come at everyone with their guns a blazin, but I feel that people will start to see a pattern. A pattern that the radicals have been talkin about for a long time. Where the right downplays this pattern as "radical" and "conspiracy theories," people are starting to see the truth.
Do we thank Cindy? Hell yes we do. Here is a face to the devastation that is being created by the invasion of a country. bush has lied, rove, cheney, rice, powell, blah, blah, and anyone connected with this administration are liars. When a state like Utah is protesting bush, then something is wrong.
So everyone out there, look to Cindy Sheehan as an example. Start to question, because true wars have been fought to protect what democracy truly is, the right to question, the right to speak out.
Cindy we love you! Stay strong and know that we care and we support you.
Peace, DJ Squared

What's up,
Today on "What's Goin' On," I will be speaking with Pam Jackson. We will be discussing Cindy Sheehan. The right wing assault that is taking place on a mother with two questions for the president. Pam will also be send a message to Cindy, her supporters, the right wing idiots, and have a message for bush. Who is Pam? What is really goin on? Tune into radioactiveradio.org today at 12pm pst. Oh yeah I will also mix in a little music and the rights use of corporate media to promote a very racist agenda.
Peace dj squared

Public
Hey everyone, This is DJ Squared with radioActive sanDiego. This is my new blog for my new show "What's Goin' On" every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 12pm-1pm. What's Goin' On will discuss what's goin' on in San Diego, the nation, the world, and possibly the universe. Also, I will discuss the "distraction of the moment." The distraction is the crap that the corporate media feeds the kool-aid drinkers, but not my listeners. Tune in because I love you all and I will welcome all comments, except the one's that I don't like. Peace.
