We went and test drove a Mini Cooper S today. It was, hands down, the greatest car I've ever driven. It was super fast and the steering was so responsive. I fucking loved it. Only there is one problem...

I cannot get a Mini Cooper until October.

Stupid wait lists for cars. So I went next door and bought a Honda Accord V6 Coupe EXL. This car :



I didn't actually buy it, I leased it. But I get to have it for 3 years, so that's cool. Maybe the Minis will be available by then.

We have cable internet for the first time (always had DSL) and its fucking fabulous.

Holy shit, we're back on the grid. We have internet and cable (Tivo still isn't hooked up though, as no one knows how to install cable cards). And we have the largest fucking apartment in the world.

Oh, and we're going to The Bahamas in 2 days. Hoo. fucking. Ray.

i realized we have basic cable like half an hour ago so i turned on the only hd channelwe have. i cannot believe how awful this carson daly show is. good lord.

Here's a good comparison of what I've been watching tv and playing PS3 on for the last 2 months versus what I received today :

My television is coming tomorrow. I have no hopes for this to go well at all.

So Rachel and I went out on a hot date tonight and saw a screening of The Wackness.

It's a movie that takes place in 1994 NYC that follows the weird relationship between an 18yr old drug dealer, his shrink and the shrinks step daughter.

It was really excellent. The sort of shoe horned a bunch of dumb 90s references into like the first 15 minutes but then stopped and the movie got really good. The story was fantastic and realistic, something that is usually missing from "teen love" movies.

So I highly suggest going to see it when it comes out.

I thought I didn't like watching soccer, but Euro 2008 has sucked me in. And the game on now, Croatia vs Turkey is fucking amazing. No goals the whole game, then Croatia scores with a minute left in extra time. And Turkey ties it up a minute later. Craziness.

so yeah. Such a tough decision. I walked so much this weekend, which made me realize how much I love living in Boston. But where we live now is about a 35 minute walk to the Kendall place, so every place I walked to this weekend would still be easily walkable. Stupid life decisions.

I've been on a health kick, so I'm trying to eat more fruit. I like orange juice, so I decided to buy some oranges and eat them, even though I haven't had one in over 10 years.

I knew that they came apart in pieces, but I thought the skin did, too. So I sat here struggling to get it open. I finally gave up and grabbed a knife, and promptly shot myself in the eye with orange juice. But I finally cut through it and then remembered that you're supposed to peel the outside first.

So yeah, I'm an idiot. I forgot how to eat a fruit.
