It seems that I have every other day as productive. 

Monday was a long long day.. 11 hours on just one job then 2 hours of either end on the other 2.  My biz partner, charles, is in Miami so we are scrambling to get proposals ready before he leaves on Tuesday. 

Tuesday, I vegged.  I watched 4 episodes of the Shield, season 1.  yes I'm a late coming to the show.  Let it be known that I didn't get into the Sopranos until season 3.  Thru netflix however we hope to be caught up with the shield by the time the new season starts in Sept. I also watched Clerks 1 & 2.

Wednesday, Tiffy came over and did the mail and I did inventory for OMGoddess.com plus put up new listings on ebay.  I need to finish that today. 

Yesterday I started off gangbusters.. but I had to go out at 11 to the grocery..

Side note:  Hey MJ, try the wing deal at Albertson's-- 2.5 lbs of wings for 12.00 in a bucket.  Delicious!!

Met Tiffy there since she had mail.. so that took a bit of time.  Plus it was HOT and HUMID.  not a good combo for Phat chix.  Which btw, the RJ didn't publish my comment regarding the "haters" on the BBW convention. 

I suppose it is better to be stick thin, vomit up your dinner or worse, have surgery to lose those 40lbs than it is to be a happy healthy person??  Sadly people have to find a way to put others down so they can feel good about themselves.  Fat people are the last group it's PC to make fun of, despite the fact that the US is probably one of 3 countries that doesn't embrace curvey figures. So Jenny Craig, Nutrisystems and all these haters.. you can kiss my PHAT ass.  (BTW in case you don't know-- PHAT= Pretty HOT and Thick)

I'm sure it was because I said "ASS" but they let all that hate crap and the FIGGING spammer go thru. 

Anyway.. my point was I came home and crashed again..watched Da Vinci Code again.. 1st time in 2 years, btw.  Then watched Dogma.  I guess it was keeping with the religious themes.

Today my goal is to go to the movies.. I'm seeing Momma Mia while Spud sees "Step Brothers" then we'll go see "Dark Knight" in IMAX.  I'm thinking lunch/dinner @ Palms somewhere and then home where hopefully Charlie has forwarded me the files necessary to finish over the weekend.

After 3 weeks of non-stop company from all over, I finally took a day to "breathe."  Monday was payroll.. it only took me 10 hours instead of the usual 12.  

tuesday I really just kicked back.. watched "There will be Blood" and 4 episodes of Season 1 of the Shield.  Yes I know i'm behind the times on the Shield but I'm trying to catch up .. I hope the following seasons live up to the 1st.  We ordered dinner from Napoli and still had leftovers yesterday. Tortilini is even more delicious the next day!!

Wednesday I picked up Tiffy who doubles as my "office" clerk.  she did like 8 big mail bins, the results of which are sitting in my garage.  I tried to "sort" out my inventory and did manage to get about 20 things relisted on ebay.  I have about 300 more to go.  Spud's Dah picked him up and they went comic book shopping, to the eye dr and then to Burger King.  I love their apple dippers.. of course it's nothing more than cut up apple strips in a cinnamon sauce but I'm a schmuck. 

Today I'm working on inventory again, and trying to get my August calendar together for NYC, San Diego, Chicago and Orlando.  My business partner Charles is in Miami this week and is interviewing down there for me, for someone to cover Miami/FLL area.  They don't have very many trade shows and most are geared towards the Latin community with an eye on South America. 

We are going to try to go to the HOB for dinner this weekend.  I think that Billy and Tiffy might come too so that will be fun.  I really would like to do their gospel brunch one day but for some reason just cannot motivate myself to get up and out of the house on a Sunday unless it's just running to the Palms.

Back to the grind.  I have a new wave of company from the East coming in tomorrow.. for 3 days.. at least they are staying at the Palms so i don't have to Schlep across town. 

Ever wish you could find just the right dress/outfit for any occassion?? Like the thought of having a personal shopper without the expense of one??  Delightful_Deals is just that kind of store.  Our very own Julie has been shopping for me for years.  She used to go with me in person when we lived in Seattle.  Now all I have to do is go to her store on ebay, aka Delightful_Deals, and look.  then I drop her a line and she tells me whether or not it's a "me" dress.  

The dress here is a great example.  I didn't really notice it, but she sent me an email and explained how it would be good for me.  The rouching in the middle will accentuate my waist while the drape in the skirt will mask my hippage.  The blue color (not one i'd normally choose) actually does bring out the blue in my eyes..which btw change colors depending on what I wear or my mood.

After 3 days of running like CRAZY.. and at least 1 hour of walking in circles around target.. I got up at 4am on Friday to make sure I had everything and called the cab by 7am.  Had to make a stop at Dunkin' to get a JOLT before arriving.. picked up my girl Tiffy.. and headed to the Tuscany.  I had the family jewels in hand but my Jamaican connection was following with the diaplays.. one of which I'd painted out the day before at 12n in 55% humidity and 100 degrees.

And i did realize that as much as I watch HGTV (and no it does not stand for HollyGoodhead TV either) I'm am painfully unskilled when it comes to doing anything artsy crafty.

Anyway the rest of the display stuff arrived at 830ish and i had my side set up and ready to roll out..however Charlie -- the x-boy-toy -- sent his assistant to set up his side and she was, as usual late.  (she was the ULTRA skinny blond with sox and crocks and the funny British accent) .. By the time she finished setting up..it was almost 1pm.. but despite that we had a GREAT sales day.


Bashy thought #1:  Since they run the fashion show on Thursday at 2pm.. why not have part of the Vendor show on Thursday evening say from 5pm - 8pm, just so people can wander around AFTER the show while it is still fresh in their mind. Lots of people want to take advantage of the pool and might take a pass by the vendor section after the fashion show. 

But my whole day brightened when MJ brought the Seattle/Canadian crew in to see me.  you all look Stunning.. and happy.. and it was my great pleasure to reacquaint myself with some of you and meet some newbies that I only see here on Multiply.

BTW, Freakie.. I found another one of those limey lucite floating petal bracelets like you had and some girl snatched it right up.. because if "Freakie's wearing it..you know it's hot"... you girls are my BEST advertisements...

We did arrange to meet for a long overdue dinner at the Cantina.. and had an awesome time.. Freak-a-ritas all around!!! Thank the goddess for Taxis.  Christine and Donald it was great to meet you!! and I hope to hook up again either here or in Seattle.  Freakie.. you cracked me up.. I swear hollarin' at the table next to us.. and MJ ..as always.. a cheerful delight.. and yes if I ever ever become rascally.. you have my permission to take over.

Bashy Thought #2:  I think they would have a bigger local turnout if they sold individual tickets to the evening events.  I know I'd of loved to go to the costume party and the formal but the rest was not really in my "realm of action" .. I know that several people expressed that as well who live here.  They would come out for the evening events as well.

Saturday was kind of slow --understandably since I heard there was an all night party followed by a Rising Sun worshiping session by the pool at 5am... hmmmmmm I need pictures of that.

Sadly I couldn't get  up the courage to go out with the Italian.. nice nice man, but he's in NY..i'm here and I'm having a hard enough time just getting through day by day. 

I am going to call him.. and maybe start a dialogue.. because he was nice.. tho everytime I saw him..he wanted to feed me.. maybe i've been in porn for too long and just my nature to suspect a "feeder".. good lord..
