Dear Delriece...
does my best friend noah like me like me and does my x-boyfriend corban miss me
massachussetts
__________
Dear Anonymous,
With a question like this, one wonders why the answer matters! Clearly you're ready to move on from Corban, and you need only ask Noah to find out if he likes you more than a friend! I wonder whether whatever answer I give here would even change your course of action. I very much doubt it! For this reason, I hesitate to reach for my tarot cards. How about we skip the formalities and you just consider this letter a confirmation of your own knowledge? Forget about Corban and have a heart to heart with Noah about your feelings before moving on to new interests!

Dear Delriece...
i HAVE ONE EYE THAT IS TWO DIRRERENT COLORS,i HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS BECAUSE i AM A WITCH??sOME TIMES i CAN THINK OF SOMETHING AND IT WILL HAPPEN,oR SOMEONE AND THEY WILL SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE AR CALL ME,AND THAT PERSON AND i ALREADY KNOW THAT THE CONNECTION WAS THERE BEFORE WE SPOKE.dO i HAVE SOMETHING GOING ON THAT I HAVE YET TO TAP INTO?
MARY ANN
__________
Dear Mary Ann,
No, one eye that is two different colors does not mean that you are a Witch. If one eye is a different color than another, it may simply be genetic, caused by a change in one of the genes that causes eye color. There are also some chemical and physical environmental factors that can change the pigmentation of a person's eyes.
Everyone has the potential to be able to think of something and have it happen. Some people choose to develop their abilities, and some people do not.

Dear Delriece...
i heard that you can tell a person is a witch by the way the lines on a there hand look is that true?anyway i really want to become a wiccan but i dont know were to start i have read about it and i am sure it is the path for me. so do yuo have any advice for me on how to accomplish this
delicia
__________
Dear Delicia,
No, though palm reading is one form of divination, one cannot tell if they are a Witch by their hand, since Wicca is a chosen path. One becomes Wiccan upon Initiation, but before Initiation can happen, you'll have a lot of work to do! In order to be Initiated, you'll have to find a lineaged Coven in your area, but before you search for them, it might be a good idea to decide what Tradition of Wicca you wish to practice. That may mean that you have a lot more reading to do, and it may mean you might want to learn more about the Pagan community in your area. Take your time, and always be careful when meeting strangers! Some people may not be who they claim to be, so always seek others who will vouch for their identity if they claim high titles! Luck be with you!

Dear Delriece...
i want to move backhome to be close to my family but am not havin much look finding a house with my daughter and boyfriend i feel down about this as i miss them all very much do you think everything will turn out ok?
kym
__________
Dear Kym,
You are in control of your own destiny! Whether or not "everything will turn out okay" depends on the choices you make right now. It can be discouraging to search for a house and find nothing, but your opportunities will shift over time depending on the market. Keep your options open, and keep trying. This may mean that you have to shift your expectations, or make a few more sacrifices if you want to speed up the process.

I don't know what to do! Me and my family are poor and i have no clothes and we have no food and we have 5 people living in our house. My mom cries alot and i am threr for her but i dont know what to say . help me!
fallin apart
__________
Dear Fallin' Apart,
I'm sorry that your family is experiencing such hardship! Are you living in the United States? If you are under eighteen, your parents should be providing you with food, clothing and adequate shelter. I'm sorry that your mother seems unable to do so, and is crying so often. Has she been able to apply for government aid if she is unable to work? Your mother should visit your state's Department of Social and Health Services. There, she will find social workers that can assist her in finding work, or helping her if she is disabled to get cash assistance, medical coupons, food stamps and other services. I hope your family can get what it needs soon!

Dear Delriece...
i..i dont know how to say this but i'm realy interested in witchcraft but how do i start? i'v been looking at websites and stuff but none of them seems to be real. i'm just really confused about it and i'm thinking about it all the time, please help me.

__________
Dear How,
Well, in order to know how to start practicing WitchCraft, you're going to have to know what kind of WitchCraft you want to practice! And in order to find the answer to that question, you'll have to keep plowing through this uncomfortable process of sifting through information. On websites, a lot of the information is bogus, and the information that is true may be sparse, indeed. You'll find a similar phenomenon when you go to your local library to check out books on the subject. And it's good that you've already started using critical thinking to evaluate that some of them don't seem to be real. Don't give up! It's important to read many views on the topic so that you can learn about it from all angles and decide for yourself in which direction you wish to proceed.

Dear Delriece,
I have this crush on a girl and she likes me too, the problem is i'm a girl and my parents don't exactly approve of bi people, which is what i am. I want to date this girl, i'm actually planning on asking her out nut i don't know what to do about my family. I don't think they'd exactly approve of their 15 yr old daughter dateng another girl. What should i do? Should i tell them or should i live in secret until i'm 18 and then tell them just as i'm moveing away. My mom has expressed serious feelings agaist people who are bi even when she knew i have a bi friend. And my dad isn't exactly the most gay friendly person i know. But i just so confused!!!!!!! Please tell me what you think i should do!
Worried
__________
Dear Worried,
That's a rough spot to be in! Are you afraid that your parents might physically hurt you if they knew you were bisexual? Because, if that is the case, you'll need to get somewhere safe. But, if you know they won't be dangerous to you, and are just worried about their emotional disapproval, my answer is different. You shouldn't plan on dating this girl in secret, especially if you want to be sexually active with her. Your parents may be misguided about gay and bisexual people, but they are responsible for protecting you from the dangers they perceive in the world. Perhaps, if you tell them about yourself, they will eventually become more understanding of other gay people. Or, perhaps, they will make you wait until you are eighteen and moving away before you can date women that you like. Either way may be a rough road for you, but it is the honest road.

Dear Delriece...
Hi, im 12 years old and ever since i was like 7 years old, i've always liked witches and i would always get books that had witches involved. When i was still around that age, my oldest sister was into witchcraft, and at that time i didnt understand what it was, and i was always cerious. so, now im older and i understand what it is and i have been studying it since i was 11 and yes my parents know, im turning 13 on september 30. and i was wondering if thats enough studying, and is there something wrong with this story, and do you think i should continue being wiccan or what? im very confused. please help me out. if you can.

__________
Hello there,
I'm not sure that I understand your question, so please reply if I do not answer it sufficiently. It's wonderful that you have had your parents' permission to study witches, witchcraft and Wicca for a couple of years now. But, there is never enough studying! Especially if your goal is to eventually become Wiccan, since you won't be old enough for Initiation for a few years yet! You say that there might be "something wrong with this story," and if you feel like there is something wrong with what you're studying, by all means you should stop studying it! But if you are happy with your learning, you should continue to learn for the rest of your days!

Dear Delriece...
is there any spells to lose wieght?
Anonymous in Salem OR
__________
Hello there,
There are absolutely spells to lose weight! There are many of them, in fact! But whether or not you could perform them successfully on your target is another matter entirely! Even assuming it was a well-written spell, the best spell in the world can be worthless. You see, a written spell is like sheet music. You must first have your instrument, know how to read sheet music, know how to play your instrument, have some skill, and last of all practice before the song will come out like it is supposed to! By the time you've spent years finding and perfecting your spell, you might as well just go to the gym! However, a well-placed prayer for confidence and guidance could help you along as you learn about your health and your magic. Be sure to talk with your doctor before beginning any weight loss plan, whether magical or mundane.

[08 Sep 2005|10:02pm] |
Dear Delriece...
do love spells really work? and is there really a spell that can make you a witch?
Amanda in U.S.A.
__________
Dear Amanda,
I get a lot of questions like these, and it's like asking "do cars work?" Some cars work, if you want to drive them to work, but they sure aren't going to fly across an ocean. Some cars are good for street travel, but would never make a long trip. And other cars are simply lemons! Besides, one would need to know how to drive and have gas in the car to go anywhere, and having a license and insurance wouldn't be a bad idea either! It's similar with love spells. There are some that "work" for some situations with some people.
As for whether or not a spell can make one a witch, well that depends on what you believe a "witch" to be. I'm sure there are many out there who want nothing more than the title, and such people may believe to have claimed it with a single spell.
Light! Delriece
__________
Dear Delriece...
h ow come witches ask for money if you want a spell done for you?
Amanda in U.S.A.
__________
Dear Amanda,
Not all people do, but charging for the performance of a spell is common. Many do this because their magic is a discipline that has taken them years of practice and study, and they feel that they deserve compensation for their skills. Not only that, but spells often cost the practitioner money for the supplies that are required for the spell. They wouldn't want to pay that out of their own pockets!
In addition, many magical workings take a lot of time and a great expenditure of energy. For some who follow Afro-Caribbean religions, charging for spells is a necessity, since the magical practitioner would not have the time and energy to make a living otherwise. Finally, some magical practitioners perform particularly risky spells only at a very high price, since they are earning some of the consequences of the working.
As a side note, please realize that this does not mean that everyone performing spells for money is doing so legitimately. Another number of those charging for spells may simply be ripping off their customers. Some religions, like Wicca, forbid charging money for performing spells, though they may still sell magical products or request the money required for supplies.

Dear Delriece...
Is there any way to switch bodies?
Coleman in Salem VA
__________
Dear Coleman,
That depends on what you mean by "switching bodies." Magic is not about party tricks, and in the belief of many, it should not be used to harm or control others by stealing their bodies from them! But there are some spiritual disciplines that involve astral travel into the body of an animal or consenting human.

Dear Delriece...
I'm 12 years old and a catholic. But lately, I have been really interested in Paganism. Specifically Wicca. My parents tell me that all of those religons worship the devil, which I know is not true, I have done my homework. Its my parents who havent. I bought tarot cards with my own money and they went crazy when they found out. I have a feeling I may want to continue with this path, but I know I cant do it all secretlly, what should I do?
Anonymous
__________
Dear Anonymous,
It's very good that you do not wish to follow Wicca in secret. Your parents are legally responsible for your religious upbringing, and the only reason they go "crazy" is because they care about you so much, and don't want you to come to any harm. My advice is to put your pursuit of Wicca on hold until you get permission from your parents. You can do so by requesting that they speak with you, and then presenting all the "homework" you've done on Wicca. Help them realize that you are trustworthy and responsible by being good and honest to them. Perhaps they will notice that your new interest is making a positive impact in your life. If they still don't understand, remember that you'll have the rest of your life after you turn 18 to practice Paganism.

Do you think jefffery still love me and he still think about me?
Anonymous in south caolina
__________
Hello there,
Your question makes me think that you probably already know the answer. And either way, would the answer truly affect your course of action? Would you stop loving Jeffery, even if you knew he didn't love or think about you? If Jeffery loved or thought about you, would it make the reason the two of you aren't together any less true?
I drew a tarot card to advise you, and got the inverted Lovers card. I think it's time for you to seek a relationship in which you care about the other person just as much as they care about you. It does not seem like that is the case with Jeffery.

PURPLEGIRL
__________
Dear PurpleGirl,
If you've felt sad for an extended period of time, and especially if it seems to have no cause, you might be suffering from Depression, rather than simply not looking at the bright side of things. If you continue to feel this way, you should visit your doctor. Sometimes a simple change in nutrition, sleep or other physical matters can make a world of difference! Other than that, try to make time to reduce your stress and engage yourself in more things that you enjoy. I know my advice is a little simplistic, but it's difficult to assume with as much information as I have about the issue.

Dear Jennifer,
The short answer is no. Using a divining rod as a way to find water or other underground materials is something that some Witches do, and some Witches do not. You do not have to be a Witch to divine water, and you do not have to divine water to be a Witch.

i've been having some weird dreams lately!like i had a dreamt that i was on a road trip tp armenia couple nights ago..and last night i had anoher dream about traveling and i want to england!? what does it mean? and if feels so real , it's like i can't distiguish it from reality!

__________
Hello there,
If you have traveled to Armenia and England before, it is quite possible that you may be astral traveling back to those places! If you haven't been to those places before, your astral travel there is less likely to be done by accident. In that case, those places and what you see there may have symbolic meaning in your life, perhaps meaning a changing of ways or priorities, or perhaps having some more personal symbolism for you. Start keeping a dream journal, if you haven't already, and look for meaningful patterns.

Dear Dayvielyn,
Well, for better or for worse, you are in control of your own destiny. That means that I cannot answer your question very precisely, because the choices you make now affect the answer. However, I worry that there might be a deeper problem here as well. Even if I gave you an answer, why is it that you seek it? Would the time that you meet "Mr. Right" help your life as it is lived right now? Perhaps it is this discomfort with how things are that might prevent you from meeting and keeping people around you who could affect your life for the better?
